I'm good with that. The pretender gimmick always seemed pointless to me.

That would also mean that the individual Pretender Monster bots won't resemble anything, though the combined Monstructor form won't be too far off.

To be fair, the originals weren't exactly accurate depictions of anything either.

Chiming in for something to consider for the possible box sets: extra accessories. Grimlock and Snarl have "I"-shaped ports on the bottom of their hips, which seemingly serve no purpose. Maybe for an omitted foot?

As for Monstructor, comparing the Core Dinobots with the G1 Monster Pretenders... It is possible, but some members need more retooling than others. Sludge, Swoop and Scarr into Birdbrain, Wildfly and Bristleback are somewhat easy with a simple dino head and arm/legs swaps, but Grimlock, Snarl and Slug into Icepick, Scowl and Slog requires some creativity.

Wanted to share an updated image of my wreckers, who have received a bunch of new members thanks to Legacy. And once she arrives, I'll need to decide if Strongarm goes here, or if the existing Strongarm here stays and the new Legacy one goes to the aligned shelf

My Dreadwing and Shadow Striker arrived today, I already liked the Skyquake mould but Dreadwing has a much nicer colour scheme. Shadow Striker looks a bit odd in both modes, and the tabs on the car's roof has a habit of popping out, but the transformation is fun and very creative compared to many other car bots. I don't hate her, but I can definitely see why others do.

Just a humorous observation... anyone else notice the stock photo of Trashmaster on Amazon.com occasionally shows a picture of Play-Doh  .

I don't care for the figure all around but I gotta give credit where its due. The engineering for Bludgeon was well crafted for this line and I will tell you why. Any figure that has a long blade or sword should definitely have the ability to wield that weapon as in the pic and that IMO is epic! Simply just holding the damn thing in one hand or the other just simply isn't right.

This clearly can be done, no excuses so here it is give it up!!! :APPLAUSE: :VEHI:

I actually kinda like that figure. Not sure if I'll get it, but I do like it.

At first, I found the Armada leaders (as in, chief of their factions) a bit underwhelming because I already had them. So I wondered why I spent so much money to get the updated versions.

Then I did this. No balancing act required. I did it pretty much in one go.

Image

I then finally remembered why I bought them. 8-)

Sadly, Amazon has pushed back delivery of Armada Prime to September, and I haven't even seen Megatron anywhere.

Just watched Emgo’s review for Shadow Striker, and if that’s not a disappointment.
Not sure how Sideburn is gonna fair any better.

putting this here seeing as how this encompasses 3 different Legacy sub-lines, but Legacy has been very good to me for my RiD2001 shelf. Tow-line did end up there after all.

Image

And speaking of wide ranging sublines, do we have any confirmation or leaks that suggest more Diaclone are coming? Reboost joined the squad up top to represent himself while the MP shelf is a bit busy with trainbots, but he still needs a generations release, and so does Riggorus. And of course we still have some others like Topspin and red Mirage.

I was having some sort of buyer remorse before I opened my Armada guys. But the more I play with them, the more I like them! They feel like actual Armada toys in hand.

Here's a comparison picture between the OG Armada Megs and the newer Legacy one while I'm at it:

I don't think this warrant a news feature, but have a video review of that Pulse Exclusive Transformers Legacy Evolution Optimus Prime & Bumblebee core class 2 pack:

EDIT:
As I post this, I notice that it's already been news'd elsewhere. Oh well.

Good, now we have a full set of Decepticon double Targetmasters that aren't Headmasters or Combiners, shame their partners wont match.

Tra Gen Legacy UNI Voyager Animated Motormaster
Product Number: F8547

Obvious Optimus repaint that eliminates any chance of the G1 versions being retooled into them.

Tra Gen Legacy Star Seekers Deluxe Roadpig
Product Number: G0232

Prowl repaint?

Tra Gen Legacy Star Seekers Deluxe Lockdown
Product Number: G0233

The Axelgreese retool that the design team didn't want to talk about.

Tra Gen Legacy Star Seekers Deluxe Filch
Product Number: G0234

Studio Series Airazor retool most likely.

Tra Gen legacy Star Seekers Voyager Ferak
Product Number: G0235

Cyclonus repaint. As the only Voyager giving them freedom to do whatever they want with the price point they should give him Tornado, but I bet they wont.

Tra Gen Legacy Star Seekers Leader Thundertron
Product Number: G0236

Isn't Thundertron reported to be a new mold? I guess he's a Leo Prime retool now, but as a Leader? Wait and see I guess. Yeah, I know, we had Cosmos and Override, but this guy isn't them. That'll be a big cat unless they decide to scrap the lion mode all together.

I'm guessing the two unnamed Deluxes will be Cannonball (Crankcase repaint?) and Maybe Axer which would be kinda funny since he's shared tools with both Roadpig and Lockdown.

Ferak gets me another spot on the Twincast Podcast Bingo sheet. :-D

New Round of Possible Figures for Legacy 2024 Leaked

Thanks to another list from jtprime17 brought to us by Seibertronian Munkky on our forums we have a new batch of possible leaked figures for the Legacy line in 2024.

Munkky wrote:More 2024 Legacy leaks have dropped, courtesy of JtPrime17:

Product Number: F8536

Tra Gen Legacy UNI Voyager Animated Motormaster
Product Number: F8547

Tra Gen Legacy UNI Voyager Metalhawk PR
Product Number: F9183

Many, if not all, of these will likely share tooling with existing or previously leaked figures like RID Sideburn from Shadow Striker and Animed Motormaster from Animated Optimus Prime.

I think Thundertron is going to be a retool of Tigerhawk, and I will get it if it is.

I'm excited for slipstream and interested in the core rock bot
The rest not so much

I'll potentially be a huge sucker for the star Seekers capsule though. I'll be extremely sad if I don't find thundertron

Outside of the Star Seeker capsule, the only figure in this line-up I'm definitely getting is Side Burn, possibly Slipstream too if she looks decent. I'm surprised by the Metalhawk package refresh, has it been a popular toy? Also, was there ever a credible leak of a Ramjet package refresh, or was that just speculation?

Interesting to think that the selection for Animated was a character that didn't actually make it into the show? There are some really interesting character designs in the Allspark Almanacs that I'd love to see in figure form.

All because he's an easy head-swap redeco option for the Animated Optimus that's coming before him

Oh, I see. Still that would be really cool if the Legacy line did showcase other characters that never made it beyond concept art.

Only if they weren't G1-ified like all Legacy Animated characters are expected to be.

That's true. I know a lot of people that weren't happy with the Animated figures represented so far. Motormaster does seem more "Animated" than prior ones. That's the problem with stylised aesthetics, I guess. The "easy" option is to base all the figures on a generic template. Motormaster did build my hopes up though. Especially as the Almanacs are So expensive now.
