Transformers: Heroes/Animated

Postby Saber Prime » Tue May 29, 2007 3:12 am

Just found this http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Transformers%3A_Animated don't know how much of it is true but seems the new series has simply been dubed "Transformers Animated" to distinguish it from the Live Action movie.

Allso as we allready know David Kaye (better known as Beast Wars/Machines Megatron and Megatron/Galvatron from A/E/C) Will be the voice of Optimus Prime this time around and it allso mentions Corey Burton (Brawn, Shockwave, Spike Witwicky, Sunstreaker, Vector Sigma, and Wideload from the original Transformers) as the voice of Megatron in this new series.

Please oh please be another Canadian-made, Mainframe type dealie.

All these asstastic, no-care-for-continuity Japanese ones are KILLING me.

EDIT:

::actually bothers to read::

Production

The show will be directed by Alex Soto (Teen Titans, Ben 10), with Cartoon Network vice-president Sam Register as executive producer and Vincent Anciento as line producer. Additionally, Beast Machines writer Marty Isenberg is returning to Transformers as the head writer for this series. Lead character designer Derrick Wyatt (Teen Titans, Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends, Legion of Super Heroes) is creating a "brand new look" unlike anything seen in Transformers before. The series is being distributed internationally by Entertainment Rights. [5]

Not bad, not bad. I don't think so anyway. Could be worse?

Please, i hope this will be made by the same team who made Beast Wars! I don't care if it LOOK anime, i just want it to be less....well...japaneese! So, no stupid **** "Supamooooooode!"

But yeah, i wish for something which older fan can enjoy. Beast Wars was designed to be kiddy, but it still rock as a semi-serious show!!!

I just hope doean't turn out to be something awfully stupid and pointless. Not to mention kiddy...well, kiddy in a way but you know what i mean!!!

It really can't get too much worse than the last few. I've been a TF fan for more than 2 decades, and I couldn't watch Cybertron at all.

Although the plot of "Young Leader leading a bunch of older troops" has been done, it was called "Thundercats".
Check out my sales thread, plenty of Generations, and Reveal the Shield figures for sale!!

It's been done in Transformers before too, several times in fact. Hot Rod/Rodimus Prime was the youngest Transformer at the time he became leader.

Cheetor lead the Maximals for a while and he was technically the youngest member at the time.

Wedge from Transformers RID is the leader of the Build Team but he's allso the youngest member.

There's probly more but thoughs are the only ones that come to mind at the moment.

Same. I turned it on, it was an episode about a big race... and it was the lamest thing I've ever seen.
Err, wait. Was that Cybertron or the one before it?
Oh, who knows? They've all been the same poop.

You know. Something is really weird about this.

We're Transformers fans, so how the hell did these so called "details" slip past the fandom and hit Wikipedia of all places?

We knew that Kenny would be voicing Starscream somewhere in a TF piece. Nobody said it would be Heroes.

We knew, or at least figured the designs would be "stuff we've never seen before."

But where did
Confirmed Transformers featuring the show include Optimus Prime (who will be a fire truck), Megatron, Bumblebee, Ultra Magnus, Prowl, and Starscream. It is believed that the Optimus Prime of this series will be younger than the other Autobots; it has announced that David Kaye (best known for voicing the Megatrons of the Beast Era and the Unicron Trilogy) will provide his voice.

The Bumblebee and Ultra Magnus info's new to me. I knew Prowl was in there because Michael Bell tried out for the voice, which was reported some time ago.

You do realize the stuff on Wiki is added by users right? That means it didn't bypass the fans because it's some fan who put that information there in the first place.

My point still stands. This hit wikipedia, before we heard(at least the Bumblebee Magnus bit) about it as news on here or another TF site.
