That reminds me of seeing swoop on his back in Dino mode flapping his wings attempting to get up lol I don't remember if that was the movie or the cartoon. I dont care if they're in a different line either, exactly like you said its about the quality. Cyclonus and Scourge are in different lines and it makes no difference to me, they're both great.
I've never had all of the dinobots, mostly because there was never a set of them that was worth it. If the other 4 are like Grimlock though, I won't hesitate one bit.
If anything I'm still deciding whether or not I'll only get the other 4 or still get grimlock, since I already have the MP version and all the figures coming out are gonna do me some damage as it is

Y'all are right haha, although the cartoon is not the most reliable for scale it looks like Swoop is supposed to be leader class

YESSSS!!!! Sure, lots of inconsistencies in the cartoon. But either way, Hastak should go all out for these 5.
I would be shocked if any ended up shelf-warming.

I will say that as much as I love my MP Grimlock his loose hips and ridiculously tight knee ratchets can be annoying at times, along with his hands.
And I do like the Wheelie that comes with SS86 version, and that he has more options for adding weapons
They haven't actually done a full 4 Deluxe/Voyager waves since the initial year of Studio Series, every year after has only had 3 waves. What's weird though is that since then, we've been getting 3 waves of Deluxes with no less than 3 new figures per wave, 3 waves of Voyagers with exactly 2 new figures to a wave, and then 3 Leaders split between 2 waves, and this year seems to be messing with that pattern with the B-127/Dino wave to the point where I think we might have to get 4 waves again.TF-fan kev777 wrote:It might be a little while longer until we hear anything new for leader class or the dinobots. Studio Series traditionally only as 2 waves per year for leaders, whereas the deluxes and voyagers have 4 waves per year. The next wave looks like it is only B-127 and Dino for Deluxe and Bee Cybertronian Starscream repacked with SS86 Hot Rot for Voyagers.
However, the next bunch revealed or leaked should have deluxe through Leader and would generally be available around July, so I would expect some news to start trickling in around March/April. Also keep in mind, we kind of found out about Slag a bit early compared to when he is due for release. We basically found out about him and Grimlock at the same time, but they are about 6 months away from each other as far as being in stores. That makes the lack of news on him seem even more glaring.
Unfortunately that also means it will be a bit of a wait to get all the dinobots if Hasbro keeps only doing 1 leader every 6 months. Let's hope they get back to doubling up in the future.
alekese wrote:Just because we've only seen 2 deluxes out of the next wave so far doesn't mean they're the only ones. Earthrise fasttrack was previewed at the same time as er wave two, and was the only member of wave 3 we saw for several months until the rest were revealed later.

The photographer shares in the accompanying tweet that they wanted to recreate a pose that Dino does in the movie (the machine translation says play instead). We also get a good close up look at his vehicle mode as well.
Will you be adding Dino to your movie collections?
Shout out in the Energon Pub and stay tuned to Seibertron for all the latest news and reviews!

Yep, the Ferrari license is held by another company right now IIRC.
SS Dino's vehicle mode does seem to draw some influence from his generic car mode from the DOTM video game, though.
