I really wish they weren't doing this during Christmas. Those colors will almost win me over but other purchases are going to take precedent if they end up delivering g next month

This thing will likely take years to deliver, just like Unicron and Victory Saber did.

Funny you mentioned that as the news with the website in Mexico for pre orders had a February 2023 Delivery date. They probably meant February 2024. ( Or Spring 2024 which is the date I figured Pulse would state)

But Pulse themselves is setting a pretty tight deadline, possibly the quickest turn time on any Haslab.

Unicron was about 18 months to deliver IIRC. VS will be about 14 months when it's all said and done.

Pulse shooting for "Fall 2023" with Deathsaurus gives it only about 11 months at most to deliver. Of course if this was originally planned as a CC for a Generations line, them some of the R&D prep work could have already been done.

I'm sure they work out all the details long before the campaign goes live. I'm guessing they went full on HasLab mode in designing this as soon as they saw the Victory Leo numbers so that still makes for a 2 year turnaround which seems to be the norm these days for Transformers.

Don't forget that it's your only chance to get it at the normal price.

Looks like another online order must have come in. It was approaching 9400 this morning. Now past 10,200 this afternoon. A bump of 800 and now Less than 800 to go. ;)^

Even though I have backed this, I am disappointed at the lack of sharp edges on this.

This is meant for adult collectors and not children.

Speak for yourself. I just cut my hand opening a microwave-pizza box the other day. I don't need my own toys piercing my skin too.

Is this Haslab any "less sharp" than the original Victory toy from 1989?

In any event, I guess there will be a special Pulse Livestream next Tuesday Nov 29th. They will show off the actual colored sample of Deathsaurus. This is impeccable timing if ( as predicted) another jump of pre orders will occur next Monday, and the funding goal will have been met. They will also probably announce that VS is shipping ( since the cut off date for address verification is the 28th)

When people get hurt, especially parents with children, they'd much rather make money with a lawsuit than admitting their own guilt. That's any company's main concern. I mean "Contents may be hot" on a cup of coffee has got to be the ultimate example of that. >:oP

To be fair, that case with the woman and her scalding McDonald's coffee cup was legit. That coffee was a zillion Kelvin hot and she suffered 3rd degree burns on her legs.

This doesn't dismiss the cases when stupid people and opportunists are involved, obviously.

Just a bit more that 500 backers needed to get things started. 19 days to go. Deathy will be backed, that's a no brainer.

Now, will it reach the 17K needed to unlock everything? If :HASBRO: wouldn't had "nerfed" their shipping policy, that number would have been more easily attained.

Tier 1 I'd say is almost a certainty with TT Mall orders not being added until about a week left in the campaign, those should be good for at least 2K. But yeah Tier 2 is not a guarantee at this point.

Early this morning DS was about 225 away from.its funding Goal. The Monday Bump has been added however, so it blew past the goal, and is sitting just short of 12,300 ( well on our way to Tier 1). The bump added just about 1500 to the total. As opposed to the bumps of the last 2 weeks (2000 on 11/14, and 800 on 11/21).

Next Monday 12/5 hopefully TT Mall totals will be added. If the first tier can be reached before then,TT Mal orders alone should push us past the 2nd tier, I hope.

Funded! Wooo!

Personally, there's nothing at the highest tier that appeals to me, but here's hoping we get there nonetheless!

Haslab Transformers Updates: Shipping Date for Victory Saber and Deathsaurus has been Funded

Early this morning Deathsaurus was about 225 away from its funding goal of 11000. The Monday bump has been added however, so it blew past the goal, and is sitting just short of 12300 ( well on our way to Tier 1). The bump added just about 1500 to the total. There are still 14 days to go and it is assumed the Japan numbers have not been added yet, so the 17000 mark for all tiers is well within reach.

In other Haslab news, fellow Seibertronian bvzxa got a response from Hasbro when he asked to ship his Victrory Saber. He documented the response in this video below, where the shipping date is said to be December 5th from Pulse.

bvzxa wrote:Shipping date for the US is 12/05/22

If Hasbro ships VS on 12/5 most fans in the continental U.S. and Canada will probably receive them before the deadline. ( Not sure how Pulse works in Europe).

Unfortunately where I live in Northern CA. The shipping for FeDex ground from Pawtucket or Atlanta ( depending on where they ship from) takes anywhere between 7-10 days. So it's not a guarantee for me. But having VS in hand won't be a determining factor for me to back DS.

Very excited to see Deathsaurus has fully funded. And we are well on our way to the tiers. I'm confident we will get them. So stoked for the kaiju dude

So, I just watched the Pulse livestream. The fully colored render of Deathsaurus and the weapons/throne definitely look good. While they didn't confirm an exact date for shipping Victory Saber, they said "early December", which seems to correlate with the December 5th date, and again they emphasized "hoping most fans will have VS" (not a promise that all fans would have him by the time the Deathsaurus campaign ends).

Also, they confirmed the large jumps that occur on Mondays are a combination of orders from ALL international retailers, including :TAKARATOMY: . So while there wont be a "massive dump" towards the end as I and others expected, we can still expect pretty good jumps probably for the next 2 Mondays that the campaign is still going, hopefully enough to get us past the tiers.

Currently at just over 12,500 Tier 1 is a little less than 1,500 away! Tier 2 is 4,500 away 13 days, 12 hours, 40 minutes. Lets say GO!

Deathsaurus Haslab Painted Model Shown in Live Stream

PostPosted: Tue Nov 29, 2022 11:35 am
by william-james88
Hasbro had a short pulse livestream today to show fans the new painted model of Haslab Deathsarurus that they received. This being a painted model means that some of the painted areas will be in coloured plastic on the final model but it will be the same colour placement, be it plastic or paint. We also got confirmation that there will be vac metal on the finished figure in the chest area and the robot helmet.

Speaking of the chest area, the gimmick was shown where both animal partners can integrate into Deathsaurus' chest as well as what it looks like when none of them are attached. We also saw that there is a storage area for the mace (the mace itself is not yet funded). There were other fun tidbits as well. Evan made a comment regarding how freeing the design/engineering process was for Deathsaurus since none of the molding had to be shared with any other bot, which shows us how that's a big part of planning for mainline toys and accounts for the decisions made. We also got a confirmation that the backing numbers you see for Deathsaurus count ALL orders, so that means the Japan numbers as well. Another tidbit, while there will be another Haslab project after this one, it will likely not be a character from the Victory series. It was stated that the next Haslab project would be to coincide with the 40th anniversary to the Transformers line as a whole.

They're also already teasing the next HasLab figure. We already know it wont be Optimus from previous comments, but they also said it wont be gun Megatron and wont be another Victory character, but did imply that it might be another Japanese character (sounds like they're winning over the higher ups with these HasLab order numbers).

Looks like Victory Saber is taller than Deathsaurus now, does that solve some of the scale complaints?

No, he is just ever so slightly taller.
