IDW Rolls Out To BOTCON!
Special Guests And Special Exclusives For The TRANSFORMERS 30th Anniversary
San Diego, CA (June 17, 2014) – Celebrating all things Cybertronian, TRANSFORMERS fans will converge on Pasadena, California this weekend, from June 19th – June 22nd to attend the annual BOTCON convention! With special convention exclusives, illuminating panels, and talent-filled signings, IDW is geared up to be part of the acclaimed franchise’s special anniversary year.
Join More Than Meets The Eye writer James Roberts, on Friday, June 20th at 9 AM and Saturday, June 21st at Noon in Conference Center 104 for spotlight panels that will cover Roberts’ career and history with the Transformers. On Sunday, June 22nd at 11 AM in Conference Center 104 the Robots in Disguise creative team of John Barber and Andrew Griffith, and the Windblade team of Mairghread Scott and Sarah Stone will discuss the far reaches of the Transformers series’ at IDW, plus a few hints at what’s to come!
Fans of IDW’s Transformers books will have a chance to meet the talented creators at signings throughout the weekend at the IDW booth. BOTCON 2014 is the only convention where you can meet the teams behind all three acclaimed titles!
IDW will have three convention exclusive titles available, all celebrating the Transformers 30th anniversary. Robots In Disguise #30, More Than Meets The Eye #30, and Regeneration One #100 will feature exclusive covers at $10 each, or $25 for all three. The IDW booth will also be stocked full of Transformers comics to either help you fill the gaps in your collection or start you from scratch.

ONCE-IN-A-LIFETIME “UBER TRANSFORMERS” EXPERIENCE
ROLL OUT WITH THE OPTIMUS PRIME TRUCK IN DALLAS, PHOENIX AND LOS ANGELES
HOLLYWOOD, CA (June 16, 2014) – Paramount Pictures and Western Star Trucks are partnering with Uber for an “Uber Transformers” exclusive experience in celebration of the release of “TRANSFORMERS: AGE OF EXTINCTION,” the fourth film in Michael Bay’s global blockbuster franchise.
The Autobots are on the move and following the launch in Dallas today, “TRANSFORMERS” fans and Uber users will have a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to request a pick up from the film’s iconic Optimus Prime customized Western Star 5700 truck as it heads into Phoenix on June 19th and Los Angeles on June 21st.
Fans in these cities can download the Uber app and enter the code “TRANSFORMERS,” then select the “AUTOBOTS” option to request a ride from 1:00 – 7:00 p.m. local time. The Autobots are extremely rare, so rides are limited and will be available on a first come, first served basis. Optimus Prime will take riders anywhere within 15 minutes of the request and the ride is complimentary.
Fans outside of these cities can follow along on the Autobots journey by searching for the #UberTransformers hashtag on Twitter and Instagram and by following the “TRANSFORMERS” and Uber social accounts on Facebook and Twitter.

TFExpo 2014 will be held in Wichita, Kansas August 1st through 3rd, with special guests Neil Ross and Sumalee Montano—and now YOU can be part of the action!
Have an idea for a story involving your favorite Transformers characters? Have you ever wanted to hear the story voiced by the actors themselves? Now is your chance! Submit your script to tfexpoict@yahoo.com by July 6th for a chance to win! Your script must be no longer than 15 pages, and include characters voiced in the cartoons by Neil Ross and Sumalee Montano. (Neil voiced Generation 1 Springer, Slag, Hook, Bonecrusher, Pointblank, Crosshairs, and Sixshot—whew! Sumalee of course was the unforgettable voice of Transformers: Prime Arcee.)
