Here's the highlights, visit CBR for the full writeup and additional artwork.
The CHAOS storyline will introduce a character that is being called a "Deceptigod". IDW editor John Barber describes the character as, "the ultimate version of [Transformers 'Combiners'] with all the Sweeps, all the Decepticons forming together into one enormous Transformer".
The previously announced one-shot Transformers #125, which would celebrate 125 issues of IDW continuity, has been officially renamed "The Death Optimus Prime". The issue was renamed to avoid unnecessary confusion. It will be co-written by Barber and Roberts with art by Roche. The two covers by Roche and Ramondelli were also revealed. The Roche cover has Optimus Prime opening the Matrix to reveal Cybertron. The Ramondelli cover is a tribute to Bill Sienkewicz's cover to Marvel's original "Transformers" #1.
Lastly they discuss the post "Death of Optimus Prime" era, in which two new titles will launch. "More Than Meets the Eye", written by Roberts and penciled by Roche, and "Robots in Disquise", written by Barber and penciled by Griffith. No additional information on these titles other than Barber and Roberts will be working closely with one another. This era will also introduce an third non-aligned faction of civilian Transformers.

WOW! Seems like Deceptigod is just one huge pile of Cons. You can always take all of your decepticons, toss em in one big pile and be creative#Sideways# wrote:Give us a toy of Deceptigod now.

ON a side note though, I've got nothing against Nick Roche as an artist, but I'm not looking forward to the pencils in the new spin off. I just find his appearance is too cartoony for the transformers, especially when he uses Don's designs. Like I said, I've got nothing against Roche, I just expected them to pick a different artist; like Milne, or Guidi, or Figueroa

However, I'm going to have to be wowed by story to buy into this.
THe Optimus Prime cover is cool. I prefer Bill S.'s work though. Sinekowits. But I can't spell it. (Sienkiewicz according to the internetz).

Do you think there's enough Sweep figures in the entire world to accurately recreate THAT thing?

I think it is only Sweeps combining to make it, not all the Decepticons, as you can see from the panels where Insecticons, Soundwave, and others are looking at it. And the hands look a lot like sweeps; wings came together to form them.

"Check the Marvel handbook."
Section 17, Paragraph 24: Pull a WTF move out of your butt and hope readers are so awed they don't notice what you did. Also see: finale of Blackest Night (DC).
Seriously, a combiner so freakin' big it's made of an entire race? The M. Bay aftermath begins here. Let the flaming begin.

Can we get at least one ONE damn continuity where Optimus does NOT die ?!?
