i got around to unboxing my CW haul from the other day.

theyre simple, they work, and they have modern engineering! they are damn fun toys. i dont really know how to put it into words, but it makes me feel like a kid again. with dragstrip in the mix, it even harkens back to the day when i had a couple scramble city combiners, but not one proper full team of five

now my inevitable comparison to 3P...
3P combiners look phenomenal. but they are fidgety, delicate, and pain in the ass to assemble. my CW almost superion is none of that. combined or uncombined, they are a joy to play around with. and while my CW almost superion doesnt look as phenomenal as my 3P combiners, he is only one small notch below. i will have zero issues displaying my CW with 3P.

i might note that i saw the news on takaras superion just before i found them all, which made me think if i would buy any of hasbros. im going to be getting takaras, but dont regret grabbing hasbros for a second.

only thing i havent done is play around with optimus, but he's ok. im a little bummed that his shoulder insignias are actually stickers though.

Agreed, which is awesome in our house because we have a family collection. Metroplex arrived today! Daughter arrived home from school to see him standing on the floor with all the Legends, G1 minibots, and as many Target Master/PCC and spare weapons I could find to peg into him.

We have seen blacked-out silhouettes of the Insecticons (for the Transfomers Adventure line), but if the TakaraTomy versions of the Aerialbots are any indication, we can expect him to be more show-accurate.

I expect that, but given that he's so simplistic, I can't imagine that there will be much of a difference on him

Depending on price I might pick it up just to have another Powerglide that, hopefully, has legs that peg together easily.

What a relief on Hot Spot.

Sabrblade! I was just digging around trying to find the post that listed "Megatronus". Can't remember where it was. Any guess as to what that might be? Just saw a Takara Megatronus on amiami.com that was a nice repaint of Gen. bomber Megatron.

The one on AmiAmi is Takara's release of Generations Megatron, done in comic-accurate colors. They chose to give in the "Megatronus" name and tried to pass it off as a pre-Earth, pre-Megatron version of Megatron, which made no sense since he got that body long after having come to Earth and in the present day in the comics (which Takara's bios were drawing from starting with Deluxe Ratbat).

As for the news post with the listing, here - http://www.seibertron.com/transformers/ ... res/32007/

This price point of $29.99 is very miss leading. Too much for a Voyager. Too little for a leader. I'm stumped.

This poll clears up that the fan made combiner will be made up of existing molds which gives more fire to my theory that the white Optimus found in the poster earlier is simply a promo for this poll to give an idea of a possible outcome.

The name itself comes from the Aligned continuity media (novels, Prime cartoon, Covenant of Primus book, etc.) and refers to two things. One is the original name of The Fallen. The other is the name Megatron gave to himself back in his days of being a miner. He originally had no name, only the nickname of "D-16", taken from the sector of the mine he worked in. When he became a gladiator, he named himself "Megatronus" after The Fallen's original name, and later shortened his name to just "Megatron" after the crowd watching one of his fights cheered his name without the last syllable.

It's a name that has little to do with IDW Megatron, though. I'm thinking that toy listing could be for a new Prime Megatron toy in the RID line to represent himself after he's retired from being evil, possibly having returned to using his old "Megatronus" name.

Possible reveal of Transformer Combiner Wars Hotspot and Groove

Postby william-james88 » Sat Jan 24, 2015 10:28 pm

Motto: "'till All Are One"
Fellow Seibertronian Maxwell's SW's SilverHammer has informed us that the Combiner Wars poll is now available in the updated AOE Transformers App.

In this poll, Hasbro invited fans to choose certain options to make a fan built combiner. However, the choices are only amongst many revealed and existing molds that are already part of the Combiner Wars line. There are however two new molds that were not revealed before and they are presented below. Knowing that the protectobots have already been revealed to form the next combiner, the fact that the app mentions the two molds as "Torso" and "Weapon", along with their specific alt modes, makes it very possible that these are the molds being used for Combiner Wars Hotspot and Groove.

Image

Lastly, the reveal that the fan built combiner will be made up of existing molds gives further evidence to the possibility that the White Ultra Prime Redeco seen in a leaked image may just be a promotional image for this poll to give an idea of a possible outcome rather than a specific upcoming figure.

So I'm assuming Hot Spot and Groove will be the only new molds for the Protectabots. Alpha Bravo will be Blades, First Aid will be Off Road and Streetwise and Rook will probably be other Stunticon remolds.

Hey, my pal Chuckdawg, so glad you could drop by. As you can see above, we now have what will probably be the torso for Hotspot. So, knowing this, I would like to know if the rumours you had spread about what we should expect in a year were based on something you had heard/seen or if you were just playing with us. Because that Hotspot torso is a new mold and not the same mold as Optimus . Also, if those rumours were from a source you seriously believed, does this make you doubt the truth in the other rumours? (example, Devastator being released as a bunch of MPs) I am just curious as to the trustworthiness of your source in light of this, and by no means do I extend that to you (unless you were just messing with us all along).

I think either Rook or First-aid might be a new mould used for Ironhide and a Combaticon. That Hotspot looks great to me, and I imagine an Onslaught made from that will look awesome.

I think either Rook or First-aid might be a new mould used for Ironhide and a Combaticon. That Hotspot looks great to me, and I imagine an Onslaught made from that will look awesome.

Uhhh.... How exactly did Ironhide get involved in this?

Ironhide, Sunsteaker, Mirage, and Prowl all had Walmart computer listings for Generations.
