For anyone that hasn't noticed on eBay the figure is as pricey as Cosmos. In fact some mental seller wants over $400 for the figure! 8-} :VEHI:

I found mine in Target months back.

Really? And if what Emerje said is a fact on the count per box that hits shelves I may try to hunt for a great deal unless another wave of Tarn figures is released....then quickly sell out of course. 8-} :VEHI:

I got mine in store and have seen him a few times. He's not sticking around, but it's not unheard of to see him.

I've never seen Tarn in stores, ever.

I've seen Tarn twice a while ago, before Amazon pre-orders started shipping. The first time I bought him and cancelled my pre-order and the second time was about a week later. Both times at Target, but 2 different stores.

I have not seen Tarn in stores, but I have seen Lio Convoy at least 4 times, so Tarn was there, and was promptly bought out before I got there

I saw one Tarn and one Leo Prime once in Target.
And that was the only time I've seen Tarn.
Originally he was one I was willing to wait to get if/when he went on a sale.
Really glad I bought him.
Even though I still think Jhiaxus is a better figure overall, Tarn is a welcomed, fresh and unexpected addition to the collection.

Same. I've seen plenty of all the voyagers at Target. Though strangely I've seen Armada Starscream and BW Inferno AFTER the first two waves of Legacy Evolution. But while Tarn and Twincast being shrtpacked sell quicker, even when Ive seen some stores with 4 Leo's or 4 Metalhawks. They are moving and not shelf warming.

My Orion Pax and Senator Shockwave set should be delivered today. I hope it actually is the right set this time! I’ll let you all know either way.

Update! Yes, I got the right set this time. :)

Got a cheap Armada Starsacream during Prime Day, and I'm of 2 minds about it.

While it does do some things better than the original, I can't help but miss the original's size, heft and gimmicks.

The Jet mode is good, If a bit odd to get the legs in position, at least they hold up correctly.

The original had a bad tendency of not allowing the legs to clip on to the underside of the plane, so they'd just dangle below it.

Surprisingly enough I don't miss the sounds. They got annoying really fast, but I would have liked at least a couple of missiles to plug into the shoulder cannons.

The folding cannons are great improvement.

The Wing Sword never worked well in my copy, it was super floppy, so I appreciate the solid one this one has. The tiny Star Saber on the other hand is just silly. I think it goes better with Hot Shot. Which is not half bad all things considered.

Weirdly I have a stress mark on Starscrem's right foot.

Picked up Bulkhead for 15 bucks too, but have not yet opened him.

Amazon has charged me for The Nemesis, so I imagine it will be shipping soon.

Since we are/were doing figure sighting bingo again, I guess I'll throw in what I've seen of Evolution thus far.
Target: Core Waves 1-3, Animated Prowl, Crosscut, Leo Prime, Metalhawk, Twincast, Blitzwing, Armada Megatron (supplemented by last year's Deluxe Wave 3, Voyager Wave 3, and Galvatron)
Walmart: Crosscut, Metalhawk (supplemented by last year's Core Wave 1, Deluxe Wave 3, Jhiaxus, Galvatron, and Blitzwing)
Gamestop: Scarr, Beachcomber, Blitzwing
Local comic store: Slug, Bomb-Burst, Grimlock, Scraphook, Needlenose, Armada Hot Shot, Deluxe Wave 2, Axlegrease, Voyager Wave 2, Nemesis Leo, Prime Skyquake (supplemented by last year's Deluxe Wave 2, Crankcase, Skullgrin, Pointblank, Voyager Wave 3, and Blitzwing)

So far I've bought Metalhawk at Walmart (and Dead End because I never saw him last year), the comic store provided me with Needlenose and Shrapnel, and then I got Bomb-Burst, Scarr, Crashbar, Animated Prowl, Leo Prime, Tarn, Twincast, and Prime Skyquake all online because either they were available online before they were at brick-and-mortar, I never saw them at brick-and-mortar (Tarn), or it was cheaper to get them online than it was at the comic store. Everything else I'm planning to get this year either isn't out yet (all of Wave 4 sans Snarl, exclusives) and/or I'm intending to get on sale if possible (Nemesis).

My Pulse packages finally arrived, including my Copy Convoy, Armada Megatron, and Armada Optimus Prime.

Full disclosure on Copy Convoy: i was not going to get him, because I do not like the Legacy Lio Convoy mold. But with the colors and some pictures a buddy took, I decided to get him anyways. He's not bad. I like lion mode, and the colors are very nice. It's just the robot mode that I do not like. So he will likely remain in beast mode.

Armada Megatron is interesting. I was excited for him, and I do like him, but I feel the whole "he's too vanilla" thing. He needed the blade in the left arm, the face plate for alt mode to slide instead of flip, and I feel like he needed some of his compartments jointed. He's just a bit too bland really. i like him, don't get me wrong, but this may be the first case where i miss the gimmicks compared to the articulation. Which, I hate that he has Legacy Laser Prime shoulders. Bah.

Armada Optimus Prime, however, obliterates everything in Legacy this year. This isn't just figure of the year; this is the figure of Legacy so far. He is incredible. The alt mode is chunky, strong, and just looks mean. Robot mode is really nice, and very posable. And the super mode is perfect. He puts Motormaster/Menasor to shame in every capacity. He's well painted, beautiful colors, and so so playable. He is amazing, plain and simple. And he is purposely compatible with the old overload toy, which adds to the fun.

I'd love to try the overload combination with my Armada Prime when it comes, but I just can't bring myself to bust out a 20 year old toy.

I finally decided to open and fiddle with my Nemesis.

First and foremost, something that is never shown in any reviews. When you open the box, you notice right away that the thing must obviously be assembled.

Image

These tiny planes are as small as a 10 cents coin. Luckily, they peg in solidly.

Image

Assembling everything is just a matter of minutes and is easily done. The ship is huge and magnificent.

Image

Image

The transformation isn't harder than the Ark. Once again, you'll have to deal with 2 panels that pop off too easily. There's even stress marks on it.

Image

The bot mode is imposing and is decently articulated. She's pretty bad-ass looking. I know her face is supposed to be a :CON: , but that's not the face of a fembot. Especially not whit that small chin beard. I mean, come on now.

Image

Despite the face mishaps, I fin her adorable with her sailgun and her little cheerleader flag.

Image

She pair perfectly well with the Ark.

Image

Overall, she's well worth it. And surprisingly, with minimum hollows. Appart for the obvious articulated hands, I wonder what a D.N.A. de sign upgrade kit would offer to improves her? A new face? A big-ass flight stand? :-?

TlDr; get Nemesis. She's awesome.

Considering all the lilac accents on the upper body and arms. The lack of any details at all on the legs/shins, looks really off.

Do you mean the Nemesis?
Oh, it will be on sale sooner or later. Just wait.

It's just that for me, I wanted it ASAP and my local geek store will give store credits for used Transformers. The store credit is good at around 50% of the value, PLUS TAXES. I didn't paid any cash and I got rid of some fluff while getting Nemesis early. I got so many things from that store in this way!

Mine was supposed to ship Friday and arrive Monday, but instead it shipped Sunday afternoon and now due Tuesday. At least the price came down by $10 since my order so I saved some more that way.

The ark too required some assembly. But the Nemesis have a few more parts to assemble. Plus, the guns and ships on a sprue tickled my hobbyist bone. :-B

Ah, it's fine. I'd had a bad night and was salty about something unrelated and it spilled out here a little.
