Profile: There are many words that can describe Bugly, none of them are very flattering. Overbearing, maddingly intense, uncomfortably cultish...
But possibly more than any other Transformer, Bugly is all about control. He craves to have control over all others, manipulating them to do his will.
With his comrades in arms, this presents itself in his role of strategist. Ordering those around him to do his bidding… err his battle plans… plays into his deep desire to control others.
To accomplish this goal with his enemies, he breaks down his victim. Tears down them down until nothing is left but fear… of him. And he uses the cruelest methods possible. Torture being his favorite.
The difference between Bugly and a terrorist is his desire to be hands on with his victims, his torture takes time. Rather than setting off a bomb, he prefers a sword point, or fear of electrocution.
Bugly is a near master of the ancient Cybertronian martial art of Circuit Su. Focusing his energy into an electric blast rather than a hands on or swordplay style of fighting.
Circuit Su believes in harnessing the energy of one’s spark and focusing it into a blast. Bugly, in a bit of twisted mysticism, believes that by drawing more and more energy through his spark in practice of Circuit Su, he is depriving others of energy. To him that is the ultimate control. And what he craves… control… over all.
This requires a huge amount of mental focus and “power”. He spends all of his free time trying to refine his practices. It is his religion, a deep, spiritual belief that guides all he does.
Abilities: Through his mastery of Circuit Su, Bugly has been able to generate a blast of energy capable of momentarily overloading his target this immobilizing them. The effect doesn't last long.
Though his alt mode is a Hoverjet, he is not capable of VTOL, however he has boosters that can give him a temporary burst of speed allowing him to close in on or pull away from an enemy.
Despite being such a devout follower of Circuit Su, Bugly is well skilled in traditional combat, with both swords and rifles. He would prefer to use his martial art, but not every situation is optimal for that.
He is highly intelligent, making him a competent strategist/leader.
Weaknesses: He believes his strategies are far superior to anyone else’s that he often automatically rejects plans except for his own.
He has (not surprisingly) a bit of a superiority complex. Along with his usual religious practices, this causes conflicts with others making him hard to deal with.
