You know when you are listening to Peter Cullen. Some of us have been listening to him as the voice of Optimus Prime from the time we were born. That unique, gravelly timbre unmistakeable. So when NASA released a short video on space exploration with that familiar voice narrating, we decided to share. Although this has nothing to do with Transformers specifically, it would not be hard to imagine this as a trailer or deleted scene from Dark of the Moon. Posted on ReelNASA's youtube channel, which can be found by clicking here, the video has been embedded below, enjoy!

With the release date of the highly anticipated Transformers Fall of Cybertron quickly approaching, several videos have been posted that cover a full range of features, gameplay and insight. These video's come from multiple sources in the gaming community and have been collected here in one place for your viewing pleasure!

First is an interview with game director Matt Tieger by Machininma:

Second is from IGN.com:

Attached to this video is an informative article that provides even more details regarding the loss of Co-op play.

Next is an article from Kotaku.com This includes more gameplay of Bruticus and others and features an interesting side article regarding the fate of the Dinobots:

The solution? It turns out these Cybteron games take place about 70 million years ago. When Decepticon Shockwave goes looking for some new transformation forms for a bunch of kickass robots, he happened to get a glimpse of prehistoric earth and the beasts that roamed the planet then. Tieger cautions us not to get too technical about which dinos were on the Earth then; just go with it. It gets us Grimlock in this game, a double-height robot who only can do melee attacks but turns into a marauding mechanical T-Rex (he looks very fun to play as). It also gets us other Dinobots, such as Snarl, Swoop and Sludge, all of whom I caught glimpses of in a level that started players as Starscream and transitioned into a very cool Grimlock rampage.

We will continue to update this article with any Fall of Cybertron videos that are revealed!

Transformers Prime: Season One's 1080p transfer isn't all that consistently pretty. Certainly, there are moments when the animation sparkles, but aside from its flatness, there are some technical bugaboos that drag it down considerably. First, the image is greatly hindered by what is oftentimes intense banding. Huge chunks of the image often suffer through terrible bouts, with entire backgrounds sometimes reduced to large masses of bands of poor color transitions. Unfortunately, many a line are jagged, and aliasing appears with some frequency, too. As noted, the animation is naturally flat and often looks to have a plastic-like texture to it. There's no real flow on anything but the Transformers themselves; human hair and clothes offer no real movement or textures. Such elements are very much flat and stiff, but that's inherent to the original elements, not a fault of the Blu-ray transfer. On the flip side, those Transformers can look quite good in close-ups; the digital artists have taken the time to create some fairly complex elements within eyes, faces, various exposed gears, and the like. Their metallic exteriors are scratched, dented, dirty, and generally well-abused, but that's mostly the extent of fine detailing. Colors, likewise, are very flat and lack much range outside of basic shades. The yellows, reds, greens, whites, and blues that make up the Autobots are bright but monochromatic. The Decepticons are a bit colder, favoring rather flat shades of purple and gray. It's all relatively simple, but it's that intense banding, frequent jaggies, and occasional aliasing that really hurt this one. The banding is nothing short of an eyesore, so audiences sensitive to that might want to rent before committing to a purchase.

Speculation over! After today's announcement, Michael Bay has confirmed the rumors by posting a news article on his own site. He will be returning for Transformers 4 after signing a deal with Paramount Pictures for 2 movies. Not 2 Transformers films however. He will finish his work on Pain and Gain starring Mark Wahlberg and Dwayne Johnson first, and then begin his work on the next installment of the Transformers Movie.
