Impossibletoys was the company that braught us the light up
Quintessons. Now they are creating a Diaclone sized Spike figure. Apparantly his arms and legs will be able to move, his hard hat can come off and he comes with a wrench. You can check out the images over at
TFW2005.

I say Sparklug more than Spike. Really it is.

Have any of you have tried painting a diaclone figure or sculping a figure that small? Do you know how difficult it is to paint or sculpt the little details. Plus this a prototype I think it looks good for what it is.
Impossibletoys is small budget company unlike Hasbro or Takaratomy that have machines that scale down the sculpts to a smaller size while keeping the little details.
I think it looks great.

All they need to do is make him fat and we have Sparkplug as well. Im suprised that no one has done this yet. Its a great idea. Now to see what the price is. What they should do is make Sparkplug as well and sell them as a set.

Doesn't even look like Spike. And that hat and wrench WILL get lost by most people...

Hmm....Interesting. I think it could have a lot better details, and I really can't see Spike in that picture. Hey did anyone hear about the Transformers Sneek Peek on Spike TV during The Ultimate Fighter 5 this upcoming Saturday at 9PM? I did not see it posted in the news section.

All I can say is "GOOFY BOOTS"
Also on the topic of Quint-01, don't trust the Ebay seller spiritbreaker or whatever the hell is name is. I ordered 5 through him and they showed up fine, but my 6th never arrived, no refund, no email response, nothing. He just took my money and ran.
Just a fair waring, Thanks Trevor Franklin!

Well I guess at least it has the same clothing that Spike would wear...
Looks more like a skinny Sparkplug IMO...
Seriously, a great accessory that is long overdue, yet poorly done even considering it's scale AFAIC.

Geez, that thing's tiny. I can't wait to see some pics of him beside/inside some of the Diaclone TFs. Maybe then people will stop complaining about his detail when they see how small he REALLY is. :\

For the size that isn't bad. I hope they improve it, but I'd buy it if the price was decent.

Looks like something made by a low budget company in the 70s. Generic construction guy indeed. It could be any one of the generic humans from the first season.

I have a dozen diaclone drivers, (mostly copies from Ken szemethy) and I've always wanted a painted one but couldn't imagine how because they're so small.

I always wondered where spike or sparkplug were when I got my Optimus Prime and they had a spots to sit in the command station, and even in roller.

I don't care if it doesn't really look like Spike. Still gonna get it.
I have Quint-01 and love it. I hope they do the rest of the human G1 cast soon as well.

So he is EDBD. The person who took the pics should put a ruler or other recognizably-sized object in the shot for size reference. It is very helpful!

Hell I would get seeing that its the only Spike we will ever see since Hasbro doesn't want to make a human figure asst for the Transformers line

why don't they just do all the humans- Carly before and after the movie, Dr. Arkevil, Mr. Burger, Spike after the movie and his exo-suite, Daniel, Spark plug and last but not least Chip.

Cool, it'd be sweet to put him in my G1 Hoist so he can sit in Hoist's chest looking through the window.
And yeah it's Sparkplug not Spike.

Yes. It's incredibly hard. The results are often disastrous.
So is this figure's alleged likeness being somehow attached to "Spike".
It's disastrous, comicly so.
It HAS to be Sparkplug.
I think it looks great.
Aaaand now you're just messing with us.

In a way, it's appropriate. The designs of the human characters in the original animated series were pretty damn generic, as well.
But yeah, I wouldn't spend any money on this.

I just got my Spike and Sparkplug today, awesome thats what I say. I give the thumbs up to them for making them. I am happy but on the card they came in it says 4 piece set who else would they make? I highly doubt they are making a fortune with these toys its probably more effort than you think to do something like this.

four piece set means that theres four peices that come in the package.... the figure itself, the hat, the wrench, and the base.... anyways.... i just got 2 of each in the mail today and they are awesome!
