The special challenges are still running (there are still 2 more to go), but I think someone has completed the Prowl one, I'm checking it now. I'll post it up shortly.

Edit: it's not been completed yet, but AZ is really close!

The Hunt may have ended, but the Challenges keep on coming!!

Special challenge #2

Image
Pretty sure even the GoBots saw this coming!

Coming as a shock to absolutely no-one, the reason for Starscream's abandonment of Kaon has been discovered - he has been compromised by the Reavers and has turned on our Commanders!

Image

The Starscream challenge: Capture your opposite faction leaders to keep them safe from the clutches of Starscream and his new Reaver allies.

Take down any 3 Autobots or Decepticons who have led their faction, before Starscream can get to them and maybe they can work out how to reward you with The components for a cure?

There are plenty of options out there from any universe, so the three could include...
:BOT: Optimus Prime, Optimus Primal, Rodimus Prime, Ultra Magnus, Grimlock, Blaster, Bumblebee
:CON: Megatron, Beast Wars Megatron, Galvatron, Shockwave, Soundwave, Starscream, Ratbat.

Note: We are looking for leader alts here, not names. Each character can only be claimed once, but multiples if the altmode is allowed. Any leaders you want to claim being the above list must be backed up by TFwiki or similar.

And remember, Challenge #1 is still active, this game isn't over yet!

Challenge 2: leader claims:

Claim 1 - Fortress Maximus Leader in several continuities including Headmasters cartoon series and Marvel comics.
Claim 2 - Fire Convoy (aka RID Optimus Prime), leader in the Car Robots(aka Robots in Disguise) cartoon series.
Claim 3 - Grimlock leader in the Marvel comics and UK Earthforce comics.

Challenge complete.

No.

That alt is based on Sky Lynx

I know, but Sky Lynx and Blast Off have the same alt mode, they're both spaceshuttles. One is just bigger than the other. Hency why I asked.

High Command and his insane knowledge of obscure and weird Transformers takes Special Challenge 2. Challenge 1 still to go and maybe even more to come...

The 3rd and final Special Challenge is here!!

Fury wrote:

ALL HAIL THE REAVERS!!

Special Challenge Orders #3:
Push the Brood back!!

Defend Darkmount!! The Reavers, led by the one they call Fury are close to sacking Kaon. Although this may be good news for the Autobots in the short term, if the Brood gain a hold of this city then it'll be far easier for them to attack the rest of Cybertron, especially now they have added Starscream to their ranks, so they have little choice but to join in the counter attack.

Comprised almost entirely of NAILs, the Brood is strong but has little direction, relying on zombie-like flood tactics to gain the upper hand. We can use this to our advantage, and repel them with a mobile defensive barricade.

Your final challenge Cybertronians, is to kill 50 soldiers from the Brood Nail armies [Nails = HMW players who have not signed up for the game this round]. You can kill the same opponent as many times as you like, without the Weapons we are creating, the Brood just get back up again.

Whoever does this is the shortest length of time will win. The mission number of the first kill you log will be subtracted from the last log you pist. Whoever gets the lowest score will win.

The twist is, as the Cons need the Bots help to defend their capital, and there are far fewer Decepticon NAILs than Autobot, the bots get a 10-kill head start.

question for this last challenge, are you using actual time or are you using the delta in mission numbers? Both seem like they'd work though actual time seems slightly more fair (and I noticed it is now available in the mission logs...is that relatively new...I gotta pay more attention).

Difference (delta? I'm not a numbers guy lol) in mission numbers was the original plan as I'd forgotten about the times on the logs as well.

I'll give a few of the others a chance to complete and we'll see how the scores look.

I'll also be sorting the Weapons out tonight (real life permitting!)

nice job Steve, guess I don't need to go through my last 8 hours of missions to count results cuz there's no way I picked up another 25 to get to 50.

Autobots needed something. I'm still adding to my count, just to know, looks like mine is more like 1400 missions
At least Bun Bun's training program :HEADHURTS: is keeping us sharper on logging missions.
I'll take MVP if it is Mossberg Varmint Predator.

And with that we'll call an end to round 3, thank you all very much for joining in and hope you enjoyed it!

Round 4 will start in around 2-3 weeks.

Until then, keep an eye on this thread for the weapons that you have all earned being released, they will come in handy for round 5!
