Honestly, the only one I dont have is Thundercracker and I really wanted to get that mold as Jetfire...who is at BBTS for 35. Is Thundercracker worth getting too or should I just get Jetfire? Either way I'm paying about the same price. Which mold is best as which character?

I really like that mold as Jetfire, it comes with the helmet!

2nded! I really like Jetfire and think that may be the only version I need (still on the fence, we'll see what happens when Skywarp hits) The Seekers look GREAT, but I think the mold was really meant for Jetfire. And that's a good price at BBTS.

The Jetfire mold is nice and sexy as hell in alt mode. Really you can't go wrong with any version. I'd say it depends on who you need where and at what scale.

I have the JF flavor, but loves me some TC; very tempting at that price and I just checked it and its down to $26 and some change. But that can change at any second.

I May have to nab TC to stand next to MP Starscream.

I really hope they make a Thrust version of the Jetfire mold. Those VTOL turbines would look boss....

There is one other reason the Jetfire version is better. The mold has these holes in alt mode for the jetpack/back cannons (dont know what to call it). That accessory doesnt come with the seekers but the holes are still there, which kind of sucks. It also shows that the mold was made for Jetfire first. I hear Burn has different thoughts on that though.

I have TC and I don't love it. $27 is probably what it's worth IMO. Can't go wrong at that price.

It just means the seekers can borrow JF's backpack for some extraplanetary fun!

Ross, your TF markdown HQ

Postby no-one » Tue Sep 29, 2015 1:15 pm

Hey can I change the subject? If you haven't figured it out by now I'm a sucker for a discount store. Hit a Ross up today and found a couple AoE leader figs for $25.

They also had voyager Sky Byte for $11.

Yep, Ross is a pretty decent spot for that kind of stuff. Marshall's and TJ Maxx seem to be a bit better, but they're all extremely YMMV, as you pointed out :)

Maybe we should have a separate thread for Market Six stores, if we don't? Any objections? Would that help things or just muddy the waters on what goes where?

I suggest instead to make a thread for brick and mortar and one for online sales. I think thats a clear enough line to follow so that the water stays as clear as possible.

Hehe, yeah, for me personally that's even more confusing (double post when online and B&M?), so we'll just let this one be for now. Was just some food for thought anyhow, nothing I was gonna act on right away.

I think it would make it harder to follow/share deals.

This thread would have to be renamed or two additional threads would have to be created. This is mostly an online deal thread anyway. In store sales are rare just like good finds at disount stores.

I like the one stop "shopping" we have now.

I think it fits Jetfire better. i love the mold and Jetfire just works so well. The seekers design kind of sucks cause it is the fake cockpit, same as Jetfire, but being the Seekers I feel the cockpit should form the chest. It's excusable on Jetfire for me, but not the seekers :BOT:

as tempting at the price is, I think I'd rather get Jetfire. I don't have him and I do have a deluxe WFC version of Thundercracker. Had this been voyager instead of leader it would have been a sure thing, but I think Id rather have the mold as Jetfire. Hurts giving up on a deal like this though!!!

Also, I saw a Rattrap at Burkes for 12.99 so deluxes may be out at TJ Maxx and Ross too
I have been into transformers since 1984.
While I love G1 I also love new innovations and takes on the characters.
I prefer official Hasbro releases of stuff for the most part
I'm not a huge fan of Japanese original Transformers media or designs.
It's easier for me to say which are my LEAST favorite toy lines: Beast Machines, Robots in Disguise.

Agreed. Thundercracker does look really cool, but the mold just isn't him enough to get. disappointing really, but oh well. at this current rate a voyager seeker mold should be coming soon ;) :BOT:

I've only seen AoE deluxes at TJ Maxx and Ross recently no Generations deluxes, but I've seen Scoop and Armada Starscream at Burkes for $12.99. Same wave as Rattrap.

CW Leader UM back down to $40 and not sure how long this will last. It's from a 3P seller but is fulfilled by Amazon and is Prime-eligible. Anyone have this figure? Is $40 a good price or wait for a bigger discount?

I dunno, between my own horror stories of this guy and those of others 'round the net, I would be hesitant. But it is a great figure, and I wouldn't mind paying $40 for it, that seems fair.

UM is the best that I've personally had a chance to mess with. But Meg's with the DX9 upgrade gives him a run in my book. Still, Magnus is out of the box goodness. So good that I'm considering double dipping for the takara version.
