I'm interested in Animated Prime... I wonder though, will he be the cab per usual (and thus very likely just look like G1 Prime in new colors), the full firetruck (like Inferno), or the cab with an axe/jetpack that fills it out (like the original voyager)? Disappointing lack of Lockdown though...

Hoping Sandstorm looks good in all modes, though I fear bot mode will suffer. Also kinda hope he's on the taller side, but that's just because I think having a Sandstorm that's about Siege Ultra Magnus height would be cool.

Cybertron Starcream will be interesting to see, especially since they originally didn't release his voyager toy in the US

Most excited for the BW updates. Interesting that there may be two such physically similar Maximals on the shelves at once that aren't the same mold. Silverbolt always did need to be a bit taller to scale with just about any given Blackarachnia toy.

Tigerhawk will almost certainly have proper purple this time, but I really hope he retains or somehow homages the original toy's "hidden" feature of the Vok generator that you can only see when he's opened up mid transformation. Maybe it's just that The Trigger was the episode that got me fully onboard with Beast Wars just after TransCon '97 put an end to my year and a half of knee-jerk reaction against organic alt modes, but it was just so damn cool to see that the first time I handled ol' Thunderbutt.

I'm pleasantly surprised by the mix of continuities being revisited, assuming any of this is accurate, even if I will be passing on every single 1 of these, except maybe that leader optimus, depending on which one it is. The only other listing that has my attention is the update to Animated Prime, though I wonder what they can come up with that would top the original voyager. That was pretty spot-on. Maybe finally give him a trailer? But that would make him a leader or a commander. I also like that G2 Grimmy is coming, gives a decent chance for the other G2 Dinobots.

I'm still waiting on a cleaned up version of WFC Springer, preferably in the SS86 line, as well as G1 Sureshot.

Really excited to see these figs. Especially Thundertron, I was thinking of picking up the original figure but I am interested to see how the new one will hold up. I do wonder if there'll be some wish fulfilment by actually using the Star Seekers like originally planned instead of going with the Predacons. (Not that I dislike the Prime Predacons at all, I just think space robot pirates would've been really fun.)

Also I am VERY eager to see Sandstorm. I hated the T30 and especially hated how it looked, so having a figure that'd look more like a proper G1 Sandstorm would be nice. It's probably going to be 'toon accurate but I hope sculpting makes up for the missing sticker detail the animation model forgot.

So I'm guessing 2024 is taking us back to the Universe title again. I guess we should have seen that coming eventually.

I'm glad Tigerhawk is going to be a Leader, it was necessary to do him right. But I'm very excited over the prospects of Silverbolt being a Voyager! That might be the most exciting thing about this list, lots of potential.

Not all that crazy about Animated Prime being a Voyager, I was hoping they'd go full concept trailer or at least the flight pack, but I guess this is their Voyager good guy leader slot filled.

Really looking forward to Leader Sandstorm as I didn't like the looks of the previous Generations version. But after Blitzwing I try not to get too excited about more Triplechangers from the current design team.

I'm surprised they're doing Cybertron Starscream "already" when we have yet to have seen our first Armada Starscream repaint. Can we possibly get Thundercracker, Skywarp and Ramjet in 2023? Would they still do them in 2024?

Thundertron is a big surprise, but also one of the figures with the most repaint potential. I love the original mold and bought all 3 additional redecos. I don't know if they'd bother doing Leo Prime, but I could see Go Prime and Alpha Trizer happening. Myabe AT can be in a 2 pack with Flareup to homage the BotCon set (minus Apelinq).

Looks like Laser Prime is getting rereleased, though it says EVO so is it really a 2024 rerelease?

G2 Grimlock was inevitable. I'm guessing a Walmart release, we don't get as many leader exclusives from Target, they tend to prefer box sets at the higher price point. Plus it'll most certainly be blue. Target can have a red Slug or something.

I'm not so sure. The design team will certainly go with purple, but we've seen a few examples where upper management shot them down in favor of toy colors. Plus they'll most likely do Razorclaw who is basically Tigerhawk's cartoon colors with the white replaced with black so they might choose to go with blue to further separate the two.

The original Thundertron was a BAD toy. I hated every fiber of that mold. It was ugly, flimsy, things popping off everywhere, and he was just bland.

I ham, however, interested in how Legacy will re-interpret the character. Will it be just a pretool with an out of place head like Legacy Bulkhead, or will it be a so absurd-but-awesome new mold like Jhiaxus? :-?

I also fear those Animated characters will be bastardised with the "G1 Beam" like the Prime characters are.

Interesting list.

The things that excite me the most are Tigerhawk and Silverbolt. 2 of my favorite beasts, with Tigerhawk my favorite beast, finally getting another crack. I am thankful.

Until I see my first Legacy Animated figure prove me wrong, i am going to assume Prime will be butchered like the Prime characters already have been.

Thundertron is an interesting one, not one i would have expected. We'll see what happens with him

I get all the other abbreviations but UT? I'm I missing something? (Entirely possible). Is this the Universe line, that was populated with repaints? (Admittedly some bloody crackers. Universe Tigerhawk and Depthchange were gorgeous.

That is a fantastic line up though. As much as I've enjoyed the huge amount of G1, I'm looking forward to seeing the other lines get some love. I want BW Inferno and ordered Armada Hotshot (wishing he came with Jolt!) and I await other returning universes eagerly!

What's interesting about these is that their assortment codes and Legacy subheading show us that these are toys planned for 2024 (we already know all mainline Legacy toys coming out in 2023). It's only leaders and voyagers for now, but that's a record for the earliest we know of releases. Here they are:

Tra Gen Legacy UNI LDR BW Tigerhawk
EAN: 5010996192226

Tra Gen Legacy UNI LDR G1 Sandstorm
EAN: 5010996192233

Tra Gen Legacy EV LDR Optimus
EAN: 5010996192141

Tra Gen Legacy UNI Voy Animated Optimus Prime
EAN: 5010996192189

Tra Gen Legacy UNI Voy Prime Thundertron
EAN: 5010996192172

Tra Gen Legacy UNI Voy Cyber Starscream
EAN: 5010996192165

Tra Gen Legacy UNI Voy BW Silverbolt
EAN: 5010996192158

That's a big mix of G1, BW, UT, Prime and Animated. We also have a listing for G2 Grimlock (redeco of Studio Series 86 Grimlock) which is the leader for a upcoming capsule. Those are exclusive sublines, like the velocitron line. It's unknown if this will be for a subline found at Target, Walmart or Amazon.

Tra Gen Legacy Capsule LDR G2 Grimlock
EAN: 5010996143112
Product Number:F7517

Interesting Lineup.

LDR Prime is almost certainly the Armada Prime the teased in the Legacy poster.

Not sure how you bring Animated Prime into Legacy and not just make him another G1 Prime though. Probably a more stylized head sculpt. Otherwise Animated is just G1 Prime in the more stylized Animation style.

Tigerhawk and Silverbolt definitely interest me. Very similar alt modes though ones a wolf and the other a tiger.

Cyber Starscream is. intriguing. Cybertron StarScream? Would totally be in for an update of that design. Only version I own of Cybertron SS is Universe Dirge. I'd kill for a Thundercracker or Skywarp repaint of that design.

Sandstorm poses a question. Would he be a retool of Springer, or a new mold?

Oh man this is exciting
Tigerhawk is the highlight of this list for me, I still have my old tigerhawk and tigatron has always been a favorite of mine. Having airazor now makes it that much cooler

Silverbolt is exciting as well, he was always cool and Blackarachnia needs her chivalrous SO

Sandstorm, can't wait. I've been wanting a Sandstorm but t30 just doesn't do it for me. The decepticon triple changers have been falling flat but if this one is closer to springer I'll be happy. Fingers crossed he has the toy accurate head, that face mask is dope.

Thundertron is so exciting. I love that design so much and I've contemplated getting that figure but the alt mode was done a little poorly around the legs and the sword kinda sucks. Plus, maybe they'll make an alpha trizer out of him!

Animated Optimus is interesting, thats a maybe for me

Don't care much about cybertron Starscream, that design is whatever to me, ill be happy with Armada.

G2 grimlock should be cool too

Boy, a whole decade later and Hasbro is still trying to promote the character that most of the fandom simply does not care about at all.

I'm reminded of when his original toy was first unveiled back at BotCon 2012 and the Hasbro folks were really excited about it, but nearly the entire audience in the room simply reacted with "Who?"

I think about less than 10% of the people in that room even knew who he was from having read the Exiles novel beforehand. And I was among that small amount who recognized his name from the book.

Funnily enough, all of the original toy's redecos have received more love and attention by the fandom than said original toy ever did.

Thundertron was a sleeper hit for me back in 2012. A very unique design and cool transformation. Nice deco as well. I thought he was great, it didn't matter that he wasn't in the show (Although I did think the name 'Thundertron' was a little tacky). I don't think I would get this new one, though, since my original in still in excellent condition.

Also, Cybertron Starscream can go right ahead and exist now at this very moment, please.

T30 Sandstorm is excellent. It's great retool of a pretty decent figure already. The massive wheels / v-tol engines are just a ton of fun.

It would not surprise me if it's still a retool of Springer with more accessories to make up the price. There's no real reason to make him a Leader when Springer is just a Voyager.

Sandstorm poses a question. Would he be a retool of Springer, or a new mold?

New mold, since this one is a leader figure

LEADER?
Why?

Anyway, you got my attention. :-?

Probably to utilise the leader budget for a more complex transformation, much like what was done with Blitzwing by making him leader.

(People weren't too satisfied with the results, myself not included, but I feel like Sandstorm will probably be better. At the very least his animation model didn't misinterpret his modes like Blitzwing's did.)
Like a regular eagle, but from space.
