Me neither. I'm not a fan of a collection of figures that have all the same face.
But these Bay-Pops are especially creepy and ugly.

Cheap and collectible with a reference to whatever a fan of a particular genre might be into.

The highly speculative secondary market would like to have a word...

By that point, they are already bought, the question was why they were bought in the first place. They are a really cheap investment if that's the goal.

Oh yeah, at the very basis, they are cheap.
But now, there's so much and so many duplicate characters that some stores are overwhelmed. Some even had stopped ordering new stock like my local geek store. Funko even had to bury a few million$ of stock à la E.T for Atari cartridges!
Like, how many Mando Childs does one need? But still, new Funko are still appearing. Are the Funko Pop market imploding à la Beanie Babies or not?

The figures revealed are Transformers Studio Series SS-EX Nemesis Prime and Kingdom KD-EX Burning Optimus Primal, who is based off of the Burning Convoy deco we've had before for Primal toys in Japan.
These two figures are tied to a promotion where you can buy these toys when you buy a ticket for the Rise of the Beasts movie through Loppi for a total of 7330 Yen. The promotion is from June 1st to August 3rd and the toys will be delivered after, January 4, 2024. You can get more info on that here.
Japanese fans can bypass this for Primal who should also be available at the HMV website (wow HMV exclusive, takes me back) for 5940 Yen.
No news for any release outside of Japan, though they may be available on e-bay or through collector shops in limited quantities like previous promotional exclusives (remember Transformers Adventure Dogfight?).

Both will be sclapers fodder.
Sad.

Exactly my thoughts too. Even the pose is MLP.
Could've at least change to a front-facing, charging pose... It's what we've seen in every trailers so far!

A K.O will never have the same worth as an original in a collection.

I bought it. Instant regret. He was so loose, he couldn't stand up with his legs bending at the knee, falling tonthe side and hips so loose. Pieces about fell off. Looked good in box. Super glue couldn't help.

Walmart and Amazon does the same.
But I wonder...
WHO BUY FROM THESE OVERPRICED LISTINGS?

True. After seeing they made the stranger things Eddie funky, target exclusive that went for over $100, I was tempted just in case. I know better but still... lol

Grandparents, people that can't be bothered to shop around, and people with more money than sense. What really kills me is when I see something listed by TFSource and I know it's cheaper on their site.

I see people brag about it on Facebook, that they make enough that they don't have to worry about paying extra. They don't realize that paying those prices just encourages more scalping.

Sorry to hear that. My copy was perfect though, the plastic felt more solid than the OG. The legs are actually tight and pegs into the tabs, unlike the original version. The only loose part was the gun really didn't peg into the trailer hitch hole, the hole was bigger than the OG's.

Thanks. I'm glad his weapon was at least right so I could reuse it. But he looks good when I get him standing upright lol

Funko Pops are far from dead. Most geek stores have at least 1/4 of their store space dedicated to those damn things.

Back when we had a local ThinkGeek store, half the store was dedicated to the damn things. I never actually saw anyone buy one whenever I was there.
Again, I have never understood the appeal.

I found Rhinox in Walmart this week. I gotta say, I think he is the best bang for the buck of the voyagers, followed by Prime and then Primal. He is fun.
I also got the Arcee beast combiner. I plan to get one of each gimmick. She is pretty fun. bike mode kinda sucks, but I like the combined mode, especially the helmet sculpt.
Some group shots

Those were found in the US already and not at Walmart so I guess they aren't Walmart exclusives after all.

Very cool group shots; I'm kinda impressed how the factions share their respective aesthetic quite well. Kinda used to seeing factions look quite jumbled (even guys like the SS Constructicons).

william-james88 wrote:This article is more to shed light on a fact that many people in the west may not know about. As many americans are aware, global distribution will cause local shortages and imbalances in supply and demand. We saw that with Cosmos, where the UK got an ample supply while the rest of the world did not and with Galaxy Shuttle, where Canada got a very healthy supply. But, a Yoda would say, there is another, right now. And it's the voyager class figures from the Rise of the Beasts line, the toyline aimed towards kids which many fans have chosen to ignore.
Of course, not all collectors, and that's where the heat is coming from. Unlike the Rise of the Beasts figures released in the Studio Series line, the mainline toys are not widely available in online collector shops across the world, and not all are on various national Amazon sites either. So, believe it or not, that voyager Optimus and Optimus Primal you may see in your local Walmart are highly coveted, since there is no way but through brick and mortar retail to get them. And we all know how that type of distribution can turn out.
Due to this, both are selling for over MSRP online right now, with Optimus Primal selling for double his price due to being shortpacked. These were both toys which fans laughed out of the room due to lackluster paint jobs and poor sizes. As valid as those points may be, this comes to show that you never know how lucky you may be to have a toy available and you never know what can become a hot commodity in this hobby.
I actually found 3 Voyager Primals and an Optimus at my walmart an hour ago. Grabbed Optimus. They are in retail now. WA state.

chuckdawg1999 wrote:Something I was thinking about but couldn't confirm until now. The "Kid" friendly toys are all under the Beast Alliance subline. The voyagers and deluxes don't have that labeling. I think those are just meant to be regular "Generations" style figures.
They're more akin to the Deluxes of Cyberverse and the current Earthspark lines, really. "Generations" would be Studio Series
