So, without further ado...
Logo by James Biggie. Art by; Ger Hankey, Kris Smith, Andrew Griffith, Daniel Light and Jenny Son.
Even in the most peaceful of times, when the people are happy and safe, there are those that would bring misery and suffering unto others. Those that would seek selfish gain. Those that would plunge the world into darkness. But, there is always a light to ward off the dark. A beacon of hope for the helpless. A symbol of justice that watches over all. There is always......a Prime.
Patrolling the streets of the capital city of Iacon, the newest link in the Prime Legacy, Optimus Prime, keeps an ever-vigilant optic over the citizens of Cybertron. Armed with the power of the Matrix of Light, Optimus Prime has the ability to create any object out of pure energy, and uses the accumulated wisdom and skills of the Primes before him to battle the forces of evil, wherever and whenever they prey upon the weak.
No one bot stands alone, and there are many other protectors of Cybertron who have dedicated their sparks to upholding justice. As Optimus Prime hunts down wrong-doers, he is joined by these heroes, each with their own unique abilities and talents. Together, these "Bots of Honor," strive to maintain the peace that has blessed Cybertron for many meta-cycles.
But, all good things must come to an end. Although the various villains that Optimus and his friends battle, dangerous as they all are, may seem random and un-connected, there is a dark force rising that could threaten the whole of Cybertron. Will Optimus Prime uncover the truth about this hidden threat before it's too late? What will the consequences be, not only for our heroes, but for every Cybertronian on the planet if they fail?
In 2011, get ready for action and adventure like you've never seen as everyone's favourite 'Robots in Disguise" do battle on a whole new level!
There are still a few slots left for artists and colorists, so if you're interested in contributing to what is set to be a memorable project, get in touch with us at bots.of.honor@gmail.com.

The only thing I DON'T like is Grimlock with a cane. Any robot with a cane is a terrible idea. Hated it in the movie... hatin' it here. (No offense to the BOH artists... pointing my finger at you, Michael Bay!)
Robots with canes....

To also be a bit of an art snob it;s nice to see quality art. Good work!

If the different designs for Megatron and Galvatron means they are different character than I'm really happy about that. Never liked Galvatron.
Love the crotchety take on the Grimster. I always welcome some new ideas and it is about time he be more than just a dumb brute or a intelligent leader with a speech impediments. Like some one said earlier, he is a Dinosaur figuratively here and I love it.

IMHO Transformers are not superheroes and never had been superheroes and every time they try to be superheroes they suck.

Is this their way of being ironic? Primus...

Better not to call them "super heroes" but rather "super robots" which unlike super heroes, they do kick ass.
I have decent hopes for this, but I'd prefer it if they took a lesson from the King of Braves' handbook.

Now, don't start pulling the GEEWUN card. Everyone is entitled to an opinion.
*edit*
Forgot to mention, I really like Optimus' design here. Beats the spark outta the Transformers Prime design, and it probably would have fit better too. Flames aren't too garish either.

Well, explain why Animated was a somewhat success? The citizens of futuristic Detroit viewed the Autobots as superheroes. And once and a while, a threat.

I agree. What might be an interesting concept is for them to be brothers in the same way 'Streaker and Sideswipe were, or even Op and Magnus in RiD...the similar designs could lend itself to that easily.

Forget Kup, the only good old bots were G1 Ironhide, Vector Prime and Animated Ratchet.
Kup and Alpha Trion should never have happened.
An old Grimlock could actually be great if he was done like old Bruce Wayne in Batman Beyond where he still has the attitude but you can see he's embittered because he's not capable of the feats of his youth. He still manages to be badass on occassion though.

Admittedly I may have phrased that wrong. I understood it was sarcasm. I meant that you are insulting people whom have a negative opinion to this.
My point is that, just because we don't like it, doesn't mean we're all "G1 was better" stereotypes.
Windsweeper wrote:Forget Kup, the only good old bots were G1 Ironhide, Vector Prime and Animated Ratchet.
My point still stands. Tons of other bots would have been just fine, but they went in favor of being ironic. That hurts my trust in the writing of this comic.

If that's the case here's hoping there's some Autobot (preferably Dinobot) equivalent of Terry McGuiness in there. Or would that just be Jazz?

I like the new take on this. The Transformers civil war can only be done so many times, as with all the Transformers personalities. Nice to see some variety.

Hmm... Jazz strikes me as having too much finesse. Hmmm.... Roadbuster? I want to say Swoop.

No, maybe "sarcasm" was a little off. Teasing is more like it.
Grimlock is interesting. Now here's the question: is this a "current" setting or is this a Grimlock millenia down the road?
I can understand canes if a bot get's old enough that the joints wear out...it's just like humans. I personally have no problem with them. It's an interesting concept at least.

Is this going to be official/canon?
Or it is another Mosaic(just recognized by IDW?)
The designs look just GREAT!!!
Keep up the good work!

And Grimlock looks like an old codger!?! Not what I'd have chosen for him......

I'll try to answer a few questions here...
fenrir72 wrote:Is that Starconvoy?
Nope, that's Optimus Prime.
SEXFIGHTER wrote:Whats gonna be the deal with Galvatron? Is he gonna be a future Megas or a whole new character?
Don't want to go into the specifics of these two guys too much, but I will say that they are not the same person.
Gimbo might be an old bot here, but he definitely ain't filling the role of the Kup.

Definitely not official / canon. This is all just for fun.

umm...Prime's Ark crew in G1 was all superheroes. We had a guy who could go invisible, a guy who could make holograms, a guy who had somehow survived as a spy for millions of years whilst being painted bright yellow, a guy who could punch through rocks, a guy who could make any kind of machine, a guy who shot freeze rays and a whole lot more. There've been Justice Leagues with less powers than that lot, and the Decepticons were just as obviously products of a superhero publisher handling the character designs, with a teleporter, mind-reader, guy who causes earthquakes, etc.
I'm not sure I particularly want TFs in full-on superhero type stories, but I can see the connection and can't see how you can say that they suck. I can't think of many times TFs have tried to be superheroes. Maybe The Girl Who Loved Powerglide, but I liked that for the animation, and the hilarious Psycho-probe slapstick.

Oooh... Swoop would be good. I mean, so long as your reinventing characters, Swoop always looked younger than the others, although his characterization didn't necessarily match up with that.
If we were superheroizing TFs though, I'd have to go with Roadbuster = Ultimate Nick Fury.
Although I guess IDW already has Kup running around playing Sgt. Fury.

Does Cliffjumper's ability to produce oversized weapons from nowhere count?

... guy who can induce insanity, guy who can cut through anything, guy with deadly optic beams, guy who can create damaging sonic booms, guy who can tap into the antimatter generated by black holes, guy who reflects no light, guy who can kick through concrete, guy who can control electricity, guy who can plant brain parasites in people and clone himself and his friends, and... three guys who can...? Wow, the reflector triplets really got shafted. Of course, thanks to animation errors, maybe they're Decepticon versions of Jamie Madrox?
I actually always liked the superhero aspect of the first season - the Nemesis and Ark crews were supposed to be the best of the best, so it made sense that they would be the Cybertronian equivalent of Metahumans. It also gives the other, later characters their own appeal, in that they're the 'normal' guys (Blurr excepted).
Of course, it does bother me that Windcharger and Shrapnel didn't rule Cybertron.

*Looks at the title*
So... this will be the Transformers equivalent of a story in an elders home, and the others are Optimus Jr, Megatron Jr, etc..., with old Grimlock rumbling "Get off my lawn!!!" ?

Both because it looks like a cross between a tank and a truck, and because Optimus prime's name in japan is usually convoy (or _____ convoy, depending on what it looks like, like burning convoy for example)
