I'm going to guess with the name "Amiral" (French for admiral) it's an Optimus figure, unless he has a toyetic superior in this movie. At that Canadian price I'm thinking something similar to an ROTB Beast Combiner that'll turn Orion Pax into Optimus Prime perhaps? Maybe there's other Primes in this line as well?

Is this the first confirmation we've had of movie 8? I know there was talk before RotB of a trilogy, but I don't recall hearing anything else about the next movie since it came out.

First Transformers One Toy Line Store Pre-Order Found on Amazon Canada

We're still many months away from the premiere of the 8th modern Transformers movie "One" currently aiming for a September 13 release, and we already have our first actual public online store listing (as opposed to one found by employees in store computers). Thanks Seibertronian -Kanrabat- for bringing to our attention in the Seibertron Energon Pub Forums a mystery pre-order on Amazon Canada for a figure code named "Tra Mv8 Prime Changers - Admiral". That doesn't really offer much of a clue as to what these figures are as we had a few "changers" in the Rise of the Beasts movie toy line. Also keep in mind this price is in Canadian dollars. Pretty good chance "Admiral" is a stand in for Optimus Prime, but there isn't always much logic to these code names. The release date is listed as August 1, 2024, but as with most release dates these days it is also likely a placeholder, but could also be a street date. Hopefully we'll be seeing many more listings soon!

Movie 8 is Transformers One, the prequel animated movie. There's been talks of a prequel since 2015, but the movie was first confirmed back in 2021.

Oh yeah, that makes sense. I was thinking that Transformers 8 meant the next movie in the live action series, but Transformers: One makes a lot more sense.

For a september release date this movie is very under the radar. No art, no teaser, no trailer.
Are they affraid it's going to be ass or extremely mid?
Rise of the Beasts was very average on all fronts and underperformed like a mofo, worst TF movie of the live actions I think. Personally it was a dissapointment, had some good things but overall a horribly average forgettable movie with just bad cg. Too much stuff and every idea stretched so thin it's only a 3 second mention and therefor one dimensional. Hopefully TF One will have a strong story, strong characters and great character design and animation. They have a chance with no humans, but please no stretched faces stuff, not again.

At this point, this isn't really all that surprising. The movie is still nine months away. Looking at some of the highest-grossing movies of this last year, initial teasers usually drop about 5-7 months before a movie's release.

For example:
-Barbie's first teaser came out in December 2022, seven months before the movie's release
-The Super Mario Bros. Movie had its first trailer in October 2022, six months before being released
- Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 had its first trailer in December 2022, five months before being released

Some can drop earlier, but its not uncommon to not have seen anything from the movie yet.

Ah good point.
I was expecting stuff 12 months before from a TF movie, especially with toy leaks and sometimes even having the toys already out.
Can't wait for the first trailer, I really want to know if it's going to be a good movie.

My problem with ROTB is very well worded in Filmento's youtube review, check it out to know why you have such an empty feeling after watching the movie.

Until we hear otherwise, TF: One is considered to be a prequel to the live-action films.

Interesting, I actually hadn't even considered that possibility. I had just assumed that it would be its own continuity, but a prequel to the live action series might make more sense. I'm interested to see what the character designs end up looking like for this.

'Twould be kinda hard to make a movie set entirely on Cybertron with no human actors in live action. ;)

One thing that I can guess is that this first toy may be a Generations style deluxe.
36$can is the price they selling their deluxes.

That might just be a coincidence, modern main line Deluxe class figures don't typically have subtitles like that. It's been a long time since the days of Mech Tech.

Well, the Super Bowl is in the middle of February, as is the Daytona 500, which is 7 months ahead of the release date, so I guess we'll get a TV spot teaser at least by then.

Transformers One Toyline will Continue the Tradition of Being Gimmick Heavy for Younger Audiences

Ever since the Bumblebee movie, Hasbro decided to have the main movie toylines target children with more gimmick driven toys, which remains their primary audience in general for the Transformers brand. It did mean that the toyline was gimmick heavy. That theme transferred over to the two animated toylines since and the Rise of the Beasts toyline (though there were deluxes and voyagers scattered there at times). With Transformers One being an animated film for kids, it should come as no surprise that Hasbro is continuing this 5 year trend. We now know some of the toy classes coming out for the Transformers One toyline.
Those include:

Prime Changers, Mega Changers, 2 in 1 Masks (making a return from ROTB), Cybertron Launchers, Power Flip, Race Changers, Race and Blast, Racing Bot Shots (intriguing), COG 1 Step, Battling Figures, Power Glow, Energon Reveal and others.

The full list of listings we have at the moment can be found below and all are coded. Also please note: in movie toylines, the codes are not hints, they mean nothing. They are deliberately random to keep discretion within the movie project. The listings came from JTPRime17.

Amazon has a pretty bad habit of using the wrong images sometimes and taking an excessively long time to correct them. All of the information matches a new figure and not Blaster so it should be fine.

Some gimmicky toys can be very, very good.
I'm looking forward to what this line will offer.

Transformers One Optimus Prime First Look

Hasbro and Paramount have been pretty good at keeping the bot designs for the upcoming Transformers One film a secret, revealing them to the world tomorrow. But we got at least this ONE leak before tomorrow’s trailer. It is a toy of Optimus Prime. We do know with certainty the line or size class but it dies give us our first good look at the design the film is going for.

Also, note that this is indeed Optimus Prime, Orion’s evolved look, which wont be how Orion looks like for most of the film.

Ah, the ol' guns-destined-to-be-stovepipes-on-Earth trick. Shades of The War Within design logic, well done.

So this wone will be a "warrior" class for sure.
Nice in both modes, but not alien enough.
