If we have to have a female "character" for Michael Bay's camera to leer at for a third of the film, Megan Fox is far from the worst person he could get for the role.

You can't be serious. Miko constantly caused trouble for no reason other than she has the IQ of a wet ball of yarn. Mikaela saved Sam from Frenzy, and carried Bumblebee into battle on a tow truck.

To be fair, in her latest appearance, she stole Starscream's Apex Armor and proceeded to kick him and his Vehicon Generals in the nuts super hard.

Halle-slaggin'-lujah!

After Rosie Huntington-Shitely, I'll take anything. The fact that we're (probably) having back Megan, who I thought was pretty damn good for an "eye candy" actress, is superb news. I know she's hardly Orson Welles, but there's something...convincing about her roles. To me, certainly in the first film, she seemed like a pretty college girl who knew a thing or two about cars, whereas Rosie just seemed really fake. I dunno, there seems to be an "honesty" to Fox's acting. She doesn't do exactly high-class acting, but she doesn't pretend to, and she does what she does well. She seems more of a real person.

Plus, there is no doubting she's pretty darn hawt.

Also, why the Shia hate? I thought he was one of the consistently good actors in the movies (aside from Peter Cullen and Hugo Weaving of course).

From a story line point of view having Megan fox's come back in the 4th movie wouldn't be too bad. You could use here to introduce the new human characters to the TF universe and maybe even explain were she went after the second movie. It could be a good opportunity to take a character we already know and give them a more prominent role.

And she hasn't been hired back at all. Transformers 4 has an entirely different human cast this go around. Heck the thread title was that she isn't coming back. :HEADHURTS:

So Bay has no problem with idiots calling him "Hitler"? I mean, apart from the obvious reasons to take offense, I can see why Spielberg could be insulted for him. Seriously, some people need to read a couple of Holocaust books and stop using Hitler's name idiotically. :-(

Hasn't been hired back at all? Even if that's true (and that's debatable), I was also referring to her role in TMNT. Bay doesn't seem to dislike her as much as the press would have you believe - I find the whole drama obnoxious and irrelevant. Except the part where a bimbo talks about Hitler to somehow be cool and make a point. Dumbass (the bimbo).

Yeah, I came from the news article link, so I'm reading "Megan Fox in Transformers 4?" Thanks for pointing that out! :APPLAUSE:

I love Miko. :x :x She's "annoying" if you hate anime. I don't see how such an anime archetype can be sooooo annoying to you guys - of course she exists to cause trouble; it's called a plot device! She's a central cog to many of the stories, which otherwise wouldn't move forward without becoming ridiculous. I.e. it's easier to watch a show with an impulsive girl getting bots into trouble than a show where trouble seems to randomly appear for the sake of having an action scene in an otherwise dull series of robot conversations.

Besides all of that, her impulsive character is written pretty well. You don't see her randomly break character for plot twists, and if you ask me, she sports a more developed personality than either Spyke or Sparkplug. :P

Well, thank you for confirming how some people actually LIKE his acting. I mean, to begin with, his movie character (Sam) is pretty pointless. He's like BB's pet human, and I swear his only role in the last movie was to CRY while BB was almost executed. I'm sorry, but IMO, he's easily replaceable by any other actress. It's not that he did a bad acting job, per se, but that his character is so boring and repulsive to me. He attempts to be an action star in the last movie and I think he pulls it off badly. I don't know how to describe it, but Shia just looks ridiculous on the screen - like a little kid pretending to be a tough guy the entire time -- it's cute for a while, but after an hour, you want to strangle that kid and his parents for giving THAT much confidence. :BOOM:

Dude, I just don't need grown "men" crying over impending robo-execution. The scene was seriously over-the-top, in the kind of comic-book-dorkiness you should be embarrassed to tell people about. Plus, like I said earlier, his irritating screams and pleas throughout the movies are MADDENING. :BANG_HEAD: This is an action movie, right? I understand Spyke calling for help (teenage kid, or young man), but Shia never struck me as a teenager - he just looks like a grown man who's constantly belching out orders and being otherwise useless.

"SHOOT HIM, BEE! SHOOT HIM SHOOT HIM SHOOT HIM!!!!" I think BB would have been doomed if not for Shia riding shotgun on that highway! BRAVO! :APPLAUSE:

I think Shia is unprofessional and lacks dedication to his craft as an actor and has very little acting range. With that in mind the character of Sam grew on me throughout the trilogy and by the halfway point of RotF I genuinely liked him. I think saying he was pointless or that it was stupid for him to have an emotional connection to his Autobot friends is a rather ignorant viewpoint to have especially with Transformer's habit of most human characters being nothing more than the Tag Along Kid. I think the fandom's dislike of human characters as a whole (a major problem with the fandom) causes them to dislike the character Sam on instinct rather than for any legitimate reason.

I liked Sam in the first movie, I just got sick of his childishness by the third film.

I only liked him in ROTF.
