The main fact that he confirmed is that the voyager figure does not have a faceplate gimick. The face/head is static aside from standard head articulation at the neck.
Here are his thoughts followed by images.
Haven't seen the movie, I have to say the bot mode does evoke a close resemblance based on previews, but it might be a bit too dark. I do dislike the yellow "drool" and plan on coloring the chin and leave the yellow bits for the teeth. I'll admit it is a bit dark but then again the movie shots that I have seen seem to present a darkish metal tone (not a big deal).
The alt mode (I guess) is pretty accurate but we haven't seen the movie representation yet. Overall I am liking how the Voyager figures (Prime and Megatron) are nailing it with accuracy. The figure has some good playability/durability. It is pretty thick, akin to the Galvatron figure. I can imagine throwing it around in a bin and it won't break. The transformation is very intuitive without being “dumbed down” by cheating.
But yeah, this figure was very impressive and it definitely will be THE Megatron for my movieverse collection. Don't get me wrong, I like the new ROTF Megatron but I think the new one is definitely a couple of notches better.

If it had some bright colors the aesthetic might remind me of some of Marvel's late G1 or G2 designs. The G2 Cybertronians and Liege Maximo had that feel, I think.

This design does more have hints of Clench or even Stalker, yeah. Definitely missing some contrasting colours to bring out the depth of the design, too. Also a reason the robots look a bit... naff... on screen - they're often so dark you can't see what part is what.

Ah HA! That shows what's off with the new prime! The extra silver on his cheeks! I knew he wasn't looking quite right in the face, but couldn't place it.

Still he isn't a bad toy, he reminds me of the Bot Shots but with a bit more possibility (his arms are on ball joints and his hips have a single bar through them) and no Auto-transforming. The Rotors don't rotate though

The transformation is very interesting. Maybe it was already posted before but have a video review:

He's literally the only Last Knight figure I've seen anywhere outside of some one steps at Target and the Optimus helmet at Toys R Us. I just opened him up and haven't transformed him yet, but he does look good and worth the absurd hunting it took to track him down. No loose joints, good posability and nice paint. I'll upload a few pictures once I've messed around with him a bit.
I just got him and he's incredible. The transformation is superb, even though he's still a complete shellformer. However, this time around the shell hide everywhere in a very clever way. The truck look fantastic and the bot is ever BETTER LOOKING THAN THE LEADER! Yes, that include my ultra expensive special new remold from Takara.

The leader mold was never great looking in bot mode. Takara gave it an incredible paint job and al the retooled parts are top notch, but that never changed the big backpack and overflowing kibble. So yes, this one is a better realization of that Optimus. However, the deco on that Takara Leader is far superior.

Not quite true. Tiny Turbo Changer Optimus Prime is still licensed by Western Star, tho the baggies do not show that, rather it's on the instructions. One can assume Bumblebee is licensed as well, but I can't be sure about the rest of the current cast. The ones from earlier movies are definitely unlicensed approximations. The redeco One-Steps should be licensed by pedigree, as the original AoE releases were.
Just for the record, these are the current active licenses for the line I'm aware of:
- Western Star 4900 (Optimus Prime)
- Chevrolet Camaro (Bumblebee)
- Corvette Stingray (Crosshairs)
- Mercedes AMG GT-R (Drift)
Still awaiting the licensing info for Beserker and Barricade, if any.

It's undeniable that the deco on the Takara special leader is superior. But as they say, a polished poo is still a poo. I still like my Tak Leader but... The Platinum Silver Knight is still above it. Now #2 thanks to the TLK voyager that is the actual #1.
I 'll keep it in truck mode for this glorious display:

Ah, Chevrolet Suburban, like Crankcase before him. Thanks, and noted. On that note, his One-Step toy is possibly unlicensed, having only one lightbar. I know One-Step Hound isn't licensed.
And Barricade... is he still a Mustang-based Saleen in the movie, or a proper Ford Mustang this time around?

Dont know, but his toy not being licensed might mean he isnt a proper mustang.
Why would Berserker have the Corvette licence written in the back?

It's not uncommon for cars to be marketed under a different brand, the Suburban or variants thereof are marketed under Chevrolet, Holden, GMC and even Cadillac. The Corvette is a specific brand for sports cars, owned by Chevrolet, so it being on Beserker's info is a bit strange.
As for Barricade, I wonder what made Saleen or Ford back out.

Legal problems and all that. At the same time, how impossible would it be to license products from Ford AND Chevrolet in the same line/movie?! That's the kind of legal acrobatics only Hot Wheels can pull off.
Wouldn't be the first time Mattel was a party pooper when it comes to Transformers. From "Hot Rod" to having an exclusive license from Ferrari.
And you'd be surprised at how little needs to be changed to no longer requiring a license. Back in 2001, X-Brawn only needed to have the shape of his lights changed. And RotF Sideways may look like an Audi R8, he's still unlicensed.

Didn't the first Barricade also have some minor licensing problems at some point back in 2007 or am I misremembering things?

There's a lot of cool details on him and overall he looks pretty cool. the "Protect and Serve" knuckledusters are a really nice touch and in general the sculptwork looks pretty top notch.
The engineering mostly looks decent too...Mostly. The arm transformation is cool, and I do like that his weapons stay on his hips for transformation.
Articulation looks OK. Nothing spectacular but OK. A waist swivel would have been nice but wrist joints make up for that IMO.
Paint looks fair to middling. Should have been more but it's not horrendous.
The accessories kick arse. The shotgun mandala and the pistol are awesome and the nightstick is a nice touch to.
And then...there's the backpack. IMO it ruins the figure- if it folded up a bit better like some ROTF cars he'd be a superb looking bot (can't speak for build quality as I haven't handled it) but as it is it's an eyesore.
So yeah, I'm very much on the fence. He actually looks pretty cool but that backpack is just the worst. THAT SAID, if someone makes an upgrade that allows it to detach and form a riot shield then I think I'll buy him. IMO that would turn a mediocre figure into an awesome one.

No need to debate this, we know he isnt licenced, people (like I) have seen the box. Its a fact.
For those who havent seen the box, you have the wiki that states that the car is not specific:
A new-mold Deluxe figure, Barricade turns into a police car of indeterminate model.
Black Hat wrote:The engineering mostly looks decent too...Mostly. The arm transformation is cool, and I do like that his weapons stay on his hips for transformation.
I dont really know what you are referring to with the arms, they dont really transform much. They just tuck in like all other movie toys, like AOE Lockdown for example. I would say the engineering is the most dissapointing part of this toy, since there is nothing innovative and its even simplified.

its easier if you dont upload them but link to them instead.
Go to photobucket.com and sign up (its free). You can then upload your images to that site and link to them (they give you the code and everything so that it works well on message boards). You can also orient your images correctly there.

Wonder if anyone else's Barricade has an obvious hole for a pin joint on one of the rear passenger windows like mine does. Turns out those rumours are true, as fellow News Staff ScottyP just today found a Glyph Decoder in a Toys R Us at Cary, NC! This will help you decode the Glyph language found not only on the upcoming exclusive toys, but in quite a few other places in previous Transformers fiction too - it was for instance used in Revenge of the Fallen, and much more recently it was the language used by Vos of the DJD in IDW's More Than Meets The Eye. Take a look at the decoder below, save it for future use if you like and tell us if you've found it in your local TRU in the forums!
