Motto: "'till All Are One"
In light of all the rumours and news and now photo evidence recieved, I thought of reviving this thread for use of discussing the G1 reissues by Hasbro that are happening in 2015.

We had the following statements from distributors and people attending the nurember toy show so far:

From TFW2005 member CATZ Jan 14

G1 box set:
- Blaster
- perceptor
- Insecticon
- Trypticon
- g1 cone head set

The G1 cone head set was confirmed in back of the insecticon box which we can see in the initial posts in thie thread. At the time there were also rumours of a masterpiece Blitzwing.

From TFW2005 member Marvelous Jan 29

Also there were more platinum sets with G1 reissues/ repaints. One set with Blitzwing and Astrotrain, but with strange color schemes. BW was mostly red, while AT orange and white.
the second set includes Blaster and Perceptor Which seems mostly unchanged from their G1 style. Percy had a new accessory, that can fit on his back and looked like sine sort of missile launcher

This confirms the rumour for perceptor and blaster reissue and shows that the rumour for MP Blitzwing may have been a confusion with the G1 reissue.

The reissues described can be found in the photo below.

Image

The only reissue rumoured that has yet to be confirmed is Trypticon.

The Current reissues are:

Blitzwing and Astrotrain, but with strange color schemes
Insecticon Set
Conehead Set
Blaster and Perceptor

So far there is no indication that these will be either regional or store exclusives.

Its been answered:

orange and white.

Now I am less sad that I just bought a G1 astrotrain a month ago. At least I have some decent colors.

Yeah, same here. Doesnt mean I wont buy him necessarily, but I am definately not bummed that I got my astrotrain (he came with the G1 instructions too! the only ones I own). I have no clue where those colours come from, but you can totally make out that something is wierd with the colour scheme on the blurry Klaus photo. I deifinitely see the organge/red she was talking about.

oh ive got nothing against wiggidy whack decos (love the YOTG soundwave and laser prime) but its strange that theyd choose to go that route. all im hoping is that if astrotrain if different, so is blitzwing. that would make its purchase worthwhile to me.

Thats been answered too. All in the same paragraph above where I sum everything we know so far:

I have no clue what they are going for with these colors. If Sabrblade is listening, could you clue us in on what the homage is supposed to be?

That is a cool high five BTW. can I get one?

EDIT: Holy crap guys! I didn't realize at first, but that Han Solo, right there on that box, is the whole reason I started collecting toys. 1996, I woke up one morning in college, hung over of course, pored a bowl, and filled out the order form. A couple months later, on a Star Wars hunt I picked up Dinobot and Waspinator. the rest is history. Sorry, That picture just took me way back.

Holy crap! I still have that Han Solo in his mailer box and baggie. I'm going to head over to ebay and see what he's going for, and with the oversaturation of SW toys, I'll be lucky if I can get enough to buy another box of Froot Loops. Bringin' it full circle!

Omnibots were- which 2 do you have? Downshift (white one) and Overdrive (red) are the best 2. Camshaft (silver) is kinda crappy.
I don't ever remember Fridge being on card. Fridge and Chuckles were always on my 'batshit crazy Gijoes' shelf, along with the Cobra-La team

Shocked to see Kmart sell G1 reissues. wondering if Target and Walmart plan to sell them also.

Might be interested in buying a reissue trypticon.

Pictorial Review - Hasbro Platinum Edition G1 Reissue Insecticons

Postby Va'al » Tue Feb 03, 2015 12:00 pm

Motto: "Till All Are Pun!"
As the set is showing up overseas and in the US, we can share a pictorial review of the Transformers G1 Reissue under the Platinum line of the three purple and yellow menaces: the Insecticons Bombshell, Shrapnel Skrapnel and Kickback! The review comes via fellow fan Marcus Goh, and can be found in full here - but take a look at some of the mirrored images below, comparing them to our own Seibertron.com galleries of the original toys.
