Indeed, sorry. I hadn't had my coffee yet. BBTS will ship the wave with Hotspot and Cyclonus within a week or two...

Well the Hasbro TF App showed a pic of Bumblebee seemingly based on the Blackjack mold so maybe

He looks like a lot of Throttlebots to me. We could get white, read and blue versions and you know what? I'd buy 'em. IMO recoloring him into Hotrod is a missed opportunity.

Yeah, My brother and I collected all the Throttlebots when we were kids, it would be great to get new versions of them
A deluxe CW Hot Rod would be better kudos to air-hammer over at Deviantart for this pic http://fc05.deviantart.net/fs71/f/2015/ ... 8i802b.png

Why not use the one that came out last year? It's deluxe sized.
Mainly because it doesnt look like Goldbug to me and its too big. Like someone else said the mould is not the best either and I already have Nightbeat with it. The gold plastic on it would look tight on the Blackjack mould though as Goldbug

Thanks I had forgotten all about them showing that Bumblebee repaint, so maybe. Goldbug I want mainly but I would also really like a Searchlight if they could mould some lights on him.

Ditto! I wish Hasbro would have been consistent and continued with the cards as I was keeping all my cards (including 3rd party cards) in collectible cards plastic sleeves. Now it's going to look like I have incomplete combiner teams.

I'm OK with Quickslinger sharing the same body and vehicle mode with Firefly because all of the Aerialbot limbs were relatively similar vehicle and robot mode whereas the Stunticons were more distinct.

That is exactly how I felt and what I was trying to get across when we last spoke about this. It's why I went the takara route for Superion but stuck to the retail hasbro releases for Menasor. The Stunticons being all different from one another creates a better sense of uniformity in a way.

Oh man, you got them eagle eyes!
And friends, now that I have Hasbro's Menasor, I played with every configuration and this is my ideal formation:
Right Arm: drag strip
Left arm: Breakdown
Right Leg: Offroad
Left Leg: Deadend
Like that, the bright colours are spread more evenly around Menasor while the grey and white limbs end up at complete opposite ends. And I prefer Dead End as a leg because you are able to lift his hood up creating a knee pad which mirrors the kneepad effect of Offroad as a leg, creating a better uniformity in the legs.
Which is your ideal formation?

Question or statement?
Because you actually can't achieve that pose with Menasor since the knee joints block when the legs face that way (with the top of the cars in the back). Do you have an actual picture of your Menasor to share?
Also, speaking of Menasor, look at how horribly transformed Dead End is (among others) as a leg in this pic, his head is sticking out!
You better wipe that smile off your face kid!

Except that everyone's still going to buy it, because it really is quite good. I mean, FoC Bruticus is flawed like crazy, but people bought it several times just because we knew putting money in Hasbro's pockets over a combiner was going to lead to the combiners we really wanted.
Thankfully, that gamble paid off for the fanbase.

I too like the knee pad design with Dead End as a leg. Mind you I keep to the official placement of Offroad as a left leg and simply swap Dead End and Breakdown, but it still looks really good. Plus, the kneepads hide the Motormaster feet, so it actually looks like Menasor has legs and not stilts

Wave 2 hasn't shown up in my neck of the woods yet, so Brake-Neck is my first in-hand experience with the mold. I have to say, I can totally see why people adore Dead End.

I just got him and with the recency effect at it's full power right now, I am likely to agree I love this toy as a whole. He is imposing, solid, fun and just looks great! I do not like Breakdown as an individual robot though, his lower half leaves a lot to be desired (take that statement as you wish). I can't wait to get more combiners as the year continues (waiting for the Takara releases of Superion and Defensor).

I can't give any opinions about Menasor, since I don't have Motormaster or Blackjack, but I can say that the limbs are very impressive, especially Dead End. I will say, in the promo the legs looked like a mess to me, but now they've grown on me with all the different configurations.

Dead End has been getting a lot of praise. I'd like to hear what everyone likes so much about him. Not being a Negative Nancy here, just genuinely curious.
Posted by gothsaurus on May 19th, 2015 @ 8:48am CDT
I'm still searching for my ideal transformation, but I DO think I like his legs simply straight down (instead of making hips of sorts). Stretching out the torso seems to make better proportions to my eyes. I also think I like the smaller bots to the top (ie. Drag Strip especially.)
When I get the last team member in the mail, will chime in with my final say.

peaces wrote:people have reported that motormaster hasn't been showing up at retail for quite some time now. i guess you can't even get him online now? the takara version might be the only way.
Come on man, would you stop scaring people like that. You said that about Blackjack too and it was false. Just because you haven't seen him and heard similar stories from some people doesn't mean he is sold out everywhere and will never come again. People who dont find him will obviously talk online while those who found him are too busy enjoying him and dont feel the need to report they have him. We have an entire sightings section on this site, so people can just go to their state or country and see what's up. Motormaster just started appearing in Canada and north american saturation is just starting, so calm down.
And you can't find him online!? Would you please check before you post statements like that. A quick search revealed he is on amazon near retail price and eligible for prime: http://www.amazon.com/Transformers-Generations-Combiner-Voyager-Motormaster/dp/B00NYSSOTO/ref=sr_1_1?tag=seibertron07-20&s=toys-and-games&ie=UTF8&qid=1432043587&sr=1-1&keywords=motormaster
So calm down.
To those who havent seen motormaster in stores yet, just wait a bit, he will surely turn up. Or you can always click on the link above if you want to make sure you dont miss out.
Now, back to the conversation. Cobotron, what I think people really like about Dead End is the super slick vehicle and the fun transformation. The legs flipping is a nice homage to his G1 transformation and I really like the red plastic they used for the car. I don't like the headsculpt too much though and I find the stubby feet not too pleasing. But I prefer those barely sculpted feet to Breakdown who's articulated feet are brought down by the uneven ports attached to his ankles, which look super clumsy. Also, Dead End fits nice and tight in vehicle mode, which is something I can't say for Breakdown, who's back always keeps splitting.
My favourite deluxe stunticon is Dragstrip too but they all pale in comparison to the gorgeous motormaster, who is my favourite stuncticon.

I can sort of see where you're coming from. Dead End is my third favorite of the Stunticon limbs. He has a great looking alt-mode and an interesting transformation, but getting his legs to peg in correctly can be a bit of a hassle (same is true for Streetwise). Not sure if it's just my figure, but his hands aren't capable of holding his foot/hand weapon either.
Dragstrip is probably the most solid of the limbs, but I'm quite taken with Off Road and his awesome headsculpt. Breakdown is a bit of a disappointment. His alt-mode looks great, but getting everything pegged correctly can be frustrating, and his hips are just awful.
I have to admit that I like the Protectobot versions of the Off Road and Dead End molds better than the originals. The joints are a bit tighter and they feel less sloppy overall.

You know what, It's kind of a toss up between Dragstrip and Off Road, as far as "my favorite" goes.
I by no means hate Dead End. I do really like his Alt mode, heck I even gave him an unofficial flight mode. His robot mode, esthetically is just sloppy to me. He almost has a boarder line movie esthetic ( which I won't go into ). He is still a fun toy to play with.
I'm surprised that Breakdown gets so much flak. Out of all the Stuntipunks he is, esthetically, the most Geewonese. I agree his engineering is wonky at best, but his head sculpt is great. It looks just like the old G1 head/combiner peg.
I feel like making a Willy list, just for fun.
Fav to least fav:
1 Dragstrip
2 Off Road
3 Motormaster
4 Breakdown
5 Dead End
and as far as configuration:
DS - R arm
OR - L arm
BD - R leg
DE - L leg
I like having the hoods of the sports cars flipped up as knee pads. I love Off Road as an arm because the hood makes a cool shoulder.
Off course, I'm SCRAMBLE CRAZY, so it could all change at any second.

Oh, competition is definitely present. Looking at you, mooncake!!!
One of the problems with a place like NYC is product saturation. Thankfully, there are 3 Targets and 3 TRUs in the NYC-area that are easily accessible to me. I'm not sure about TRU, but all 3 Targets receive product from the same localized distribution center, so if, for example they have a backlog of Wave 1 in the distribution center, all 3 stores will end up with the same product for months.
Same idea (though somewhat different in execution) with TRU Times Square, the store I visit the most often (thank goodness for price match). Because the Transformers display is so massive (I know, I shouldn't complain), and sell-through might take a very long time, they will occasionally skip a wave altogether, or end up putting things out on the shelves months after it shows up everywhere else.
I'm not too worried - things will show up here eventually. And if they don't, I'll buy online. But I must say I'm quite jealous of the folks who have wave 2 or are already seeing wave 3 at retail!
