Big disagree right there. The RID 2015 line had some truly inspired designs and it is amazing how some translated to toys. RID warrior fracture outbeat any other toy in terms of complexity for the pricepoint that year.

Through RID we also got a top notch legion class.

I collected all of RID Legion except for a couple figures that weren't distributed in the States. Amazing quality for that scale, and the designs mean there were a lot of very unique toys. Legion Springload comes to mind, a tiny frog truck, fantastic.

Yeah, this is the scale where you can get a lot of fun decepticon designs we didn't get properly in other classes, within a similar scale. So Springload in his correct alt mode, but also Clampdown and Groundpounder.

Agreed with all of this. People are still sleeping on RiD2015 toys. that was such a good line

Ah, yes. I did do top 5 legions, but I could definitely do top 5 RID legions. Already have a great idea for it. There would only be 1 autobot though.

The face looks like a sock puppet and this should be a voyager. We don't need bad size gimmicks to get kids attention. When I was wee I only asked for toys that had gimmicks that were relevant to the plot and if the character looked like what I saw on screen. I wasn't an idiot, the toys advertised the show, not the other way around, and this line sucks just as much as the last two mainline transformers show toys did.

Well, not really because that's EXACTLY what the Unicron Trilogy was all about. The toys were all 100% show accurate, gimmick included. Especially the gimmicks.

Only because the UT cartoons based their animation models so closely on the toys' designs. The toys were still being made first in the Unicron Trilogy. It wasn't until the first live-action movie that we got a line where the toys were based on the motion picture media designs rather than vice versa.

Right now with the Legacy wave 3 deluxes and Starscream dropping early from Amazon, I hope these don't show up until the beginning of the new year. Especially with a rumor I heard that Evolution wave 01 is already in port.

Them being in port just means we'll get them some day. If it's an item that has no street date, it usually takes 2 months after them showing up at port to be on shelves. But they could always be retained at Hasbro's warehouse instead, like the FOTB toys that showed up 4 months ago in port and have yet to be seen at retail.

Just as long as there's nothing more coming until January, they can keep them in a van down by the river.

I'm just wondering who will get there first, BBTS had the the deluxes up for $20.99, so I have them there, and they have been pretty good about being first with several categories of toys lately

Hahahaha

More excited for the Twitch figure after watching the first episode. I wish the blades were removable as swords, but they look good for poseability.

New Images of Upcoming Transformers Earthspark Toys in Packaging

Postby william-james88 » Sun Nov 20, 2022 4:50 pm

Motto: "'till All Are One"
Thanks to In Demand toys and an e-bay listing we have in package images for more toys from the Transformers Earthspark Toyline. We have Transformers EarthSpark Spin Changer Optimus Prime With Robby Malto along with EarthSpark Deluxe Wave 1 Bumblebee, EarthSpark Deluxe Wave 1 Megatron,, EarthSpark Deluxe Wave 1 Terran Twitch and EarthSpark Deluxe Wave 2 Shockwave who is a redeco of Cyberverse Shockwave. These official images also show us the build a figure component and we now know that the extra arm that comes with Shockwave is Novastar's.

Another newsworthy feature of these images is that we now have an unobscured back showing the Grimlock and Nightshade image for the cross sale. However, these are CG designs rather than the toys themselves so it is unknown if Grimlock will be a rerelease like Shockwave.

So far the only one I might have any interest in getting is Thrash as I like both modes. As for the show the premiere was alright but I'm just not into the animation style used for them in general, though the story does appear to have potential. Elita-1 doesn't look bad though, seems as if she's the only one to retain similarity to past versions.

Honorary mention is Nova Storm, the pic on wiki looks cool but I've not seen the character in action.
Shockwave always seems to look the same no matter what line he's in. lol
