He is the producer though.

But it would be cool to see how they adapt this.

Still hasn't stopped the Bay-haters from jumping on it and having a whinge.

Why are you all acting like this is out of place? I've always enjoyed the action packed fast paced explosiony adventures of Dora.

This is either going to be a disaster or the most hilarious thing.

Considering who's at the helm? Both. It'll be both.

Except no one is at the helm yet as no Director has been named.
And, as that article has been subsequently updated, Bay will actually have NO involvement whatsoever, it's only his production company that will be involved.
(Though I can just see him poking his head into a meeting one day and saying "You should put an explosion here :-P )

All that will happen is some explosions and rude humor stretched for 2h 30mins, like every other bay film.

You know, I had this whole reply about how I was gong to explain how you should actually READ the article, but it ain't worth it, 'cause what I really need to say is, you should read up on the forum rules, especially the sig guidelines, 'cause yours is in violation. :-P

Ah, sorry didn't read the article - my bad.
Also had no idea about the signature rules - sorting that out now..

Honestly, an actually Bay-helmed Dora the Explorer movie would be rad as hell. Like, I see absolutely no reason why we need a Dora the Explorer movie at all, but if we were to get one, it should be by Michael Bay. The fact that he's not actually involved in this at all makes me sad. Because seriously, a twentysomething Dora as a spicy Latina with akimbo Sten guns and her sentient wisecracking monkey companion fighting a criminal mastermind anthropomorphic fox in the jungles of South America would be the best thing ever. And the fact that it's not happening necessitates sad music.

one of my happiness moments as a father was when I turned Dora on for my son, and five minutes later he told me it was boring and wanted to watch Voltron.

That sums up my feelings on any potential movie, directors and producers be damned.

Won't this be similar to Tomb Raider? I suppose that Dora could explore different things, like abandoned factories and shopping malls! How about exploring her inner self (psychiatrist, Tibet, psychedelics, self-help books, etc.)? ;) :michaelbay:
