POTP Starscream arrived today and, well. . . It’s something. I’d say he’s worth the $9 though. The robot mode is at least ok and the combiner torso is actually really cool. The jet mode, however, may be the single lowest effort thing I’ve seen from Transformers. Like, the Cyberverse stuff puts this to shame. But like I said, for $9 he’ll be a cool torso if we get some seeker limbs. And he does scale nicely with TR Megatron (who ironically has a much better jet mode).

I'm not 100% sure but I think there might be some mechanism built in to let the two insignia fold away from sight in each robot mode.

You guys realize the symbols on P/CP are on little doors that flip over to hide them, right. Although G1 Counterpunch did have his rub symbol on a door as well so maybe that's more authentic that way.

Hmmm, looks like HTS took the Throne of Primes Listing down. I can't find it with a search anymore and using a link from a google search turns up a pretty much blank page.

While there is a lot of excitement for what is coming after Transformers Power of the Primes, some fans are still in need of the wave 2 deluxes. Hasbro had said that they would rectify the situation and not only did those appear on Hasbro Toy Shop, but the wave 2 toys are reappearing at brick and mortar retail as well. The entire wave was found by Scotty P in a North Carolina Walmart.

This wave includes Blackwing, Snarl, Sludge, Moonracer and Rippersnapper.

Yeah I reported here and in the sightings last week at a local Target new PotP deluxe wave 2 and studio series 12 & 13.

I was just at my local Walmart looking for Cutthroat and Blot, as they got wave 3 Deluxes a few weeks ago but that half of the wave that I actually want sold out before I found that out. I asked someone working there when they were getting more Deluxes in stock, and they said they would be getting more in on the 24th.

So now after reading this, I'm paranoid that knowing my luck, they'll get wave 2 Deluxes I don't need in instead, great.

Glad to see Hasbro is restocking wave 2. I truly appreciate it when they listen and act on the concerns of fans and collectors.

I'm glad to hear about the wave 2 restock, I still need Sludge and Snarl.

What about Hun-Gurr and Elita 1? Those two never made it anywhere near here.

Meanwhile my local Walmart is overflowing with Hun-Gurrr and Elita-1, they just stuck five more unopened cases on the top shelf overflow space along with the six cases worth of figure still waiting to be sold. Also sitting on five cases worth of SS Voyagers wave 1 (three opened, two not). Not likely I'll be seeing Inferno any time soon.

Right now the only thing from wave 2 that I really want is the Prime Masters. At this rate I'll have all of the exclusive PMs before the retail versions.

I've seen Alpha Trion and Alchemist Prime exactly ONCE in the Twin Cities area, and I bought them both.

Switching gears a bit, I really have to wonder at this point if Hasbro is going to replace the "Transformers Collectors Club" with ANYTHING. That would be the perfect place for them to put out some of the last few odds and ends they've been neglecting from the Prime Wars Triology. Those products wouldn't have to compete with their new retail lines, especially with their "relaunch" of the new "War for Cybertron" Trilogy. It would let us get some things like a proper new Flywheels to go with Battletrap, the rest of the 1987 Minibots, a proper Legends sized Cliffjumper, the rest of the "Deluxe" Insecticons, some more deluxe combiner limbs to help fill out Megascream, Elita Inf1nite, and Firestormer, and even the last few Titans we need, like Omega Supreme and Scorponok (if it's true that Hasbro is going to abandon that size class due to poor sales). Hasbro just has to do a "made to order" system, charge a small premium to make up for smaller runs, and voila! Happy collectors and more money.

I believe we have already seen Hasbro's rendition. SDCC exclusives like Throne of the Primes, and the exclusives like Arcee, Grotusque, Nemesis Prime, Wreck Gar, Blastoff, Fisticuffs, and Repugnus

Interesting. I also have not seen any Leaders at Walmart, but the rest of that is inaccurate for me. Right now I have access to this line-up:

Walmart (in town)
Wave 3 PMs
Waves 1 & 2 Legends
Wave 3 Deluxes (sold out except Jazz)
Wave 2 Voyagers
NO Leaders

Target (15-ish mins away)
Wave 1 PMs
Wave 1 Legends
Wave 1 Deluxes
Wave 3 Voyagers(!), and 1 Starscream
Wave 1 Leaders

At this point, I'm just glad I was able to grab the Wave 2 Deluxes while I was at school. Talk about your screwed-up distribution...

Walmart - Christiansburg VA had (yesterday) Blackwing - Finally! I had found the others in that wavesome time ago and I figured I'd never see this in store but after hearing the restock news recently I went looking and found a lone Blackwing with no trace of the others so I guess it's a good time to search for them.

Pretty sure no Walmarts are carrying Leaders, not even Studio Series.

Yeah, the last leaders I saw at Walmart were the Rodimus figures when they first came out. The Target near me has both Rodimus figures and SS leaders.

Very few Walmarts are. The one closest to me does, and of course had 3 cases of Wave 1 just recently restocked. The next 4 closest stores don't carry leader. Only 1 out of the 4 stores closest to my work carry leaders as well, also recently restocked with Wave 1.

Yeah none of the Walmarts near me have Leader Class. Early on, one of them did, but it was almost like an accident since they didn't have any shelf space. Targets near me have plenty of leaders though of both PotP & SS, some even still have TLK lingering.

One Walmart had Prime Masters wave 2, and were immediately clearance priced at $3.00. I saw them twice, the first time I got my set, the second time a couple were left, then they were gone. It's that hindsight again, Had I known they'd be so limited, I would have purchased them all.

The only wave 3 *anything* I've seen was Inferno, at both Walmart and Target. I'm getting all the rest of my wave 3 stuff from BBTS since none of it has yet to hit my area. I got my deluxes Saturday, and my Prime Masters should be coming mid-week. So the only remaining items on my list are Predaking (which I'll be playing a delicate balance of saving/waiting for a potential sale), and Novastar.

I only ever saw one Potpie Leader class figure at a Walmart. It was a Rodimus but there was no place for it to go in on the shelf, so it was just taking up a spot reserved for Voyager class Studio Series figures. It was the only one of its kind there, and was there long after Wave 1 had been released. As such, I wondered if it might have been a returned item originally bought elsewhere.

You know, all this talk about difference from region to region regarding distribution really brings home the fact that there is no pattern. Not per store, not per area. So generalising things like saying that Walmarts no longer do something doesnt make much sense to me since for every anecdotal evidence of one theory, we get anecdotal evidence of the contrary.

Even my local Walmarts had Leader PotP figs, I even saw Rodimus Unicronus there once, but that was at least four months ago. It definitely isn't a regional thing and the stores that do sell them are so rare that I have to wonder if they simply had enough stocked that they haven't sold them through yet. If these same stores get Optimus Primal then we'll know for sure.

I live in a completely different region that any who have reported this phenomenon do. All Walmarts here had the first wave of leaders, and now they have none. Another regional report: Seibertronian carytheone, lives in the South, got Rodimus Unicronus on clearance at Walmart for $20 because they were dumping the class size even after receiving and stocking Wave 2.

I think it's some kind of corporate, nationwide decision not to carry Leader class, and it is strange.

Tell you what, I'm really stoked we got a Metalhawk in TR, and then this one in PotP. And they go well together, I love the Prime Master Metalhawk as a minigun for the TR one

My Must-Haves for PotP is coming down to Bludgeon and Novastar -- I'd like more but beggars can't be choosers on the local Hunt.

After the stock images appeared a while back for the Power of the Primes exclusive Wreck-Gar, we also now have some in hand images thanks to regular source of toy news Hobbymizer - the Hong Kong based Facebook group - and its users Oscar Fung and Andy Leung!

The images show both the vehicle and robot mode, including the new head and reused accessory for the Junkion, and the compatibility with the Prime Masters (Onyx Prime shown in some shots here), the instructions showing how to attach the weapon, and some of the poses this reuse of Combiner Wars Groove can strike. Good Question, but they could literally put wreck-gar with anyone. The logical choice would be Inferno, (that's my plan at least) but with a lack of limbs, you could combine him with anyone.

My plan is to give him to Elita Infin1te as a leg.
