Yeah, I'd like to know how much panting is involved, or if it will be like a log of Gundam Models where they are molded in the proper colors already.

Same. I'm really hoping i don't need to paint him to look good (I put together Gundam models but never worry about much more than a few stickers)
Everytime I see him I get more excited. I love the Gundam feel to him, and the headsculpt is absolutely fantastic

Among the model kits, you'll spot both Optimus and Nemesis Prime, plus a small Bumblebee in the superdeformed line and a fully equipped grey prototype, and a Starscream taking a nap on the display cases floor. Check out the images below, and stay tuned for more coverage from the event as the weekend goes on!

I plan to judge the kits themselves off of the first OP we get in September, but I'm hoping they're good, cause I wouldn't mind that IDW Prime or that Bumblebee. Or even Nemesis and Starscream.
And Star Saber looks pretty frikkin boss

Check out the images below and let us know what you think in the Energon Pub discussion boards! It doesn't look like Leo has a robot mode, but the result - which is totally not GaoGaiGar from Brave - is pretty impressive nonetheless.

*puts on yuusha oh tanjou...you just have to*
A few questions:
How much? And how soon can it get to me?
These are amazing, the detail...the sculpting...I don't care they don't transform properly, these are a thing of beauty. And I'm not just saying that as a massive fan of Gaogaigar Final (this totally looks like Genesic GaoGaiGar in combined form)

I am so glad I plan to get a lot less generations stuff next year.... I really want this. I will pre-order both as soon as they are ready.
Seriously, this is the coolest thing I have ever seen in the Transformers world.

But something Flame Toys has dipped their toes into as well are the build-able statues, and that is where today's news takes us. Following their first Furai Optimus Prime kit, which is available widely for Pre-Order and due this September, we have news that their second model kit is now going up on live Pre-Orders as well, and that second kit is Starscream!
Their new build-able kit of Starscream follows in the paths of their previous Optimus Prime, bringing a decidely Japanese design to the party for the old Seeker. The Pre-Orders currently have him up for $40, the same general price found for Prime, and due out in October.
Check out the description for Flame Toys themselves below, along with the new images, and let us know if you intend on taking the dive and trying out some of these model kits and statues!

So right now, I have Prime on pre-order. I plan to pre-order Starscream once TFsource gets his link up. And with the Nemesis Prime revealed at SDCC, I'll get him too. And Bee and Hound will both come once they are fully colored and ready for pre-orders, so right there are 5 model kits, wow.
Also, TFsource needs to get the Star Saber pre-orders up, and I will need to wait with the eyes of a hawk for Victory Leo.
So 5 kits and 2 statues. But so much awesomeness......

This Megatron is another one of their model kits, and he is the 2nd of their IDW designs after Optimus Prime, whom we got a glimpse at during San Diego Comic Con. This Megatron is directly based on his Alex Milne design from More Than Meets The Eye, and even includes an Autobot insignia engraved on his chest, the first official Megatron toy to go so far as to have an Autobot symbol permanently attached to his body.
You can sort of see the previously mentioned IDW Prime, for the first time in color, along with part of the Furai model kit Bumblebee, also for the first time in color. We will provide more images of all the Flame Toy's kits as they become available to us.
Update: We also have images from the same show of the newly revealed Devastator and Nemesis Prime.

We have official images for:
Victory Leo: Grey model so far, this fully articulated figure combined with their Star Saber to make Victory Saber (a really cool grey area of a non Hasbro/Takara company able to make somewhat of a Transforming figure).
Optimus Prime: Grey model so far, this fully articulate figure comes with a giant sword.
IDW Bomber Megatron: We only have the comic image they will be basing this fully articulated figure off of.
Shattered Glass Drift: this is a red redeco of the fully articulated Drift figure they released.
Bumblebee: Coloured images of this new model kit.
Optimus Prime : Model kit with preorders now open.
Nemesis Prime: First coloured images of this recolour of the Optimus prime kit mentionned above.
IDW Optimus: Coloured imaged of this new model kit.
IDW Autobot Megatron: Grey model of this upcoming model kit. He is seen with an autobot symbol, it is unsure if there is an option to change that to a Decepticon one.
All of these images were shown on Flame Toys' Twitter.

You might have read the original Autobot Megatron post. I made that post before heading to bed, and Devastator got added onto it a bit after I posted it. so you probably missed them adding it on since you read it when it was just Megs

Ah, that would definitely have explained it. I remembered Megatron, but for the life of me couldn't remember seeing Devastator before. Started thinking I was going crazy.

While the video review does not include the build itself, Peaugh does make mention of the time it took him to build, which was 3 hours, though 3 hours with interruptions, as he mentions.
Check out the video, and let us know what you think of this new model kit below!

Anime style is pretty accurate since it was designed by Akira Amemiya, best known for designing this:
Gurren Lagann
And he is indeed a Transformers fan, here's a bit of fanart from him.

I have an army of transformable Optimus Primes, so the fact that this one doesn't transform doesn't bother me in the least. For me, this is 100% about the bot design, completely uninhibited by the real-world limitations of making necessary compromises to the bot mode in order to accommodate one or more alt modes, while keeping the price out of the stratosphere. If I only own one version of a particular character, then yes, the ability to transform is mandatory. In this case, however, the complete dedication to the bot mode and the focus on its poseability rather than its transformability is exactly what appeals to me.
