It's Monday.
BUT, to make your Monday a little more tolerable we have some news for you regarding the Devastator courtesy of forum member prjkt who has alerted us to the listing for Devastator on Big W's website.
Currently listed for $198AU that price may drop from June 25 when Big W launches their "Total Toy Domination 2 (the sequel) Sale". With the catalogue set to be released on June 20 we'll have more information then on just how much he'll be. The question is there, will he get a wide release? Let the hunt begin June 25!
If you find him, let us know in our sightings section.

Kids ... sometimes you just gotta stop holding their hands and instead, slap 'em with warnings.
Look I know most people here are older than me, but you don't have to make me feel stupid.
You guys have been here MUCH LONGER than me, cuz you're old.
Burn(t)!fenrir72 wrote:So why even raise the question? Dev's feet are fine no matter whether you say so or not as it's been integrated into his design as Scrapper and Mixmaster. Is it to just post nonsense to rake up your post counts?
Sheesh I was responding to this guy:Erimus Prime wrote:I am REALLY liking Devastator so far!! Sure he has problems, but man does he appeal to me! I'm hoping to get the SDCC Version since I prefer that deco, but the regular is still awesome!
Also, I know there are third party hands and feet upgrades for the Combiners, but is there any third party companies planning to make arm and/or foot upgrades for this figure? That'd be nice
Given by your responses, you remind me of tsutsu redux.

$33AU per individual figure. Deluxe figures are normally around the $30AU mark. So not too bad I suppose. Hopefully there is a price reduction for the sale and this isn't the special price (because if this isn't the regular price then he's just not going to sell)

If guns don't come with the Hasbro retail version of Devy, something on Shapeways will DEFINITELY pop up.

Dude, Dr Wu has already hinted at doing the guns. Try to keep up.

He's a poster too tsutsutakahashi who said that he's left seibertron. Mighty lively one too and he reminds me of you. As in a level of 1 to 5, he's a 6 in his category. Loves TF so much. You, I give a 4.8. Btw, this isn't a pejorative post addressed to you. Take a read at his posts and you'll see what I mean. You seem to have filled the void he left. Oh the exhuberance of youth

Fro what I can gather this is the retail price, which actually isn't bad - makes it a little cheaper than the US retail in comparison (as our prices included tax here) so this will be a (lay)buy on sight for me. Just have to keep checking the local store until I find him.

Your assessment is most apt my friend. And now..............
For the love of Primus people! If you want Hasbro to crank up the release of our "plastic crack", especially the Titan class.........please!Support the line and buy one! Gives Hasbro/Tomy the "incentive" to gut our wallets even more!
All those overgrown kids(yours truly included) you have your marching orders!

Plus I forgot to mention, I don't think there will be a "special" price for the sale, as Big W tend not to mark up then discount for a sale like other retailers here. They will, however, buy bulk clearance stock and sell that cheap (like the Beast Hunters stuff rumoured to be I n the catalogue)

We need to garner up support people. If the response is luke warm and Hasbro looses interest and finacial incentives.........we'll be back to "3rd Party plastic crack" Some are quality releases but most will kill you with the price

Yeah I kinda liked the guy too, I know he drew a bid of heat off some on here, shame he felt the need to leave.

The team looks good, the limitations are expected but no matter. He's a cheaper alternative for those of us who can't afford the third party combiner teams. Hope to get them if able.

I can honestly say that I forgive HasTak for all the bullsh*t combiners they have given us in the past few lines...we are friends again HasTak and I.
Now c'mon Takara lets see what you have planned for our beloved Devastator...please!!

I suspect Hasbro just got tired of seeing 3rd party companies coming out with bigger/better combiners, seeing people making money off them, and not being part of the action. Whatever the reason, I'm glad they finally got their act together and have started making some decent combiners...

Very thorough, very well done review with little time wasted. Only part I didn't understand is when he claimed to prefer the retail deco over the SDCC deco, and then in the very next breath complained about the tire rims not being painted....a major feature of the SDCC edition.

If my snark translator is working correctly, I believe the point he was attempting to make is that we Transformers fans fell in love with the franchise even when first-generation toys were unequivocally worse toys than what we are getting today. Yet there are those among us that believe that what Hasbro has been serving us with this Devastator is the pinnacle of cheap, lazy toy design in spite of the fact that had we received this toy in 1984 it would have been held as the greatest robot toy ever conceived in our wildest imaginations.
But my snark translator might be a bit out of tune.

On the mark. Some people................well you can't please despite whatever else you do. Don't know if it's for the sake of complaining or just trolling.
I keep on repeating this in my previous posts....back in the G1 days, we had to use this while squinting our eyes.......
G1 Bumble didn't look like his show counterpart until the Takara TFC 2004 release. Did we complain back then?
Now, we have advanced engineering technologies and still people are complaining.....on something NOT RELEASED yet!
If the complaint is about design faults like for example, Ironhide henkei drooping head or MP09 exploding shoulders..........justified.
