Curious, why do you think that?

The somewhat sloppy gold paint on his waist.
The metal flake paint on the clear plastic (why do they not learn :BANG_HEAD: ), it clashes with the rest of the figure. Should've been a flat black.

1. Why would these make you think it was a prototype? A prototype would more likely be all-painted.
2a. That's almost surely not metal flake paint, it doesn't catch the light right for that. It's more likely regular paint showing op oddly because of the light shining into the clear plastic. Also, this is a Hasbro-led toy not a Takara exclusive. :P
2b. No, it should not be flat black. Flat black would look hideously dull next to the shiny black plastic.

Well, a Twitter user named Gherkin caught a glimpse of a factory sample number on the hood/bumper.

And I just realized that what I initially saw as sloppy gold paint on the waist is actually a 2nd factory sample number.

Looks good. I look forward to getting Ricochet and others in this Generationd Sepect line. Hope to see about this new line on TFWiki super-super soon. I hope they won’t cost anywhere near $40 I try to budget myself.

I'll use Blue Swoop as Cartoon "Me Swoop" Swoop and Red Swoop as Marvel "Divebomb --> Swoop --> The Veteran" Swoop.

Hope the white patches above the tires/shoulders get made black for the final version of ricochet but I'll be pre-ordering it tomorrow in all likelyhood. Skipping the Swoop with having the blue version.

It wouldn't cost too much to buy a few spare Battle Masters to customize into Nightstick AND Nebulon. I'm already stocking up on extras whenever I can find a sale.

And I'm glad someone mentioned how easy it is to dye white plastic black for Jazz-hands. That'll be a lot easier then the project for which I've already bought 2 extra PotP Jazzez: Prime Wars Backstreet! That, more than Stepper, is the character this mold was made for IMO, because his alt's model of Porsche looks way more like Backstreet's than the Martini, and we need him to finish out the TAV Triggerbots. Just come up with a weapon configuration for Override, and any scramble gestalt could get an emergency trigger-arm upgrade to counter Thunder Mayhem!

But it looks like I'll still have to dye and paint a Jazz myself...and find a gun mold on Shapeways that looks like Backstreet's TFU model cannons. Any suggestions?

My hopes for this line:
* Combiner-limb Sideswipe from the CW Breakdown mold (To complete the homage to "Masquerade")
* Combiner-limb Windcharger from either the same, the Wheeljack variant, or the Dead End mold (Again, to complete the homage to "Masquerade")
* Scorn (retooled from Grimlock)
* G2-colors Shuttle Blastoff to correct Combiner Wars G2 Bruticus
* G2 Defensor to round out the Combiner Wars G2 stuff
* Amalgamous Prime with Waverider Decoy Armor
* Regular releases of the other relegated Prime Masters, again with Decoy Armor ideally

I’m all for CW Sideswipe and Windcharger.

For me:

* Bring in UW Ratchet as CW Ratchet.
* CW Ultra Magnus & TR Powermaster Optimus Prime as TR Ultra Magnus or TR Delta Magnus
* TR Laser Optimus Prime as TR Laser Ultra Magnus
* Instead of a G2 CW Defensor, do a CW Guard City
* TR Skyshadow to TR Omega Supreme
* Make a CW Thundercracker and CW Skywarp - or PotP Thundercracker and PotP Skywarp

This is basically new Collector Club...

The fact that we are basically getting an updated/rebooted version of the Collector's Club is amazing. I wasn't into collecting as I am now, so I missed out on many things from the Club, (besides the exclusive Timelines Transmutate figure) and by the time I finally got deep into collecting, the Collectors Club was ending the exact same year.

Of course, this isn't exactly like the Club, as this is based entirely on the figures instead of the other benefits the club gave you, such as the magazines and a few other things, but it's still one of the best things that could currently happen to this brand as of now, as we can get so many amazing figures in the future, even ones unreleased like Artic Megs.

I legitimatly hope :HASBRO: keeps this line running congruently with standard Generations for years to come.

Rysquad...
1. Guard City would more likely be a Unite Warriors EX set if he happened at all.
2. Combiner Wars Thundercracker and Skywarp already happened. They were Leader-class toys.
3. Why would you try to make TR Powermaster Optimus into Ultra or Delta Magnus? He's all wrong for it. Also, we're getting a brand new Leader Mags in SIEGE.
3. This isn't the Legends line, so turning Sky Shadow into Omega Supreme is so not happening (it would take a lot more than a new mug and helmet) and I don't think it would be remotely worth even attempting. I guess maybe they might go as far as turning CW Mags into a Titan Master-headed version but I don't think it particularly likely.

Bumblevivisector I'm pretty sure the PotP Jazz mold was in fact made for Jazz owing to the Jazz feet, hood chest, etc :P The reason for his Porsche 962-esque altmode (as an aside I don't know if Martini raced a 962 specifically but they did have similarly-styled Porsches and Lancias) is I think because it ends up rather similar to Braver's Ferrari F40:
Image

Here are some more hopes of mine:
* Cliffjumper from TR Bumblebee
* Goldbug from TR Bumblebee
* "Roadburn" in Freeway's colors
* Chase with the right head
* Searchlight from that mold
* The Fallen from CW Megatron

True.

For me, I have him in my list simply for better availability.

I mean - Hasbro had a Generations Liokaiser though.

That’s a duh on my part. Should have clarified Deluxe - Combiner Limbs.

I just selfishly want a TR Ultra Magnus. I’d go for a Siege Delta Magnus. And a Siege Shining Ultra Magnus would be hilarious.

Pre-ordered both on BBTS.com I want that Swoop because I want my Volcanicus to be all red and so forth. Ricochet.. well I echo the sentiments of other posters before. Great mold for him, not so for Jazz. Glad to be getting these guys. I'm sure I have a spare Targetmaster around for him...

We're getting Titan Omega Supreme in Transformers: Siege. Why would Hasbro waste their time with making a Leader Omega Supreme retool at this point?

I mean - Hasbro had a Generations Liokaiser though.

Liokaiser is one of the main Decepticons from when Japanese G1 was still going strong and heavily featured in one of the Japanese shows. Guard City and Battle Gaia are obscure tail-end redecoes from the last year of the Japanese G1 toyline when it had run completely out of steam.

I would have waited for red Swoop of I'd know it was coming, but the lack of gold paint under the clear plastic bothers me. It's a cool effect and without it he won't match the rest of the team as well. Maybe a beak transplant is in call for?

I was super excited for both of these. I've always loved stepper and while I like blue Swoop, red Swoop fits better with the team aesthetically (ironic that red Slag would fit less aesthetically?)

Two thoughts though:

1. Swoop looks like he's made of grey plastic, not silver like the other dinos.

2. If Ztepper has no targetmaster (which at that price seems a certainty), Siege Firebolt is a good stand in.

Chiming in on the notion that this is what Hasbro has settled on in the absence of TFCC. It does feel like they are finally figuring out how to fill that gap properly. The May Mayhem was a good start. The PotP Amazon run was a good direction too, but this feels like it could be where these collectory ideas stay. It has a nice broad scope that they could throw anything into, and it makes sense. AND it's more affordable than the club!

I was also thinking this feels like Universe. So Club and Universe all wrapped up into one tidy package. I'm looking forward to seeing how this line progresses.

So, now that we're getting a successor to TFCC, there are now a possibility that a few old concepts could finally get seen through.

One of them being that of Transformers: Unanimated. The idea being that Animated versions of characters get toys made of them in the Generations line. I believe it was planned by TFCC but was abandoned. Now with this line, they could brind the concept back.

Image The Starscream image was a fan-made digibash, but the Sari image is offical concept art.

This line could be used for so many great things.

It could be the fact that even with Riccochet, I am still 4 Autobot Deluxes away from perfect Symmetry, but you do make a compelling reason now for me to Obtain a Red Swoop, where previously there was none. :-?
