With the release of Striker Eureka on the horizon, I really wanted to buy them all, the Jaegers anyway. The Kaiju are maybes. I liked them on screen, but the toys are bland IMO.
Ayway, if you got any of them, what are your thoughts? Quality? Posability? Displayability? Are they worth it? And if you see Gipsy Danger can you hook me up?
No seriously, its the new vehicon.

I like the movie designs but sadly it's NECA that does them and I'm not going to spend one more cent for their sh*t quality.

I bought a gypsy danger fig and while gently removing it from the plastic the arm came out of socket. It was easy to place back in but still pissed me off. I have him displayed with my bandai godzilla vinyl figures and he looks nice.

You think hes top heavy? Check the new 18" versions of gipsy and knifehead, they're HUUUUUUUGE!!! Also, from the smaller affordable line, the aus jaeger is on the way and if all goes well, Cherno too. Some more kaiju as well, but I dont really care for them all that much.

I've got Knifehead and Leatherback. The only JAeger I'm interested in is Cherno, and I hope like hell they make one. I'd buy any of the other Kaiju they release as well.
I'm not the biggest fan of NECA stuff, but I think the Kaiju are nice for what they are. They are very much ONLY display pieces; Knifehead, as Wheeljack said, is incredibly top heavy, top the point that moving his arms makes him unable to stand and LEatherback, as others have pointed out, really does just stand there. To me, that's alright, as I'm interested in them more as statuettes than I am anything else. I guess it's just a hold over from my McFarlane collecting days. I'd buy more or less any of the other Kaiju as well, and honestly was pretty disappointed when they made Leatherback over the other monsters who all have far better designs. All the criticisms of Leatherback are totally valid and deserved. He's heavy and big, and that is all. I do like him for what he is though, even though it's not much.
The Jaegers don't interest me much, but I do like Striker's look. I may grab that one while waiting for Cherno, but I would buy a Cherno instantly. Best design from the movie.

I really like the designs for both the Kaiju and the Jaegers from Pacific Rim. I wish that NECA didn't take a step or two back in the articulation department with these figures, at least the first wave. I hope that the 18" Gipsy Danger and Knifehead have more articulation ability than their normal 7" counterparts.

I have all 6 figures released so far (With the next batch preordered) And as display statuettes they work great! As action figures... not so much I think Leatherback is my favourite so far, he`s just so huge! Almost twice the size of the other figures. Also I heard that these 7" NECA figures are supposedly in scale with the SHMonsterarts Godzilla figures which is interesting. Though I'm conflicted about Gypsy being head and shoulders taller than Godzilla himself.

I'm a huge Neca fan and prefer sculpt over articulation (That's why i collect dc direct Arkham figures) and while neca has sorted out articulation with the Predator and Alien/Marines, Pacific Rim does feel a little left behind . Now with the upcoming release of the new larger scaled KnifeHead figure with better sculpt/articulation and axehead Kaiju who both will be the same size as leatherback if not taller is a huge deal to me for this movie collection and with coyote tango and Cherno Alpha coming , i only hope they sell and we get the final Kaiju characters later on.

I recently got the 18 inch Gipsy Danger and the Gipsy/ Knifehead 2 pack. Great figures, but I try not to fiddle with them much.
Cherno Alpha and Coyote Tango are due this month right? I have the preorders waiting for them and I really need to find a way to get my hands on Crimson Typhoon and Striker Eureka.

NECA.
Take a look at the next Pacific Rim Kaiju deluxe action figure - Scunner!
Scunner is the largest of the Category IV Kaiju. Its appearance and behavior are akin to that of a bull. Broad and stocky, the two curved horns jutting out of its head act as battering rams against armored opponents like the Jaegers.
Coming this summer!

SDCC 2014
Take a look at the new Pacific Rim 7″ Kaiju Axehead Ultra Deluxe Action Figure!
#Axehead was originally a concept model for #Trespasser, the first #Kaiju to emerge from the breach. This massive, fully articulated figure has a newly sculpted head and all new deco and detail. Coming October 2014!

I got Scunner today, and it is massive. It's a really nice looking monster, and again, very large.

Excited for Gypsy 2.0 - I passed on the original 2 due to reports of bad joints/QC, but have all the other Jaegers so far, and all the Kaiju besides the smaller first wave Knifehead.
