How do you do the tiny details? They look great.

They won't just throw out a finalized design as long as Studio Series is on the table, Hatchet will crop up at some point. It's very interesting to see Sam say he wants to do Devcon, that's a guy I thought we'd never see. I mean, they might still not do it, but if one of the designers is interested, then there's a chance at the very least.

Thank you! I have a very fine tip paint brush I use for small detail work like that!

Devcon has been surprisingly popular among the community, he actually won our first Studio Series September event!

A large part of it is probably due to his design being based on the Cloverfield monster.

Despite my issues with the live-action films one of the figures I am most looking forward to in the Studio Series line this year is the Concept Megatron figure and the Shockwave figure coming after too. I went ahead and went back to scoop up both Soundwave and Starscream, I already had the Ravage figure. Needless to say, I am looking forward to BB Concept Megatron and I haven't anticipated owning a figure this much since CW Leader Megatron.

Another man of Culture I see. I too, love that CW leader Megs a lot. I even gave him the Reprolabels and a canon extension.

Bee Mega, I loo forward too, despite my criticism in having two "incomplete" vehicle modes instead of focusing on a single great one. Regardless, early birds have improvised some nice fan-transformations for him and I plan having fun this way too with it.

While I have no interest in this, I figured I’d share some photos of Concept Art Sunstreaker.

That's a Bee Movie bot?

If yes, it looks amazing!

That's a fantastic-looking car mode. If the transformation is good and everything comes together well it'll be a figure of the year contender.

Can't comment on this too much since I don't collect BB Cybertron stuff, but he doesn't really seem to match the aesthetic of the other BB Cybertron bots.

First Look at New Transformers Sunstreaker Toy

We thank Sowndwave76 for letting us know of new images showing us a first look at an upcoming Transformers Sunstreaker toy. While it has not been confirmed, we had listings of a Movie 6 Sunstreaker which would make this a concept art figure, similar to the leader Megatron toy we are also getting in Studio Series. There's a few images of the toy below in both his modes along with his weapon accessory.

Let us know if you think this is a worthwhile toy to add to your collection.

I feel like whatever slot this (alleged) concept art figure is taking should have been a refresh of a different Sunstreaker and the development budget spent elsewhere.

But at least this Sunstreaker isn't fugly like that hideous Megatron. That Megatron looks like something that was initially made to the aesthetic... then smashed with a hammer and roughly glued back together.

I like the tron vibes on that alt mode, though I wish the photographer would move their fingers lol

I have the bee movie Brawn and hftd seaspray, might as well have this version as my sunstreaker instead of going for a 5 pack that has 4 figures I don't really need

Those forearm panels look very annoying though

Well, I don't agree for the bot mode, but I do agree that forcing him to be a triple-changer made his altmodes being too compromised. They should have just focused on the tank mode.

The 3P Megatank stay the best IMO, but he's grossly oversized to fit anywhere.

I'm... not sure on that. Robot mode looks more like G1 Sureshot, and while the alt mode is cool looking, I don't think it particularly screams Sunstreaker, especially in those colors, he feels too bright.

Yrah, he looks like a lost Classics mold.

Alt mode is kinda neat. Robot mode ok. Head is super ugly. Sunstreaker himself would not approve of this

I was thinking similar, but lost cyberverse mold instead.

Which means, basically, he looks even MORE pure G1 than the other Cybertron Bumblebee Movie designs, which is saying something...

At this point it feels more like they're making anything a concept design just so they could keep making up Beewunified designs because they still don't want to do Twins.

The supply of Bayformers is limited so they take their sweet time to release them over the years. That's why they are even adding concepts bots that never appeared in the movies.

Also, I have a suspicion the fact that the ROTF and DOTM Twins were shelfwarming hard. Furthermore the "racism controversy" give :HASBRO: cold feet to remake them in SS.

We actually have a pretty big list of remaining Bayverse figures, enough to keep the line going for probably a couple years entirely by itself.

Just a couple notes on the list we made for BacktoBaysics, while we did get exclusive rereleases of the original figures for High Octane Bee, TLK Bee, and TLk Drift, Sam Smith noted that these releases were not considered definitive Studio Series releases which is further evidenced by the recently vanished listing for a new SS TLK Drift.

It’s also missing a few guys like Lieutenant that I’ll have to add on the next version
