Universal Studios is opening a theme park in Beijing, China. The park is scheduled to be open in 2020. For now they are developing concept art for the rides and other attractions. Here you can see that they are developing a rollercoaster which is a 'transformed' version of The Hulk coaster from Islands of Adventure. In the second picture you can see not only a large statue of Optimus Prime but in the distance to the left you can see what appears to be the same coaster. Again this is concept art so things are bound to change as time goes on. We will keep you posted.

Also in some more San Diego Comic Con 2018 news, we have a short clip from the official Instagram account for Hasbro Transformers, featuring brand manager John 'Hasbro' Warden listing off the contents of the Thursday panel with the company - as previously reported in this story here.

The added piece of speculative news is that Warden is talking in front of a banner that seems to contain the War for Cybertron new logo and graphics, including a first line ending in -GE (as well as a -GY at the bottom, probably standing for 'trilogy'). Take a look below for yourselves, and speculate away in the Energon Pub as to what -ge ending word this first part of the new series might be: Siege? Rage? anything else entirely? Throne, not munkky! Out of left field entirely, a post on Chinese social media platform Baidu seems to reveal another end of line cap figure for Transformers Power of the Primes and Prime Wars trilogy overall - a version of Optimal Optimus with three accessories: a throne, a crown, a sceptre/mace. The name of the set? Throne of the Primes.

Also worth noting is the redeco of the figure, switching the Optimal Optimus colours for the red, black and white of the Optimus Primal version of the character while still using the bigger body. Rumours for Upcoming Transformers Movie Masterpiece Toys Including Jazz, Megatron and Starsceam

It has been a while we had some fun rumours to share with you. This one here is more believeable than most since it comes from the same source that first brought up MPM Ironhide a year ago and it does have characters Hasbro has alluded to in the past (like MPM Starscream). Ok so without further ado, we have from Baidu rumours of the upcoming MPM releases and they are:

MPM 08 Jazz
MPM0 09 Megatron
MPM 10 Starscream

Another user has it as
MPM 08 Megatron
MPM 09 Starscream
MPM l0 Jazz

So of course, the numbers are not the same but the same characters keep coming up. Hasbro had mentioned the possibility of an MPM Starscream in their New York Toy Fair interview.

MPM 07 is presumed to be Bumblebee from the upcoming film.

And of course, this could all turn out to just be untrue, so take it with a grain of salt.

Also from the Paramount Transformers Bumblebee Movie universe, we now move to Barcelona, Spain, and the Centre de Convencions Internacional where CineEurope 2018 is taking place - and thanks to a number of Instagram users attending the event, we get a look at the promotional banner and the cardboard Bumblebee photo op character used to promote the movie at the centre!

We previously reported on Studio Series Optimus having two variants in sword colors, and now we have received word of an unmasked variant. This news was brought to our attention by our own westjames/notirish. The images below come from a Chinese website called Baidu where user Dill0315dill has posted them. A similar image of a figure that closeley resembles the one in the pictures below was found on Hasbro's Instagram page. From what we were able to figure out by translating some of the forum posts these figures were purchased in bulk from Taobao. Though it is still a bit of a mystery. Do you think we will find these variants outside of China? If you do happen upon one of these figures let us know!

According to a number on online sources, including regular and trustworthy retailers Loopaza Mega Store on Facebook, we have what seems to be potential news of a new release in the Takara Tomy Transformers Masterpiece toyline, in the form of a new redeco of the MP-39 mold (Sunstreaker).

The new figure, as listed for an August release, would be MP-42 Cordon / Countach, which many are speculating is the Diaclone version of the recent Sunstreaker figure, as the White Police version of the character, the Lamborghini Countach LP500S "Super Tuning". We have no confirmation a yet, but do join the speculation in the Energon Pub discussion boards!

Takaratomy Transformers

We have receive information regarding the Takaratomy Transformers Release Schedule on coming August.

Nothing really surprise on the Power of the Primes toyline as they will join the US release. The most interesting one will be the MP-42, the Japanese named: "Cordon" which is nothing named like this in past Transformers. Rumor do notice this is possible the Diaclone version of the White Color Police ver. Sun Streaker. In terms of the price range, that might be true

Thanks to fellow Seibertronian Munkky, we have additional confirmation of two potential Transformers Power of the Primes exclusives found on online retailer Amazon - one for the Canadian site, one for the US one: Repugnus, and Counterpunch respectively.

The figures have been discussed previously, as Seibertronian Emerje points out below, as they appeared on other retailers as listings, but the Amazon appearance may be giving more of a solid base to the idea of either May Mayhem or San Diego Comic Con (or even New York Comic Con) bringing two new molds to the fray. We have no images or specific descriptions yet either, so stay tuned to find out more!

It seems Hasbro Asia is rereleasing Transformers masterpiece toys left right and centre. Not only are they reissuing MP 09 Rodimus Prime, but it looks like they will rerelease MP 08, Grimlock, as well. There is no confirmation yet, but there is a post on Weibo coming from Samuel 1230, a user regularly in the know of upcoming released. The post shows an image of the very same packaging of previous releases with the Takara box saying that they received an announcement of a reissue but that it needed further confirmation.

As with Rodimus, it is unknown if anyone outside Asia would stock this reissue. This could be great news to Chinese fans who do not own this toy yet (and to international fans too, if it becomes available to them). You can check out the extensive Seibertron gallery for this wonderful Grimlock toy. While it might not scale well with the current Masterpiece line, it is still the very best Grimlock toy we have ever gotten.

A number of Seibertron.com community members - such as westjames/notirish - have been sending us a notification of what appears to be a rumoured new figure in the Transformers Studio Series line - or at least, a new backdrop appearing on the TFCN fan group, and leading to speculation of either a new Megatron or Sentinel Prime figures appearing later in the line, once the current waves are dealt with.

The backdrop appears to depict the Chicago Bridge scene from Dark of the Moon, which features both of the characters, alongside Optimus Prime. As many fans have been asking for a bigger truck Megatron this might be a good outlet, but so far there have been no repeats, so Sentinel may equally be feasible - what do you think? Let us know in the discussion!

A new background for a mystery #StudioSeries figure. This takes place on the Chicago Bridge where Optimus and Sentinel fought, and also looks like the shot where Megatron said “who would you be without me?” Swipe to see each shot. Do you think this will be for Megatron or Sentinel? If they did make Megatron, my guess would be that he would have the desert as his background, but I would love a DOTM Megatron update.
