Profile: Gauge was once a mine worker, the same as Drill Bit was, and both of them highly admired Megatron for his strength and resolve. At the time of their imprisonment after Megatron began the revolution against the government, he and Drill Bit were imprisoned. During his imprisonment, certain inmates were selected to become guinea pigs for science. Gauge was subjected to many a horrible experiment, and in the process, his larger normal sized mech body had been stripped away from him and replaced with a micro-sized one, making him amongst the smallest of Cybertronians.

After recovering in his new form, the bite sized bot tried to take advantage of his small size and planned an escape. He was unaware however, that this was all part of an experiment. His captors knew he would try to escape, and when he exited his containment cell, he was soon placed in one harder to escape from. He kept finding ways to escape, and kept being placed in new environments, successfully becoming a lab rat for the science division who were studying “the criminal mind”. In his last attempt, Gauge actually outsmarted the scientists. He waited until he knew they wouldn't be watching, having studied their patterns throughout each hour of the day, and escaped his cell then, though not unscathed. He ran straight for the room with the lock console, having discerned it's location on escorted breaks, and put in the code, in which he had swiped from the feeble minded guard's data pad one night he begged for rations until they gave in. After this, he released everyone from their cells and havoc ensued, in which soon after, Megatron and his entourage came to save the day. Since his escape, the crafty little mech made it of the utmost importance to stay very near his much larger sibling, even taking a new alt mode in which he became a useful tool for his brother to utilize.

Gauge is the brains, whereas Drill Bit is the brawn. He's highly intelligent and can make decisions on a dime. If anyone wanted to escape a high security prison, this guy is the guy to ask. He's an expert locksmith, pickpocket, diversion maker, bomb defuser (and bomb creator), and can rig just about any piece of scrap to make good use of it. That said, he's also great at his normal job, which is engineering. He can fix many things, and even knows enough about mechanoid anatomy to perform crude surgery when it's needed. The little guy's biggest priority though, besides surviving, is keeping his big brother out of trouble, which is more or less a full time job. Because of this, he is often quite bitter.

Abilities: In his robot mode, Gauge uses a small laser pistol to defend himself. He has a really good aim, and can time shots really good as well. In his alt mode, he has to be carried around to be of any use, but he's really good at drilling. Besides this, the little guy is a menacing genius and can create a plethora of homemade weapons from scrap, and is a great tactician. He's even an amateur surgeon.

Weaknesses: Gauge is weak in strength and can't take a whole lot of damage either. He relies on his brother Drill Bit for protection from large foes who could easily kill him. He's also often caught up in rescuing Drill Bit from his drunken tendencies and acting as his “designated driver”.
