A Robotmel Lazy Customs Production

Presenting

Classics Voyager Wrecker Rotorstorm!

This is my Lazy Customs Production of Rotorstorm from The Wreckers.
Using the main body of Age of Extiction Voyager Drift, I removed the head from an original G1 Rotorstorm, filed down the neck piece and attached the ball jointed plate from Drift back onto the G1 head. The new head/neck needed a filler inside the shoulder/neck area to prevent it wobbling about so a small square of foam was cut to size and placed within the cavity.
I may paint the inside of the helicopter canopies/shoulder pads with a pinky paint but not too sure yet.

Cool; I honestly never thought to use old G1 heads for custom projects. It's not too big to fit inside the vehicle mode, though, is it?

It works so well. Great update for an old character utilising one of the better modern day molds.

;)
Nope, fits perfectly well as the original Drift head is pretty big, what with that massive head crest and all!

I love the original Skyhammer version of this mould. He was my repurposed stand-in as the same character until this deco was announced which nailed down the colours really well as a potential Rotorstorm. Love it! :-D

I took a risk getting the G1 Rotorstorm as I wasnt too sure of its actual size but it all turned out perfectly in the end! ;)
