The Tiny Turbo Changers are becoming a surprising highlight of The last Knight toyline. It could be because they are one of the only classes to be made up of completely new molds and designs and quite a good value for only $3 USD a piece, compared to other collectable toys at that pricepoint that usually lack articulation and the ability to transform.

For fans of this line, you will all be happy with this first look at series 2 which includes some new characters, designs and transformations.

The entire line up was revealed in an Argos Catalogue for the Transformers:The Last Kngiht toyline, which TFW2005 user Galva Prime posted. The line up has:

Hot Rod (the very first official Movie Hot Rod Toy revealed from Hasbro)
Barricade
Green Redeco of Blackout
Blue Redeco of Starscream
Cogman
Autobot Sqweeks
Optimus Prime
Bumblebee
Megatron
Shockwave
Decepticon Berserker
Autobot Drift

There are also Leaders Optimus Prime and Megatron pictured with the price they will be sold at, which is £64.99.

I'd love that Voyager Prime in Nemesis colours, partly because I think it would look awesome, partly because I need a Nemesis Prime of some description, but mostly because, with that truck mode, it'd make a pretty neat Destructicon Scourge!

Was gonna mention that Titans Voyager fits that bill but it's only a japanese exclusive thingy I seem to recall.

It's guarantee at one billion percent that there will be a "Nemesis Prime / Scourge" redeco of TLK voyager Optimus in the near future.

All you have to do is wait.

EXTRA WEAPON STORAGE FOR TLK BARRICADE

I never saw this in any reviews nor seen it discussed here before. We all know about Barricade's "riot shield" secret feature. We also know that the pistol and baton can store under the car. But appart doing that below, how to deal with the "gatling gun bracelet"?

Image

With all that space left due to shellforming, how about INSIDE?

Image
Image
Image

As you can see, everything fil perfectly without forcing anything. Just put the gatling gun in open position on the legs like so. No pegging, no forcing, just let it rest there.

Image
Image

Only thing left is to clip the rooftop in place and there you go. The gun don't even rattle inside.

At first glance, Barricade is a pretty standard toy. But secret features keep popping up! Any others left? :-?

The blue Starscream's probably gonna be Thundercracker (duh) and I have a feeling the green Blackout's gonna be Grindor as he was coloured a similar way in the Titan comics.

Who else could it be? Its an autobot and a car and doesnt have a visor. It could be someone else, sure, but I cant think of who. What looks cool here is that it might be his original alt mode, the citroen, and not the lambo. That could also explain his different deco.

I wonder why Barry has 'To Punish and enslave' on the side and not "Keep Calm and Hail Megatron" like the actual character has ?

------

Also if Jungle Bonecrusher and Desert Brawl are a sign of them in some sense of them not being dead then is the green Blackout/Grindor a sign of them not being dead either - or is it a sign they are going to make a 3rd Helicopter bro for the new Movie ?

-----

I would have liked the Optimus to be a repaint or a chase though perhaps with a silverknight deco or a different shade of blue with purple eyes.

Speaking of Nemesis Prime I wonder if Hasbro will go more non-canon with the toys and make a Cliffjumper or a Nemesis Prime out of the moulds they have. ?

---

If they make more of them I hope they do Brains too - and if they really really want to please me - I'd hope for the Kitchen crew.

Cos Hasbro has a secret deal with Reprolabels to not paint/deco their toys correctly to try make you have to buy stickers to fix them? Is just a theory. :P

Wish the shops round here would get some of those Tiny Turbos in stock. They could be sold anywhere. Newsagents, grocers and such. I miss 10 years ago where my then local Tescos Express wouldn't really sell toys (being that it was a small convienence store version of Tescos) but had various small ones for a few quid each like Hot Wheels cars, Lego minifigs and 2007 Legends class movie TFs. Was nice to pick up a small fun toy with my boring bread and milk and Tiny Turbos fit that bill perfectly (especially since the modern equivalent of those Legends figures is silly money now) :P

So far I've seen them in ASDA & TESCO supermarkets of medium-large size - I've not checked a titchy ASDA like the one in Newmarket Suffolk (for example) - I would guess Sainsbury's must sell them too as they are crazy about blind bag stuff in there.

I'm not really paying a lot of attention lately as the prices are delusional at the moment and what I really want to buy I Titans Returns anyway.

But I think i'll likely get the wee Blind bag Blackout or Starscream when I go out for some milk. Now I know the way to ID them more easily.

He actually does have Punish and Enslave on him at some point in the movie since when we first saw him during filming he had that logo on his vehicle mode so he only changes his line to "Keep Calm and Hail Megatron" at a later point in the movie.

Can I say how stupid "Keep Calm and Hail Megatron" is?

Damn memes.

That...doesn't actually mean anything it's just a toy in a line of toys with dead and missing characters and non canon repaints.

Grindor was the Blackout repaint and is a separate character from Blackout just like the Desert Brawl and ROTF Bonecrusher "clones" not being the same characters unless the con does not transform in the movie and is a hi and bye character there is no other Blackout/Grindor Coptor bro's.

This is the third Berserker figure...

I'm getting more and more convinced he is in the movie with three figures with original molds and the fact his "alt form" was on set for a little bit.

Image

As well as the random red X on his body being on his "cgi" model Image

Why go through all this trouble and effort for this con over Onslaught, Hooligan, Mohawk and Nitro as well although the latter does have a possible voyager coming?
http://i.imgur.com/8w2K4WB.png

It's nearly as much marketing as Megatron and Barricade.

He is described as a "Raging Berserker" so maybe he gets killed off early in the film like Sideways in ROTF by going "Berserk" against some Autobots or humans.

Just speculation and guessing not claiming that's what happens.

Now that I think about it Sideways also was in the first wave of ROTF toys and had some fair marketing put into him but then again these were the ROTF golden age days where Hasbro had better designers and budget then they do now. (Just guessing on the budget I don't know if they have more or less)

Then again Sideways originally had Demolishor's role and vice versa before being cut out then being written back in.

Yup, sometimes minor characters have a strange amount of marketing put into them despite their minimal role. Cliffjumper in TFP for instance, though that may have been intentional considering how hush-hush they were about his fate.

I dislike it when they do stuff like this raising ones hopes and then dropping them back in 2007 when I was younger and had little access to internet (Strict parents) I thought Wreckage was in the film since he was part of the first wave with other film characters so I was confused when he never showed up.

Happened again with Sideways and Breakaway and although I learned of Breakaway's absence before the film and was then disappointed since he would of been my fave of the ROTF Autobot newcomers Sideways caught me off guard when the movie came out and I was once again disappointed at having my hopes raised again.

I hope Breakway gets another shot he is one of my fave characters and has an awesome design and personality/voice (ROTF Game)

Happened again with DOTM with Shockwave, Dino and the Twins...yeah yeah I liked them I also liked Jar Jar and I'm still disappointed knowing they could have great send offs and redemptions to their character but noooo presumably Paramount was scared about what a vocal minority might think and cut them out instead of something smart like changing their dialogue or limiting their scenes and satisfy those vocal minorities by killing them.

Transformers Prime happened and what they did with Cliffjumper was awful, annoying and unforgivable and I should of known it when I heard the Rock was going to voice him if they were going to kill him they could of waited until the Season 1 end or at least the end of the 5 episode pilot so we could actually care about Cliff and not been wasted for a cheap and fake anyone could die scheme that never happened to anyone else.

Then AOE happened and the false lead up with "Rollbar" was also stupid and we got worse not-husbano "Lucky Charms" instead of a cool Autobot who might of been killed by Lockdown early but still would of been worth it more then a useless character contributing nothing useful afterwards. Stinger was another disappointment but I do know that many scenes of him were cut at least in alt mode which probably happened when the deal with Walmart went south.

These days my expectations are lowered but sometimes I can't help but get hyped and I'm sure there will be something in TLK that disappoints me so I'm going in with standard expectations.

Sorry if this is rant-ish but this is the most annoying thing about the franchise to me as well as the cliche and limited "5-man bands" that almost never grow that shows think should be the standard.

And, for an example closer to home that Deadput actually mentioned; Wreckage was based upon a design dropped early in the development of the first movie. This sort of thing does happen.

Though, the vehicle mode for Berserker has been seen on set, so...

Hot shot was a repaint though that's little effort to take an existing design and change the colors and call it someone else.

Slash is an example like Wreckage of being a concept design being cut from the movie and being turned into a toy, Slash and Slog maybe were also the same thing but otherwise it's probably Hasbro trying to push the Dinobot thing for marketing at the time.

But Berserker ain't no Dinobot or any previous character and there are other Decepticons in the film so why is a not film character a priority over one of the members of the "Decepticon Gang" and in a line with mostly repaints and retools Berserker suddenly warrants an original mold for himself?

Three times and for what?

Difference for the Vehicon is that they were never suspected to be characters we knew they were human vehicles used by Cemetary wind I think that was stated in interviews before AOE and that toy came out after the movie was in theaters for awhile and was an end of the line character.

Rollbar was a case of intentionally making us think it was a character for the "shocking" reveal of "lucky charms" and he only had two toys one was a repaint of a non movie toy in an exclusive boxset and the other being a cheap one step with a robot mode based on another character from an older show.

Bererker's alt form was only spotted once alone with no other vehicles like it and I think Barricade's car hood is in that pic (Maybe) but the TRF do not seem to use vehicles like that Surburban.

I think he might not be in the movie but I think he could be in it as well because otherwise what's the point in Hasbro using (wasting) resources to make three original toys of a non movie character when most non movie characters only have one or two in the same line instead of say a Hot Rod toy.

I do see your points and I don't doubt it but I'm not going to just drop out hope on the possibility I do remember one of the film makers stating that TLK will have the most Transformers yet. (Which worries me unless most of the extra's are unimportant generics)

We will find out if Berserker is in the movie when the movie comes to theaters or if someone who saw early screenings confirms it.

I just don't get it and if I can't wrap my head around it I usually question or doubt those things like why is Berserker a priority over Hot Rod or Cogman who are both fairly important?
