We knew Bumblebee would change to an off road mode once in Peru and now we have images of it. We also see Scourge quite well here, including all the fraction badges he took from fallen enemies/victims. We also see Nightbird for the first time, which is a black Nissan Skyline R33 GT-R. One important thing to note is that the Mirage Porsche is still there on set. Some fans were speculating that Mirage would change from scene to scene and that the Porsche was just one of his many alt modes, but now we know that he keeps that alt mode even once in the different setting of Peru.

The images below come from instagram user @ramdeenstudios and the Transformers Peru Facebook Group.

I want to get psyched for this. My concern now, we were told Predacons....but I haven't heard a peep about them. Are they really keeping those guys more under wraps than anyone else?

Maybe they will be mostly CGI? We haven't seen anything of the maximals either... or maybe they just haven't started film for those scenes yet either way I am quite excited!

They're probably going to be really minor characters since we already know that the Terrorcons are the main villains here.

Anyone else notice the dearth of Autobot and Decepticon insginias on Scourge's grill? Like he takes their insignias after he destroys them. Very unique touch....I like it

Yeah, I wrote as such in the article. There is a maximal insignia there too.

It's not unique though, this would be at least the third time we had something like this. Michael Bay would do similar stuff like this in his movies.

We heard as much about them as the Decepticons. But unlike the Decepticons, they aren't cars so you wouldn't even see their alt modes in set(which is really bad news for anyone hoping to see Decepticons). The Predacons will be all CGI if they show up anyways. While all 5 fractions will be in the film, the main ones are the autobots vs the Terrorcons helped by the maximals. But the main characters will be 2 humans, so there's time that must be spent with them too.

True, but they said both Cons and Preds. And yea knowing preds will probably be minor they may not have speaking roles, rather a flashback where Primal talks about their war between Maximals and Preds.

Well I guess the director of Transformers 7 Rise of the Beasts saw that word and images got out and posted some nice group shots of the two teams on his Instagram. We see one shot of the Autobots with Steve Caple Jr in the middle and one shot of the Terrorcons. While we know the Maximals will also be in this movie (hence the film's title), they are all CGI, so only vehicle alt modes are on set. Which does indeed beg the question as to whether the Decepticons will be present or not since the "characters" shown in these images are from only 2 of the supposed 5 fractions in the movie. For the Autobots we have Optimus Prime, Bumblebee (in Off Road mode), Mirage, Arcee (first time seeing her motorcycle mode clearly) and an old VW van. The only other Autobot said to be prominent in the movie is Wheeljack, so this might be our first look at his alt mode.

For the Terrorcons we have Scourge, Nightbird and a an orange Truck.

I'm not keen on Scourge's design, he looks far too similar to Megatron's Dark of the Moon form with not a huge amount there to make him really stand out. While the insignias on his grille are a nice touch, from what we know about the character I can't help but wonder how different, if at all, he'll be from Lockdown. It just feels like the writers or designers were just cherry-picking elements that people liked from past antagonists and meshed them together to make Scourge. That being said, the three Terrorcons do look nice together, I'd say I like Nightbird and the tow truck more than Scourge.

If that Volkswagen van does turn out to be Wheeljack like many have speculated, I'd be fine with that. The Repairs decall on the side is fitting for Wheeljack's character, and while I kinda get where geewunners are coming from more now than I did in the late 2000's, I've always been OK with movie characters having different designs and vehicle modes from the originals as long as it isn't too far off. For example I'm fine with Ratchet being neon green because he's still a medical officer.

I don't know how the movie is going to turn out, but at least the alt modes look awesome. Bee and Nightbird look especially cool, and Wheeljack as a VW van definitely intrigues me.

A reporting by Cuscopolita, which you can watch right here on Facebook, looks at the different vehicles/characters on the set of Transformers Rise of the Beasts. You get a good look at the interior, if that's something you wanted to see. But more importantly, we get the names of all these vehicle characters. We learn that the Volkswagen van is indeed Wheeljack as many had guessed. The Tow Truck is called Battletrap and from the looks of it it's most probably just a cool name for a bad guy with no relation to the G1 toy.

These Bayverse Terrorcons seem to have about as much to do with the original Terrorcons as Movie 5 Onslaught had to do with Bruticus. Which means no Abominus either. Looks like the 'bayverse' movies are dropping the ball yet again.

Battletrap, huh? Interesting! G1 Battletrap was hardly the most memorable character (I think he MIGHT have gotten some appearances in the Headmasters?) and it is a cool name, so I'm not exactly seething over the nameslap.
Wheeljack being a campervan is kinda neat. Whilst I am awfully fond of G1 Wheeljack and absolutely adore the Lancia Stratos (especially the specific one he turns into), it does add some much needed variety to the Autobot lineup rather than him being another sports car. Plus VW campers are cool, and if he gets a good SS toy I'll be all over it. I personally would have gone with green instead of brown as a homage to his OG deco but I don't mind it.

While toy reveals were the biggest part of the Transformers segment in Pulsecon 2021, there was some Rise of the Beasts news as well. Anthony Ramos, the star of the film, confirmed Cheetor to be in this film. You can see that segment at the 1:40:00 mark in the video below. That would mean that the Beast cast, so far, is made up of Optimus Primal, Airazor, Rhinox and Cheetor. We alsohave Nightbird, Scourge and Battletrap as Terrorcons and Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, Arcee, Mirage and Wheeljack as Autobots. No names have been given for Decepticons or Predacons in the film.

Please note, the picture in the thumbnail is of old concept art, we do not know how Cheetor will look like in this film yet.

That's AWESOME News!!! I'm excited to see news outlets still using my old Cheetor Concept design! I'm sure the design will change for the film, but now I'm wondering if this old design will be close? A few months ago I got hit with a takedown notice from one of Hasbro's lawyers and Brian Chapman tried to call me several times too. I guess we'll see what happens.

We know from Deadline that Paramount has pushed back the release of Transformers 7: Rise of the Beasts by a whole year. Instead of coming out in June 2022, it will instead be released in June 2023, the 9th to be exact.

What makes this more interesting than possibly any other film delay is that more than any live action franchise, the Transformers franchise always has a major toyline assigned to it, often taking up entire retailer areas, as can be seen below. And the Rise of the Beast toys are already ordered by retailers like Target, which have the toys already in their system, for a 2022 release date. You can see the whole list of toys here (they are in spoiler free code names). And as we had seen in previous toylines for films, like Godzilla vs Kong, Black Widow, ect, the fact that the toys were already in the pipeline meant they were released anyway. So knowing all this, is it possible that we still get that massive toyline in 2022 instead of in 2023 when the movie releases? We'll see, but this is bound to be interesting.

High chances that the toys will look nothing as they appear in the movie. Remember the Beetle Bee? That was just within the normal timeframe. The movie producers could turn Scourge into a Skids-N-Mudflap duo riding each other's shoulders for all we know.

Yeah, if they take that time to redo the bot modes to have a different aesthetic, then it will be like the toys from the first film. I am more curious about whether or not the toys will release next year or they will wait for 2023.

This is actually good news, toy wise, as it means that the priority will be on Generation molds, including molds that they might have ended up cancelling.
If they already have designs made for folks like Polar Claw and Gears (who we know were originally planned for Kingdom, but cancelled), they will try to use such toys to fill in the gap so as to fill space.
I would also assume more cases of repaints, alas.

I don't think that's how they're doing it anymore. The Bumblebee Movie released toys in Studio Series, rather than having its own separate line. It doesn't make sense to have a separate line anymore, then release "better" toys a few years later.

Except the Bumblebee movie did in fact have a toy line, it just wasn't very large and shifted more towards younger audiences with the energon igniters skipping the regular deluxe/voyager figures that eventually went into Studio Series. That line was the only way to get TR Frenzy. That was the first movie release while Studio Series was in stores and was a bit different from past movies. But so far, it would also be the exception to what they have done in the past. It is anyone's guess how they will do things this time around

this is most likely due to how poorly movies are doing in theaters right now. Opening night for Venom 2, first showing, 8 people in the theater. I almost didn't go myself because I was afraid to be packed in a crowded room with a bunch of people. My state has a lot of people that call the pandemic a hoax. So while the low turn out was good for me and let me have a nite out, it is decimating the box office take homes for big budget films. Given the state of Paramount, and their recent decision to abandon big blockbuster pictures, they are probably looking at how poorly movies are doing right now and freaking out.

Venom: Let There Be Carnage had a $90 million opening weekend, bigger than that of the first film. Not a great example. But I do agree that this is probably pandemic-related.

I doubt it. This has more to do with supply chain issues than anything. It's actually really, really scary right now. Inflation is hitting record levels and will only increase as the supply chains tighten. This means less product, more demand, higher prices...a lot of economists are looking at the potential of superinflation now as a real possibility. This would be catastrophic globally. People have quit working and workplace participation is still at record lows despite rapidly inflating wages (another part of superinflation). There has already been an announcement of toy shortages for Christmas.

As for the pandemic causing this, not so much as government decisions to shut things down. Toys are nonessential and were shut down. Non-medicinal plastics were placed behind medical wares. Hasbro wants the toyline to coincide with the movie as research demonstrates higher sales of the toys, plus the toys also cause sales feedback into movies often, bumping ticket sales. It's a financial decision. In the end, what I HOPE it means is that when the toys are finally release, they will be extremely well-polished figures and as screen-accurate as current tech will allow them to be.

You won't get that. The ROTB toyline is a kids line like the BB movieline was with gimmicks.

Not so sure on that, but can't rule it out. At the very least, we will see Studio Series I'm assuming with the ROTB release. The reason I'm thinking we will see more polished figures is that, with the additional year they may have longer exposure to the digital models they will be using in the movie. With the other movies, I tend to think that they just didn't have enough time with the actual 3D visual models used in the LAMs...hence the Studio Series reworking through all the characters with considerably more screen accuracy. Hopefully, we will get Studio Series-quality (or ACTUAL Studio Series figures) right off the bat rather than after the fact.

We already knew that we were not going to get studio series toys to go with ROTB when it comes out since we knew the entirety of 2022's SS line.
We might get them later.
BUT if they take an extra year to rework bot modes and change designs, then the SS toys planned will now be innacurste since it takes 2 years from designing to consumption for transforners toys.

Honestly I'm actually of the opinion that delays tend to be for the better until they get to development hell status.

The Bee film I believe had a smaller delay and that film turned out relatively fine, for this film I only see this as a net positive, too much crap in the last few years got rushed out and tended to be eh.

This has likely to do with current life events impacting the movie industry as a whole rather than any specific trouble with the films production.
