This gives me some hope for supporting media as well, colonies and not-Cybertron-itself planets full of Transformers are a super fun concept that doesn't get visited enough.
Anyway, big 'ol Gigantion Metroplex, hell yeah

Again, your comments are borderline ethnocentric. Please refrain from further comments of this type. You are a staff member; please act like one.
I highlighted the fact that in two markets (the US and Japan) there is the possibility of cheaper, more affordable original versions. Your own, finite and limited experiences are irrelevant to my points, as my points were to highlight the (possible) general states of things. Please understand the differences.
My points, quite obviously, still stand. If you're unable to grasp such simple points, then I'm afraid I cannot help you.
Right back at ya with your "ethnocentricity".
YOUR personal experience is totally irrelevant for EVERYONE outside Japan.
So your point "stand" only for you.
As for Americans, appart that single listing, finding a complete original with his Minicon for a reasonable price is pretty rare.
primalxconvoy wrote:Incorrect. My two points highlighted both Japan and the USA. I didn't disregard the USA, nor use my own, unique and personal situation to belittle a whole country's market, which you did. Thus, it was you that was guilty of ethnocentric behaviour. Please refrain from it and set a better example to the community here please.

Juist for clarity, the minicon included in that listing is not actually Drill-bit. Its the Street Action Team Grindor which turns into a skateboard.

Drill-bit

I did not know a complete Cyb Metroplex was so hard to come by. Seems i could put mine up for sale and cover the cost of the new one easily. Not that I’m going to though.
They are doing Transmetal 2 Megatron, as a Leader class figure. Why would he need to be Titan-sized?zatara1701 wrote:The original toy was lame with crappy alt modes, now they're making a Titan Class version? Not to mention it's of a character we have already had... They could've done a NEW Primus, Transmetal Dragon Megatron, or another Titan Class combiner... Saved me $200.

"Minicon included".
Oh, that's just EVIL.
If your Cybertron Metroplex is 100% complete with Drill-Bit, don't sell it if you love it. If you do, it will be gone FOREVER.
Beside, I bet the titan will look great together with the original.
zatara1701 wrote:Because it would be awesome and better than this... This toy was equivalent to the now Leader Class, so why not Transmetal Megatron? I can promise you, a $200 metallic dragon would sell.

People blew that wildly out of proportion. A leaker said that Hasbro was considering replacing Titan Class with a second Commander and bumping it to $100 (which I would have been fine with since I generally don't buy Titans). People took that and ran with it, and treated it like it was 100% going to happen.Hellscream9999 wrote:But I guess this means that the rumor's of the titan class' demise were just lies then

I would like him to come with a minicon, which I think he still could, but seeing a deluxe sized version would be awesome. Hopefully more stuff will continue to leak in the coming days.

I hope they do Mini-Cons where appropriate, but only if they're way more fun than the WFC Micromasters. At appropriate size and with today's realities (like em or not) price-point wise, they're probably going to be a hard sell to do correctly. Heck, just reissuing the old ones might be the way to go.Hellscream9999 wrote:LinaNui wrote:My goodness this has seemed to really divide people. If I remember correctly, the minicons didn't scale with the base figures, they were all the same size, the giant planet characters were just extra large comparatively, so any minicon he comes with should be the same size as any other minicon they put out in this next line
It not only has the wrong Mini-Con but also the wrong Cyber Key as well.o.supreme wrote:The original Cybertron Metroplex was what..$50 USD when it came out? I never collected Cybertron. I was tempted to get Primus, but never got it. I'm not sure if this one is 100%,but it seems mostly complete.

Hasbro sold him as a Leader class toy by packaging him in Work Mode, but his proper robot mode was almost as tall as a Supreme class, coming pretty close in height (about a head shorter) to Cybertron Primus.-Kanrabat- wrote:OG Cybertron Metroplex was bigger and more massive than leader Optimus and Megatron. I don't know if he was still classified as a leader at the time though.

Titan would be way over the top. But if I remember the show, he was much bigger than his OG T-Rex self. So I think Commander class would be a perfect fit for him.

The commander class would have been perfect for Transmetal 2 dragon megatron.
