I would much rather AA Seaspray and Sidearm Sideswipe. Not to mention that clean Deluxe Prime

I agree about MP Rodimus ... at least as far as the flame paint app goes. It looks like something that should go on a TFA figure, not on a Masterpiece toy that I'm paying $200 for. The flames should've been molded into his chest, in my opinion, at least slighly raised. Something special should've been done with the flames. Also think some "mech" detailing should've been added to the arms or something, or screw holes /bolts ala G1 Optimus Prime's upper arms. I'm hoping that Takara is rushing this out so that Hasbro can top them with the paint scheme. I can't help but wonder if that's why we haven't seen any pics of Hasbro's version yet ... get this one pushed out at the way marked up price, everyone buys it / imports it, then it gets released here with a more attractive paint scheme but minus the trailer so that people will buy it twice.

The only thing I don't like about MP Rodimus is the Hot Rod altmode. It doesn't look as sleek as it did in the movie. The whole figure itself still needs to grow on me though before I consider a purchase. Right now, Fansprojects trailer upgrade for classics Rodimus will be more than enough to suffice, for me at least

Alternity TC is a must!
MP Rodimus easy pass for me, never a fan of him or G1 movie/season 3/4 really
Speaking of TC agree we need Animated Voyager TC and Dirge and Ramjet and Slipstream(?) Voyagers too! And Constructicons! And Perceptor and Warpath...ok you get the idea...

Agreed, but I think I'll have to settle for the US version, I can't afford import Voyagers.

Why did you have to go and say that? It could work...actually, the wings and nullrays will look out of place, but yeah, it could work.

I think they've done a fantastic job with Masterpiece Rodimus. He looks like the best Masterpiece since Optimus.
Yes, it would have been way cooler if the flames had been raised off his chest but I would be very surprised if Hasbro does any better with the paint job than Takara Tomy whose paint is usually much more G1 accurate/generally better.
I hope Hasbro prove me wrong with this guy and classics Thundercracker if he ever gets made (Takara Tomy's crappy metallic dark blue ruined him for me) but I seriously doubt it.
If we look at the Classics line I don't think there can be more than 3-4 figures where Hasbro's paint job was better than Takara Tomy's (I'm all about G1 accuracy).

Agreed. I don't think the red windows go well with the silver either. I'm kinda hoping the domestic release gets repainted into something worth buying because the mold looks pretty cool...well, minus the puzzle looking hood with all the panel lines.

Heh, after seeing the colors on TC I thought to myself, "Hey! This would make a great Blurr project!" I'd have to mess and fiddle with the transformation to make the wings a little less apparent.

If Hasbro would have just went and painted the figure to match what is on the packaging, it would have been acceptable even with the nasty red.
You know what my beef with the "red flames" are? It's just the Republic symbol from Starwars (Republic? I don't know my SW that well, that's the red symbol right?)
Just a nod to another Hasbro product. Usually I'm down with stuff like that, but this one kinda sucks the cool out of the paint yob.
