Looks like the next golden disk set is gonna have yet another wheeljack. Wackkkkkkk. Whackjack.
Im skipping Pipes and going for the set.
I'm hoping there is a Wheeljack in the golden sets so he can have the correct torso shapeI only picked up Netflix version because it was cheeeeap.
Aren't the silhouettes based off art and not the actual figure proportions though? I'm pretty sure the Sideswipes weren't perfect matches either.Razorbeast88 wrote:Sabrblade wrote:No wait. Ahhhhhhhhh I stand corrected. That makes much more sense!
Can't wait to see what tigatron looks like! Whatever chapter that may be
Ah. Back to whackjack it is, what a ride this has been hahaha

Plus, we already know the other Golden Disk figures are Terrorsaur, Jackpot, and some form of Tigatron, so unless one of them is a multipack that doesn't mention the other figure in the listing or Jackpot is for whatever reason a Wheeljack retool despite him matching the Jazz mold wayyy better, that should still just be a placeholder.
In fact, since we know those figures are coming, and the description is saying these sets have lore based on a timeline divergence at what we know as the beginning of Season 2 of BW, I'm gonna go ahead and make some risk-free predictions:
-Jackpot is the other one that comes through the vortex, and either is an Action Master that gains an altmode from this process or is being retconned into being an upgraded form of someone else like Puffer is
-Terrorsaur is in this because in this new timeline, he doesn't get knocked into the lava and killed off during the hit of the transwarp wave
-Tigatron is either going to be the prototype orange recolor retconned as an upgraded form for him, or he's going to be a Botcon-inspired Transmetal repaint of Pulsecon Ravage, hence why the listing has always been just Tigatron and not a separate character repaint
Also I just realized that this going up means that Hasbro has now technically officially revealed the Pipes mold via an exclusive repaint before they actually revealed the base mold or ANY OF THE REST of Kingdom's last 2 waves. Frickin Puffer got revealed before the currently-in-stores Waspinator and Shadow Panther.
EDIT: ....actually, wait, they call out the Golden Disk subline as being specifically 4 PACKS, they might all have multiple figures yet...
I know about retail Tigatron, but we've had separate listings for both retail Tigatron and a Golden Disk Tigatron for months now, hence why I'm speculating how the Golden Disk one is going to be different.Bounti76 wrote:Tigatron won't be a Golden Disk figure, unless it's a retool or a redeco. Orange Tigatron, not white Tigatron.Bounti76 wrote:Tigatron won't be a Golden Disk figure, unless it's a retool or a redeco. He's coming in Wave 4 Kingdom as a Voyager.

Why would they do Slicer if they're doing Shattered Glass Wheeljack next year? Barring the faction symbols and the names on the packaging, they're the same figure/deco.Wolfman Jake wrote:If we’re already getting Jackpot, meaning that Action Masters are on the table, and we’re getting a repaint and/or retool of Wheeljack, my bet is that we will see Slicer in one of these sets. I’d also not be surprised to see a repaint of Warpath as Treads.
...that doesn't really feel alternate-timeline enough to make sense here, how would they justify that being in here?Wolfman Jake wrote:Also, let’s not discount the possibility of a “screen accurate” redeco of Tigatron that ditches the tan fur highlights of the mass retail release.
Don't forget that SG Wheeljack is also rumored for the SG line, which would already be Slicer colored.Wolfman Jake wrote:If we’re already getting Jackpot, meaning that Action Masters are on the table, and we’re getting a repaint and/or retool of Wheeljack, my bet is that we will see Slicer in one of these sets.

Amazon and Pulse say there are 4 packs, and we had 4 listings (Terrorsaur, "Ranger/Puffer", Jackpot, & Tigatron) but this one was the only one to mention multiple figures in the listing, so if they are all multipacks then we only know at most half of each set's contents.o.supreme wrote:With ER I believe when the Galactic Odyssey sets were announced we knew there would be 5 (and some if not most of the contents). As did I, although the line-up we know of for these sounds way more solid to me that the GO sets were (considering half of those were either straight rereleases or new mold versions of characters I just bought in Siege).o.supreme wrote:Although I thought the GO sets were neat, I only ended up getting the the Botropolis one.
SG Huffer is Movie Armorhide colors.Gearslide wrote:Aren't Shattered Glass Pipes and Huffer colored like these fellas?
At least in the original Shattered Glass universe.

Bounti76 wrote:Thanks to several Seibertronians for sending in this news, we now have official confirmation and reveals of Kingdom Puffer and Road Ranger!
The description given with these two has some very interesting information. It says the Golden Disk has the power to reveal past, present, and future. In alternate timelines, the quantum surge that turned Beast Wars characters into Transmetals caught up Road Ranger from his timeline, specifically calling him out as a GoBot, and describes Pipes and Huffer being caught up in another wave of quantum energy and arriving on prehistoric Earth fused together as Puffer!
These two are coming in the first of four Golden Disk sets exclusive to Amazon, with the others yet to be revealed. This set can be preordered at Amazon now, but it's currently sold out on Hasbro Pulse, though it may be restocked at a later point, as Red Alert was.
What do you think of this set? Excited to get it? Going for more GoBots to show up in the Transformers line? Hoping for more highly obscure decos to show up as new toys? Let us know what you think by sounding off in the Energon Pub forums.

Actually, I think this reveal along with the packaging show us the other 3 may end up being single figures, or figures with extras. Look at the photo of the 4 packages making up the golden disc. This set is by far the largest box by area on the side they are using. I would expect the others to be single figures, but possibly with extras.
Ratchet was a Selects though, not part of the proper Shattered Glass line. Everyone in the SG line has had accurate color schemes down to Blurr's lightning tats, just on the mold of their G1 self, so I'd be surprised if Wheeljack was the one deviation from that.Wolfman Jake wrote:SG Ratchet’s colors are very different too from that 2-pack last year. Who’s to say that Hasbro’s SG Wheeljack will or won’t be identical to G1 Slicer?
I think they're gonna skip SG Tracks because of not only that, but also the fact that SG was basically just a panel-filler goon for Magnus that never did anything notable or memorable. Wheeljack, Blurr, Ratchet, etc. at least got to do stuff within their various appearances that would drive interest in new ones, Tracks seems a bit too unimportant to be considered for this (especially when compared to some of their other remaining options like Grimlock, Rodimus, & Sideswipe).Wolfman Jake wrote:Remember, we already have Kingdom Road Rage on the way soon. Will Hasbro skip SG Tracks altogether just because the colors have already been used or will they come up with something different?
It really comes down to which is more accurate, that picture (which could potentially be a placeholder like the Wheeljack pic) or the fact that all of the language in these set descriptions matches how they described the GO sets, which were all multiple figures.o.supreme wrote:TF-fan kev777 wrote:Actually, I think this reveal along with the packaging show us the other 3 may end up being single figures, or figures with extras. Unfortunately, looking at them altogether now I fear you may be correct. I've ordered many Selects, and the size of the deluxe box has been the same since the first 2 (Riccochet & red Swoop) in 2019. However with the Cenution Drone last year, and Tricranius this year, we see they can add a whole accessories pack, and still not change the size of the box. The box for deluxes could *technically* be smaller. I would not be surprised if we saw that change occur starting with any future Selects after WFC is done.
But the first box (bottom right) is defintely the biggest. The 2 on the left will be deluxes, and the one on top-right will be the Voyager. Oh well...so much for these all being multi-packs
As someone who also wants you to be right: why would the listing just call it Tigatron then?Emerje wrote:What if Tigatron is actually our missing Nightprowler? We know from the Amazon AU listing that at some point Nightprowler was meant to be paired with Sideswipe and the price was originally the same as the Mirage and Grimlock until they corrected it meaning it was priced for one Deluxe and one Voyager so it's possible that Nightprowler was meant to be a Voyager Tigatron repaint instead of Deluxe Cheetor. And honestly I'd rather have a new character than an old character in different colors any day. I'm probably wrong, it'll probably be orange, but I really want to be right this time.
