Yeah, if it was 200$, I would consider it, but 269$ is very expensive. Especially if anyone has any of the previous editions of that mold.

APS-01 retailed for $190 over here, so this price isn't unexpected. Disappointing, but not unexpected.
Hopefully a few overseas importers will have this guy for around $200 US.

That is an APSURD price. I will keep my Jetwing Optimus that I got from TRU for $49.99 during Black Friday 2 years ago...that is my favorite large movie Prime to date. This is a senseless premium reissue.

The price is disapointing but fair since it would cost more to get everything seperately. There is no waiting for these and secondary market prices always rize on them later. You either get it or you dont. I wont.

Honestly, guys? This price is around what I was expecting it to be. I was hoping it wouldn't be this expensive, but I still knew in my gut that it was gonna be around this much.

I have two of the individual series, just not the stricker shield. I wouldn't pay that price for most of the things I already have. I would however will force myself if the shield is chromed. But I think this set Wil drive down the previous striker Optimus

As expected, overpriced ! Especially for the mold released many times before .If it had FWI-04 Jetwing upgrade instead of the U.F.O's. Jetwing pack I would consider it.but as it is...... Definitely a pass for me! Unless

As for why HLJ and Ami Ami wouldn't get the Asia Premiums, those items are for the Asian market outside of Japan, while the two websites are both based in Japan.
It's like how Takara sells TFs in Japan, but not in the rest of Asia, and how the Asian market stuff is for the Southeast Asia region excluding Japan.

Transformers Asia have updated their Facebook page with a ginormous amount of new images of the APS-01U Ultimate Optimus Prime. These images show off the new premium paint job as well as the weapons and bonus Allspark cube. There are also a handful of comparison shots with the APS01 figure. Nice! I'm really glad I sold my APS-01. U's color scheme is a nice compromise between APS-01 and the original Striker Prime (the additional paint apps don't hurt, either). The only real mark against him that I can see is the lack of face plate.

The only difference between the two is in the gas tanks. Jetwing uses the Buster ones from the version before, and so does this one. As such, the blasters from the Striker version don't attach to them, but as a trade-off, you can attach the Jetwing backpack. Striker's gas tanks prevents that.

Another thing I'm loving with this deco is the scarcity of chrome. It was not a great idea for APS-01's grill - which as we know converts into the bottom of Prime's feet - to be covered in easily scratched chromed.

Swappable heads would be nice (though the genius faceplate thing from Armor Prime would be even better since you don't then have a spare head laying about getting lost) but yeah overall it's got a nicer paintjob. Lack of pinstripes on the flames bug me though as that's one of the things I loved bout my Buster Prime though at least they added the brassy colours here (which I added to my Buster).
Love all the accessories but most of all loving the articulated hands. They just add so much more to the posing and personality. Overall this is a superb version of what was already one of the very best Transformers figures ever designed.

Owning the original ROTF leader OP, Jetwing OP and Buster OP are quite enough for me, frankly. It's a nice option for those who either have a whole lot of cash to spare or haven't gotten their own ROTF leader OP yet (as hard as it is to imagine), but at 275 dollars, I've got plenty of other things to spend my money on.

That looks great, I love the additional gold accents on the figure and that tiny blue dot on his eyes.
Its a bit dissapointing that the smokestacks are still that ugly gray-soft-weird-straw-like pipes.
I still prefer the Abs and the chrome on buster prime, I wished he had the same chrome pieces and more, that shield would look amazing with chrome.
Overall great figure...

I kinda wish the hands were a lighter grey. Also, still want a battle mask.

hes sick, no doubt, to those that get him enjoy. The reason i passed, no battle mask no can do, that face has bugged me from the day i saw it in the movies, ive passed on all the face versions.......just cant do it. Ill stick with buster.
