Botbots series 4 is ramping up to close out the year and now the "Surprise Unboxing" 6-packs are available for immediate shipping from Amazon.com. You can buy the Gumball Machine by clicking here or pick up the Claw Machine by clicking this link. Each set features six Botbots, including one Winner's Circle gold painted Botbot, as well as four stickers.
Yours truly picked up two of each set and was fortunate enough to get one of each of the currently known sets in this assortment which works out to be two for each machine, making a total of four of these capsule sets. Let us know if you pick up any sets that don't match these content listings as it's always possible that true randomness has arrived since this latest series omits instructions for the figures. While no coding system appears to be in place on the packaging to help out if you find these on retail shelves, the contents can be determined by checking which Botbots are in the clear-colored capsules included in each set.
If you don't want to be surprised by the contents, the breakdown of each "Surprise Unboxing" set is as follows:
Gumball Machine Sets
In one set:
- Smore N' More (Clear capsule)
- Frostfetti Frostyface (Clear capsule)
- Goldenberry D'uhnut (Winner's Circle Botbot)
- Game Older
- Fancy Flutter
- King Cubano
- Fancy Flutter (Clear capsule)
- Crumbly Yumbly (Clear capsule)
- Goldsferatu (Winner's Circle Botbot)
- Movie Munchster
- Smore N' More
- Disaster Master
Claw Machine Sets
In one set:
- Mr Memory Banks (Clear capsule)
- Blurray Murray (Clear capsule)
- Goldface (Winner's Circle Botbot)
- Miss Mixed
- Crabby Grabby
- Skitter Chatter
- Skitter Chatter (Clear capsule)
- The Cobbler (Clear capsule)
- Gold Dexter (Winner's Circle Botbot)
- Blurray Murray
- Milton
- Snotty Stem
Good luck out there to those picking these up to grow their collection of series 4 Botbots and be sure to drop us a line using the site's contact form if you see these on brick and mortar retail shelves or have any kind of sighting for the series 4 8-Packs.

The 5 packs are magic and science themed. The 8 packs are outdoor themed and movie theatre themed.
You can see the official images below. To put a name to the faces, we have the entire series 4 checklist here.
The Gumball and Claw Game multipacks are also part of series 4 and more info on what those include, along with links to buy them, can be found here.
The list of codes for the series 4 bling bags, already found at Target, can be found here.

So for anyone looking to complete Series 4, I would recommend starting with the unboxing packs and fill in the rest from there.

Amazon has them in stock, but it would be a crapshoot on which ones you end up with. I rolled the dice and ended up with the set with the flask and the telescope. Now I'm just waiting on the 5 and 8 packs to show up at retail to complete the rest of the series.

Funny you mention that. I just got my 3rd and 4th of the gumball dispenser packs from Amazon today. I originally ordered 2 each of the claw and gumball sets thinking/hoping Amazon would send an unopened case, which arrived Saturday with one each of the claw sets, 2 of the same gumball sets. Tried my luck and ordered 2 more, and got one of each. So I'll be heading to Kohls to return 2 of them in the next few days.

I think they actually mixed up the waves on these listings and actually gave us some sneak peek info on some new tribe themes for series 4.
The link below is for 1 each of the Travel and Asian Food 8-packs.

So I'll call it now, Burrito Favrito from series 4 will be redecoed into an egg roll for sure. I just hope they don't get lazy and also redeco Pucksy yet another time into sushi, that mold has been in every series so far, give it a rest.

But I also noticed couple Listings for Botbots wave 4 8-packs without any photos yet and due in February 2020.

Botbots is no stranger to food-themed teams, with Series 1 teams like the Greaser Gang and the latest Series 4 team the Los Deliciosos, so there are plenty of repaint and retool opportunities in the existing group to support another food-themed set.
Thanks again to TF-fan kev777 for pointing this out to us, and keep it here at Seibertron.com for the latest Botbots news as we receive it.

Two different 8-Packs are available, with only one of them providing all of the Botbots that a collector would need. Amazon does not allow a choice of which set you get, so many collectors will opt to order two of these sets to increase their chances of completing the team - though there are no guarantees as some collectors may receive two duplicates that are both the less desired option, but hey, that's what return policies are for.
Best of luck to all Seibertronians going after these previously hard to come by Botbots!

Be warned that the price is $20, which is more than $3 each for six Botbots per box. And yeah stickers are cool but I don’t wanna pay extra for them. Not a good value. But each set is necessary if you want ALL of Series 4. Only two in each box are visible, with only one in each box visible that’s different from the other assortment. And there’s codes under the box too that are different. After getting the 24 blind packs and these four sets I’m over halfway through with series 4. Waiting on the 5 and 8 packs to hit shelves so I can sift through them and not gamble with online randomness. I made a checklist using the Botbot list on tfwiki and I’m ready to pick and choose.

I got the ones I had but didn’t need and swapped them for what I found, so my set of four was complete. They were all gone quickly.

Can you share a breakdown maybe with pics, that would be newsworthy, or at least worthy to add to the story already, I wanted to grab them but was unsure of the contents

I've got all 4 already, and if you want to complete the whole series, you will end up needing both claw and both gumball variants as well. Tfwiki has you covered as far as what is in each package of all the the Series 4 packs.

Sigh, got 2 of the same. Ordered 2 more, hopefully at least one of them will be for the one I don't have and then I can return the 2 extras to Kohls. The 2 I have are the ones with The Pollinator and Mucker Von Digs, and I was bummed that I didn't see Grass Guzzler, but then I remembered he's in the blind pack bubble on this one, so yeay! He was the one I was looking forward to most!
Also, heads up to anyone with Amazon returns at Kohls, my wife was actually pleased the last time we had to do the Amazon return game. When she returned them at the Amazon kiosk at our Kohls, they have her a 25% off her next purchase at Kohls coupon. Not sure if that is an every time kind of or just some random luck, I guess we'll find out on Tuesday when the next 2 8-packs arrive.

For starters, this 5th series continues the gold rush games and the bubble will be yellow (chartreuse). It is made up of redecos, retools and new molds with new themes like air travel and asian food.
TF-fan kev777 found them on Entertianment Earth:
After seeing Starscream post in the botbots thread about an online retailer having some Series 5 in stock and on pre-order, I checked entertainment earth and they have the 8-packs in stock as well along with photos and the new tribe names.
The generic travel group is the Frequent Flyers and the generic Asian food group is the Hibachi Heats
The website has its wires crossed though, since the orders for what they call wave 5 are here but the listings with mages of wave 5 are here. That later listing, even though wrongly named, has the right info pertaining to series 5 inside.
The 5 packs were found at Target in the US within this time as well and bearytrek wrote in to let us know (that is his photo we see below). Those are the Party Favors and Los Deliciosos teams.
Series 5 was first found in the UK before any official announcement.

The Frequent Flyers bots are themed as items you might take with you while traveling such as a backpack, sun glasses, camera (that is slightly reminiscent of Reflector color-wise) and travel pillow, while the Hibotchi Heats are food themed bots you might come across at a hibachi style restaurant as the names suggest.
With pre-orders going live it shouldn't be too long until we start seeing the series 5 8-packs pop up at brick and mortar retail as well. Keep your eyes peeled!

Ergo, I stood there for about ten minutes debating which ones to buy, slowly whittling down my choices to four, then two simply based on which ones appeared in the fewest packs. Turns out the last two I eliminated were the "recommended buys," and the two I bought were superfluous. The figures I'd assumed were rare were going to be readily available in the five-packs.

I spent a good 15 minutes in store trying to read tfwiki on my phone and determine who the hell each one was to figure out which 5 I needed. It was a pain, but a success. I'll be using them as rewards for my youngest (and me) for good behavior during the shutdown.

The idea of BotBots and how they came to be stemmed from a meeting in the office of Senior Director of Global Brand Marketing Ben Montano. Talking with his team of designers, [Paulino] posed a simple question: "how do we create everyday objects that have more than meets the eye feel and what would it look like?"
Montano, in particular, is also quite a fan of the silly nature of the BotBots line.
"We wanted to keep the property a little bit loose, Paulino's team really brought what an apple or a sneaker brought to life would be," Montano said. "The seriousness that is most of our storytelling. just felt like it wasn't the best place to play here."
You can read the full article by clicking here, or on either of the pictures above. It's an interesting look into a line that doesn't get a ton of attention, but surely has its devoted fans.
Do any of you collect this line? Have your favorites to show off he here? Feel free to do so, and discuss the article below!

Let's be honest, the idea came to them as, "Shopkins are popular. How do we jump on that bandwagon?"

Target have updated one of their BotBot listings as Series 6 Caffine Collective, listing it similar to others in the series so far and mentioning this name repeatedly in the product descriptions. We knew from the last Toy Fair that series 6 was happening but this gives us the name and theme of one of the new teams. The pictures used for the item though are those advertising series 5, the gold rush games.
*Important*
Anyone buying this will not receive this series 6 Team. Instead they'll receive Series 5 Hibochi Heats 8-Packs.
This team isn't out yet and hasn't been officially revealed by Hasbro. All we have is this name.
You excited to catch more BotBots? Think these will give your collection a caffeine buzz? Let us know in the Energon Pub and stay tuned to Seibertron for all the latest news and reviews!

The source is the Lost Bots book that came out and I've been reading to my youngest every night this week.
