Congrats to any Artfire fans out there. At least he'll come with a targetmaster.

The hollowed out areas was a big factor, sure, but so was the fact they changed Nightstick's alt-mode. As well as not add any decals on Artfire's alt-mode, which would have been fine if they decided to not have him be a Japanese firetruck.
In the end I will hope that a lot of fans here will enjoy this mold. All I can do now is just hope that HasTak will up their game with Legacy for characters like Artfire.

Also, I was already using Firedrive with Ricochet, so using him again with Artfire is perfect. A simple arm-swap, maybe a little silver paint for uniformity, and my targetmaster team will be ready to go!

That's Siege Firedrive he's holding, repurposed as Nebulon.

But would Hasbro do another release of such an obscure character since the first one based on PotP was just 2 years ago? Normally I wouldn't be interested, but I am getting Artfire. If Stepper came with his proper Targetmaster, I could definitely see myself getting it.
Aiming more towards United myself, but I wouldn't mind a SS86 redeco. Shame Jazz has some rotten luck with his translucent car shells as of late...

Glad I have this one preordered... He'll be my first Selects figure.
I'll consider putting a few different stickers on him, but definitely not all. I personally think seeing them all on is overwhelming, and yet underwhelming at the same time.

Yes, it's a bit irksome that either the bot mode is too big, or the vehicle mode is too small...
Regardless, apart from the low clearance of the wheels, it's a nice mold, IMO.

This new reveal is closer to the comic version than the previous release which adheres to the cartoon deco.

Marvel US always did that, using blue to represent black. Skywarp was blue. Trailbreaker was blue. Ravage was blue. Grimlock's black parts were blue. Rumble and Frenzy were both blue.

When the leakers first found out this existed a few days ago, they found and used the name Silverstreak before they knew anything else about the figure including the color, so there is a non-zero chance this figure will officially be called Silverstreak, yes.primalxconvoy wrote:Sentinel_Primal wrote:YES!! Exactly. Blue. Not black. I understand why the comics did it, bit the end result is is the same regardless of the reason. They were blue, not black. And since we're getting both versions, I don't see why this is even a debate.Sabrblade wrote:To represent the black of his original toy.Rodimus Prime wrote:And blue.Sabrblade wrote:But he was silver in the comics.Rodimus Prime wrote:If that Blue Bluestreak is real, I'm definitely getting it. Diaclone blue Bluestreak is blue in many of the wrong places for Marvel Bluestreak, and is missing all of his red parts too. To get a truly comic-accurate Bluestreak, he'd need to first be in his toy-accurate "all-silver car body parts w/ red and black robot parts" deco (as pictured above) but with the black robot parts, car windows, and car bumpers made blue. No part of his car's main body should be blue, which is the primary color of Diaclone blue Bluestreak's car body.Rodimus Prime wrote:Exactly. Blue. Not black. Nitpick all you want, this new blue Bluestreak is still closer to the comic deco than the cartoon deco, regardless of its origins.Sabrblade wrote:Diaclone blue Bluestreak is blue in many of the wrong places for Marvel Bluestreak, and is missing all of his red parts too. When was the alt mode blue in the comic? Looks silver/grey in every panel I ever read.

You're not alone in this.
I buy many Transformers simply because they are fun and cool while giving absolutely zero foxes about any backstories.

I'd buy it cause it's pretty. Good mold too. If easily attainable, it's a sure get for me.

I mean, I really like the color scheme, plus I prefer the name Bluestreak for this version cause of the blue sides, in addition to the "talks a lot". Plus, I believe that this was the original color scheme before the one that got used for the cartoon was invented, kinda like the Sunstreaker/Sideswipe color swap

I'm surprised that none of the comics have addressed the "Blue/Silverstreak" situation and just created them as two separate individuals...

Also, since they went ahead and gave us a decepticon datsun in Barricade, when are we going to get an autobot in a seeker mold? I know I'd be down for one, but would want a new or re-purposed character that is not an aerialbot or Jetfire.

Closest we have right now is SG Starscream, who'd naturally side with the Heroic Autobots were he brought into the normal universe.TF-fan kev777 wrote:Rodimus Prime wrote:You can never have too many Datsuns. I believe Takara did at one point for MP blue Bluestreak, where normal Bluestreak (who I'll call Streak for the sake of clarity) shared a name with the ultra stealthy, borderline mythical, Winter Soldier style Bluestreak, granting Streak a bit of intimidation when fighting Cons, while Silverstreak was an additional Datsun with no relation
