Emerje wrote:Ferak is odd. They didn't really try all that hard to make him look like the Botcon figure, there's no black at all and they didn't use the paint ops where they could have. The new wings and wingtip guns are interesting, but that probably means he wont have the Universe mold's nosecone like I hoped he would. I'm guessing the head is supposed to be based in part on the original figure, but then I have to wonder why they didn't use that head on the toy style Selects figure.

Emerje

Technically the Botcon Ferak had very little black on him. Just his abs and the landing gear covers.
Image

So it's not that far off. They did modify the red paint apps, removing his chest paint app entirely.

He's also missing his Deception insignia on his forehead.

A retooled nosecone for jet mode, would have been nice.

That was perhaps the lamest live stream they've ever done. No Hasbro reveals, not one. And it was only 23 minutes long.

Agreed.

Correct me if I am wrong, but I think at this point there is exactly 1 Legacy/SS toy that has not leaked for the next waves, and by leak, I mean half of them have been found at retail and legally bought, not even truly leaked.

At a bare minimum, they should have completed revealing the Mayhem line today, especially since now half the star seekers are revealed by walmart and will go up for preorder before next weeks stream, once again putting them behind

Thanks to JTPrime17, we have product images of the newly revealed Starraiders. These are all retools of “recent” figures part of a Walmart exclusive subline. Below you will see:

Filch based on the RID 15 character, using the Kingdom Airazor mold.
Cannonball based on the Cybertron character using the Legacy Skids mold.
Lockdown based on an amalgomation of previous versions using the Legacy Axelgrease mold.
Ferak based on the IDW character, using the Kingdom Cyclonus mold.

We will post the links to the Walmart preorders when we have them.

Skids mold still does nothing for me, but if it ever gets repainted into Red Alert I may get it. The original had such a unique transformation, nothing will ever replicate it, but I think this mold may look better in white and blue.

Lockdown, is looking pretty decent. Might get him.

Fitch is calling to me. But I don't know If I need this mold a 4th time.

Ferak... not feeling that cut off nosecone. but the extra wing guns do look nice.

I know nothing about these characters, but based on what I've seen, I'm guessing a Cybertron Red Alert is coming as well? Also, if I happen to see Lockdown, Ill get it simply to have another Junkion-Type weaponizer.

Curiously, a Voyager class Armada Red Alert was in the listing leaks instead of a Deluxe class Cybertron Red Alert.

Looks like Walmart is trying to repeat what they did with their for exclusive Legacy Beast Wars figures and just use the current line's boxes instead of something unique like they did with Toxitron and Velocitron.

Funny thing is we're getting a Voyager Armada Red Alert next year so unless they also do a Cybertron version we'll probably never see this particular retool again.

I like Ferak more and more, he looks really good holding the two wing guns instead of his main gun. Seems they did redo the nosecone after all. After going to the trouble of retooling the wings I wish they would have done something really different with them and sweep them back instead forward like Cyclonus. They even gave him new shoulders, it would have been very easy to change the wings further.

Understandable, that's how I felt with fossilizers when there was never a predacon version of wingfinger. And I never got a Maximal version of paleotrex either so I'm left with the original 3 and Masterdominus

I also kind of like Cannonball, and I do need more Decepticons for my shelf so I may get that one.

Yeah, Cyb Red Alert may never see the light of day from this mold. But who really knows. Hasbro may just decide to stick him in a multipack as an Amazon Exclusive or something in a few yeas.

As for Ferak, you can always just rotate them around yourself. At least on Cyclonus the swivel is tight enough to hold its position without being tabbed in anywhere. And it does give him a very different silhouette. Granted all the hinge kibble there is less that streamlined... but what you gonna do.

Yeah, I'm still hoping for a Predacon repaint of Wingfinger at some point. Transmutaute or Spindle both work for a heroic Theropod component to the Fossilizer combiner.

Filch is a Decepticon in RiD '15, but she has a Star Raiders/Seekers logo on her lower left leg. These figures are being marketed as being from neither Autobot or Decepticon factions.
