Via the United States Patent and Trademark Office website, we have news of Hasbro applying for a new logo for their Transformers toylines, though we have no further details as to what part of the brand this will apply to. The logo, not an entirely new one, is half Autobot and half Decepticon, split vertically down the middle, black on white background. Check out more details and the image below!

FYI ... those are the movie badges, not that Hasbro and Takara haven't mixed them up with the original versions of the symbols, but just something to note.

Does this mean I may be able to finally get my avatar on a zip-up hodie? Not only that, but the possibility of having "Autocon" being an official faction!? I finally belong!

Its probably for box art and promotional images, highly doubt its a new faction or sub group. They probably just finally realized that its stupid to only use one faction symbol in titles and box art, like how RiD has an autobot symbol on the box even when they are cons or AoE had the con emblem even when they were bots. Now this way it doesnt matter cause both sides are represented. Now that i think of it maybe its a sub line of the toys, the bots & cons team up to fight the quintessons and this is the subline insignia. Im leaning more towards box art but that could be a possibility.
