Reading these bios... seems like Sideswipe, Strongarm & Fixit are the "new" Jazz, Prowl & Wheeljack, respectively.

I can imagine there being only so many character traits, and any new character created is going to sort of resemble an older one.... but, I feel like throwing up my hands in despair. Especially after reading about 'Optimus Supreme'. So is that a new rank above 'Prime', which Omega Supreme already reached??

I know its aimed at kids, but since its a sequel to TF Prime, and it's part of the Aligned Continuity. But oh well, I'll watch it with my boys. :-)

Sideswipe... Being the "Deadpool" of the group? If this guy doesn't break the fourth wall, I will be disappointed. But only because they mentioned Deadpool.

So yeah, I'm going to have to agree with Sabrblade on this; these bios are very unprofessional. Now, normally I try to avoid coming across professional in my writing as to connect with other people, but I will have to state that, when you're doing bios that you will show to other people, it's best to avoid calling people "OPTIMUS PRIME" and "OP" in the same paragraph, as well as referencing a character from a comic series that usually have an age restrictions on them (Deadpool).

Just from the sheer disconcerting "there has to be a lesson these characters must learn from each other" built into their various bios, showing me that this show is centered around the 7-10 age, and how the previous series (Prime) was made for someone in their teens, I think this one's going to be a pass for me. I might tune in for an episode or two just to give it a fair shake, but more than that I cannot say.

Plus, the Decepticons need to be a little more malevolent for my taste from what I've seen from trailers, but that's just like stating "licorice is the best thing ever", when we all know it's basically an acquired taste. In other words, this is my opinion. Plus, I'd rather not jump the shark until I see how it looks later on.

Well, at least Optimus looks badass in this show. And I've always wanted to get to know the first 13. But apparently, there's 12 now. Which more than likely means they're pulling that crap where they try to make Optimus the 13th Prime. I HATE that idea. But as long as there's finally a series, besides the movies, where we actually get to see the first Primes, I'll take what I can get.

I dont think its a spoiler, and I thought he was always said to be the 13th. I didnt know it was something debated upon. I hope they keep the fact that one of them is a minicon. Also, I look forward to seeing what Soulus Prime looks like. If people though Strongarm was a beefy fem-bot wait till they see the fem-bot that uses that Hammer! Also, does this mean we get to see Vector Prime come back?

EDIT:

I looked into it and yeah, Optimus being a prime is a new thing that was just established with the recent Transformers: The Covenant of Primus.

Don't put too much stock in the bios. If someone were to do bios about us we'd come off really rather boring and 2 dimenional.

Funny things happen with chatactears all the time. They grow as the writers start fleshing out more personality as they spend more time with them.

The bios seems just sort of the ideas they pitched rather than a real work up. Especially with all that (Read 'insert relatable established character here') and the abbreviation.

Meh, I just hate the animation style, so I wish we had gotten the Primes in Prime instead. Also, minicons will always be creations of Unicron to me, so I hope they at least have some cool origin or something special about them, other than something generic like they were numerous in the "ancient times" or something.

Where have you been? Optimus has been the 13th Prime since late last year. And we've already seen all 13 in plain view (save for Optimus, whose original form was obscured from view). Did you avoid the Covenant of Primus book for some reason? A big deal was made about the thing from the time of its announcement to the time of its release.

I'm not saying that deadpool is definitely not aimed at kids so the reference is kind of weird to be aimed at kids, buuuuut...

And the Kindergarten Cop reference is at least a decade before the target demographic's time. Such lines and other bits in these bios feel more like notes intended for production crew members rather than for casual viewers.

Though, it seems the official website has amended all the bios to remove or rephrase certain things, anyway.

No, trust me you don't. It's awful. Just read the summary on tfwiki if you want to learn what happens in it. But don't go and spend your money on it. The writing is terrible, it sucks and kinda ruins the whole mood and scale the Aligned Universe has had before hand. Literally, all the characters we know have been around from the start, never actually aged, and are responsible for everything. Seriously, Perceptor is responsible for giving Cybertron its look, he along with others created all the shaped and craters on Cybertron. And what makes all this worse is not just that the book insists on making all classic named characters extremely old and responisble for everything, but also insists on mentioning that everyone has forgotten about all that.
Never bothered finishing it, it's about as bad as the crappy prequel novels, only edge it has is the fantastic artwork.

As to the bios, I believe those are just internal notes, quite possibly the ones that the writer who's tasked with writing the official bios was supplied with, to give him/ her an idea and feel of the characters. They where simply uploaded by mistake.

I do like what I read though, they sound interesting, only Grimlock seems to confuse me, that bio (the parts about his personality, not the references to being locked up) does not fit the way he acts and seems in the clips we've seen of him.

Man, I hope so. Cybertron didn't really take advantage of Vector Prime's full potential story-wise, there's just so much that could be explored about him, and so much more that he could reveal, given both his vast age and his ability to manipulate time.

I dunno about him, but I avoided it because it's so expensive.

I'll take your word for it. To me, the fact that he sounds exactly like Cyborg is still overshadowing everything else and I can't get a read on what he's actually like.

Yeah, he looks a lot like Loki (The one from Marvel Comics, not the actual mythological version) to me. I think it's probably so Quintus Prime can be the weird unnerving tentacley one instead.

^ this x100. I don't consider it canon, personally. It's, at best, a decent fanfic and at worst the most (barely) half-assed attempt at a story bible.

I looked at the Optimus Supreme thing and all I can say is that Hasbro has jumped the nuclear shark. Look, I love OP as much as the next TF fan, but this is getting a bit ridiculous.

Making him one of the 13 was a move not many people I know are pleased about. Giving him a super ultra mega upgrade is something they like LESS. I'd honestly would have been more cool with the new RiD if they changed the frackin' name (another Robots in Disguise? Really?) and if it didn't focus mostly on Bee. I don't hate him, but he's bland and not interesting to me.

78 episodes? I'm cool with that. Hopefully it doesn't get halved somewhere down the line because of reasons or whatever.

The thing that bugged me the most about that was the lack of an explanation for why they all had forgotten things of the past (whilst dudes like Alpha Trion seemed to have never forgotten).

However, this desire for an explanation would ultimately not go unanswered as the Retribution novel would go further into this by exploring this concept and why it would happen to those whose memories of old would be lost, and utilized it as a plot point exploited by the antagonists of the novel.

More recently, writer John Barber has started using a strikingly similar phenomenon in the latest issues of the IDW RID comics, going as far as to even create a technical term for it and explore its nature and mechanics even further.

And it's a whole lot easier a pill to swallow than the old "Unicron's black hole is mucking up both reality and everyone's memories" excuse.

Why would he be? He's the Loki of the group. The conniving and crafty manipulator with a silver tongue.

I dunno about him, but I avoided it because it's so expensive.
*shrug* I got mine when it was on sale, about 51% off.

Yes, Megatronus is The Fallen. Was there any doubt of The Fallen having been a Prime before? :???:

I'm gonna brace for any drama from Cartoon-canceler Network or for any soft reboots insisted by Hasbro a la Beast Hunters.

Then again, Rescue Bots seems like its on its own way to 78 episodes, so there could still be hope.

And if it wants to have 78 episodes, it better get them in before the next movie. Because Primus knows we can't have movie and cartoon toys at the same time, and there's no point wasting money on a cartoon that doesn't move plastic.

As for Rescue Bots, is there any word yet on how many episodes Season 3 has, or what happened to the missing Season 2 episodes?

No word on either yet. I'm just speculating on season 3's length since, unlike both Prime (who was striving for 65 all along) and MLP (whose 3rd season production was cut in half to allow them to simultaneously produce the Equestria Girls film), Rescue Bots has little to interfere with it having a full-length 26-episode season, so we can hope for the best. :D
