The NYC Comicon was nice enough to drop by here at Seibertron.com and share a friendly reminder of an expected, rare, appearance at the Convention by early MARVEL Transformers Comic guru Bob Budiansky. Here's what they had to share:
Hi everyone,
I just wanted to drop a quick note to remind you all that Bob Budiansky will be appearing this Saturday at the NYC Comicon. Although the show is three days, Bob will only be attending on Saturday.
Bob is known as the editor and writer of most of the early issues of the Marvel Transformers comics. (To a whole other group he is known as the artist on a well remembered run of the original Ghost Rider series.) Bob very rarely makes convention appearances.
Bob will be doing sketches (for a fee) and signing for free.
I work with Bob and am not directly affiliated with the show. However more information on the show can be found at:
http://www.nycomiccon.com/App/homepage. ... ame=100453
We look forward to seeing you there!
Jeff

If any of you Seibertronians plan to attend the event, please let us know what it was like. For more information on the event, click on the NY Comic Con link above.

After a
various number of
hints and even
Hasbro not refuting the rumours that they planned to make a Toy of Shane McCarthy's "Drift" Character from his Comic book series "All Hail Megatron", comes an indicator that Drift may not actually be receiving the toy treatment.
Thanks to a Q&A Session with Hasbro Australia, posted on the
OTCA Boards it seems that for now there has been no indication that a toy version of Drift is in the pipeline:
A comic book website last week with writer Shane McCarthy confirmed the upcoming 'Autobot Drift' toy. Will this be in the 25th line, and when is it likely to be released?
No, there is no character named Autobot Drift or any toy designed after the comic character coming out in our 25th Anniversary or any other Transformers line.
So not only does it appear that Drift will not be part of the 25th Anniversary line, as yet there are no plans for a Drift toy in any upcoming Transformers line. However this does not rule Drift out from getting the toy treatment in the future.

Stay tuned to
Seibertron.com for more information as it comes to hand.
UPDATE!
Thanks to our friend over at TFormers for letting us know that Chris Ryall, IDW Editor & Chief has stated that a Drift figure is still in the pipeline. He goes on to say that it may be as simple as branches outside of Hasbro US not being fully aware of future products are. (It has happened in the past).
To quote Mr. Ryall: "All indications are that it's still coming,"

The Universe of the Transformers is vast, and populated by many characters. Their universe is a large tapestry, made up of the stories and points of view of countless experiences that serve the larger whole.
These are some of those stories. This is:
It should be noted that while this project has been recognized by IDW Publishing and Hasbro, none of the works presented have been commissioned or solicited by either company. The stories are not official canon, except where noted. These stories are the result of Transformers enthusiasts taking the time out of their busy days to contribute to a universe they love. No one has been paid for the production of these stories.

RyallTime- Chris Ryall, IDW big wig, updates his blog with a line art for pages of Transformers All Hail Megatron Issue #10.
While Chris meant to share artwork from artist,
Emiliano Santalucia, he actually shared what many might consider a major, yet expected spoiler.
I am only going to show the page without the spoiler, but if you want to see the other page, you can click
