I agree with Will that the legs are not that good, they are reused so already boring, but also they are too skinny for him, he does not have a muscular look to him, it just doesn't look that good, and the long legs can make posing the shorter arms and torso look weird.
I also don't like that the pylons are locked in place, articulation is limited that way. I also don't like how small the arms seem and feel, he just doesn't feel like he has strength behind him.
and that axe was definitely not needed. If anything, he needed a bigger and better sword, not an axe head attached to the bottom

The articulation isnt limited by the shoulder pylons. You cant move the front section forward when it gets in the way. He can t pose and reach back just fine. Gerwalk truck thanks to the earthrise legs. The axe is instead of his disks, I think they made the right choice. I'm also sure the sword is quite big enough.

He is spectacular. He is the best figure to come out of the entirety of WFC.

Blasphemy! Sky Lynx erasure! It says "Magnificence" right on the toy!

No amount of Magnificence can save him from the fact that he was not worthy of the Matrix!
D-Maximal_Primal wrote:The articulation actually is limited by the pylons. while you can move the shoulder front piece, you can still only raise his arm to parallel with the ground. With a character that gets a sword, they should be able to do a full arm in the air holding the sword pose. And he can't do that in a way that looks good.
Gerwalk modes should never come at the expense of actually looking good in the primary modes. And he would have have those if he had used new, better legs regardless.
Disks replaced with that axe is OK, but the sword and axe connection should have been better or they should have included a better spot to put the axe in the trailer if that were the case.

The gerwalk mode doesn't sacrifice anything. And the legs seem fine, what is wrong with them? Why do the sword and axe HAVE to connect well if at all. And the weapons store fin, the gun is exceptionally genious.

Hasbro probably see it as the genius of CAD that allows them to be more efficient.

Not going to argue that this is a smart business decision, but in this case, I really don't think those legs should have been reused. They do not fit the silhouette of this body

The legs are too long and too thin. The design of this mold originally had much bigger wheels on it, making his legs much bulkier. This one is just too thin, it does not look good to me. Same with the arms, both the arms and the legs are too lanky.
If the point of the energon weapons is to connect them, then the axe and sword should connect well. As is, they don't look like they go together, with part of the sword handle still sticking out despite the connection. It looks bad as a combined weapon.
I wasn't talking about alt mode storage, I was referring to there could have been some sort of port on the gun to make it look like it was launching the axe/disk, would have given it a better use.
I truly do believe this mold is a weaker design representation than the TR one, despite that one not having ankles or wrists. This one needed refined

The titan returns shoulder cannons did not have the opening gimmick. The shoulders also stuck out in a sharp, ugly way. The legs are hollow to expose the nosecone of a jet mode he does not need. The color scheme kills me inside, it is a terrible shade of grey. The head sculpt on the Legacy is also way cooler, even though it has no headmaster gimmick. And don forget the tr dropped the battle platform for a wimpy third jet mode. It is also an expensive, hard to find exclusive.

The opening shoulders is hardly a game winning gimmick in the grand scheme of things. The legs aren't really that hollow, considering how much is crammed into them. The color scheme really isn't that bad, though I agree it could have been improved on the exclusive version. I'd argue the TR head sculpt was better, especially since Legacy Laser Prime has basically no eyes. titan master gimmick and shoulder opening gimmick kind of offset each other.
Jet mode is actually cool, and I prefer that to the battle platform. I generally don't like battle platforms unless they can attach to the bot in robot mode. They take up space, and unless you are Rodimus Prime, they usually don't have a lot to them unless you go back 20 years. Rodimus and SS-44 DotM Optimus are the lone exceptions to the base rule for me, Rodimus for the strong, stable platform with big guns and Prime since part of the trailer becomes his jetpack and the other part stands up and forms a proper weapons platform that is movie accurate. There is almost nothing in the Legacy Laser Prime mold that makes that trailer truly worth it, though I concede it is much better than the ER trailer.
In a year, Scourge and Laser Prime will probably be as expensive as the retail, Chaos on Velocitron, and Takara Laser Primes and Scourge.
So in the grand scheme of things, even when you include price since that will soon be a moot point, I stand by the statement that TR did it better as an update.

I also didn't get Scourge, but it was because the splashes of pink he has. If he was teal, gray and black only, I probably would have gotten him.RodimusPrimeUkraine1 wrote:william-james88 wrote:I love my TR Scourge.

I have seen scourge on the shelf, easy skip
The colors do not suck, they just look bland. Dark. Boring. Meanwhile my Laser Prime has a better color palette. Maybe scourge is supposed to look bland and dark, but I do not like it. I thought the tr laser prime looked fine until I saw the OG and the Legacy and changed my mind. I would say more but I need to go.
