Marcelo Matere Official Package Art - Platinum Edition Predaking and Grimlock

Artist Marcelo Matere, who works on multiple incarnations of the Transformers franchise, from comics to games to package art, has updated his Facebook page with a couple more pieces of original art used on some boxes you might be holding in hand! Check out below for his take on two Platinum Edition figures: Predaking and Grimlock (note, this last one was reversed on the final package).

Artist Marcelo Matere has updated his Facebook page once again, with more linework and coloured art for the official package images for two more recent Platinum Edition figures: Bruticus and Year of the Horse Optimus Prime. They to go to complement the previously shown Grimlock and Predaking - check them out below!

So is the year of the horse Bruticus the same as the one at TRU with Grimlock included?

No silly, that's the original art used for that set, it's no new release. The "Year of the Horse" refers to Optimus Prime only.

- PotP Punch head
- TR Galvatron right arm (the gun one)
- CW Brake-Neck/UW Wildrider, CW Offroad

- Greenlight, Lancer and PotP Elita-1 (plus repro Victorion hands and feet?)

It looks like the artwork for Bruticus is backwards like a reverse negative.

The correct term is "mirrored", and you're right in that aspect.
