As we have reached the final week of the month, we have a new batch of covers to share with you all, from the IDW Publishing Transformers comics due out in October 2018 - meaning that the end is actually here, we will have achieved something by then, the universe will have been eaten, and various other witticisms reminiscent of comics catchphrases will have been spoken.

Available on Previews World so far are the three major titles: Lost Light, Unicron, Optimus Prime, with their final issues each and one cover per book. We will update this story once IDW Publishing updates their folder with any additional material, so stay tuned!

THE STORY HAS NOW BEEN UPDATED WITH TPBs, Start Trek vs Transformers, and more covers.

AND BE WARNED: there may be spoilers in the solicitation texts below.

13 years of stories? #-o I thought it would be the ending to MTMTE/LL and RID/Unicron. Why bring up crap that happened in 2006? Is it even relevant? And forcing old stuff in this story would be confusing.

Feels more like they are just saying this is the actual end to what started this universe 13 years ago. Plus, given how both Barber and Roberts love to the up loose ends and mistakes in the past by retcons or new story elements, it's also possible Roberts could be fixing some things from the past.

Not very much, mostly teasing. I'd presumed it was referring to the events of the Wrath of Karza miniseries at this point, but perhaps not. There's a lot left unresolved in the wider Micronauts story, like Oziron's fate and why the hell Micronus Prime abandoned Prion to create that universe in the first place!

I think we're past most continuity patching at this point, but there are relevant details from books like Spotlight: Wheelie still to be made clear that only just resurfaced in Unicron #1. And that whole Regenesis idea of Shockwave's has been proven to be quite significant time and again, forming a contextual backdrop for much of the Unicron story.

So I just noticed that on the cover of Lost Light 'Achieved' is misspelled. Unless it's some sort of inside joke? Also, I like the fact that if we don't count the 2 issues included in Titans Return, the Lost Light crew's story is 80 issues long, just like US G1. :-D
