Well this is a bit of a surprise. Thanks to Seibertronians Mindmaster and Sabrblade, we have been directed to in hand pics of an as-yet-unannounced earth-mode version of War for Cybertron Trilogy Barricade. While this isn't completely unexpected, given that Barricade now seems to be the Decepticon version of any Prowl/Bluestreak/Smokescreen mold, it wasn't guaranteed to be made, either.
Given that he's standing next to a cardboard Selects style box, it could easily be assumed that he's going to be released in the Selects line, but as Sabrblade points out....
Everyone, say hello to Netflix Barricade:
https://www.facebook.com/Planetiacon.stfu/posts/3412585258807390
Now, to clear up some confusion, this is indeed a Netflix toy and not a Generations Selects toy, despite the presence of a Generations Selects box behind the figure. We first knew about this figure from way back when we got these listings of many other Netflix figures, the first five of which later proving to be real.
As for the box seen in this pics, we don't know whose it actually is, but it definitely looks to be one of the TakaraTomy Select boxes since it has Takara's consistent misspelling of "Generations Selects" as "Generation Selects". Barricade, however, would not be coming in one of these boxes but instead in a normal Walmart Netflix Deluxe class package.
With that said, heeeeeeeeeeere's Barry!
So, Seibertronians, what are your thoughts on this latest use of the Earthrise "Datsun" mold? While there's no indication of when this might be released, are you excited to add this Decepticop to your collection when the time comes? Let us know what you think below!

These new shots show off Nemesis wielding his weapons (taken from the Power of the Primes Amazon Exclusive Nemesis Prime) and uses for the red Slitherfang repaint the set comes with.
As a bonus the images also show a comparison to Takara's Siege Nemesis Prime, released this past March. The differences in deco choices are apparent but the Netflix release comes with more extras in the was of the aforementioned Red Slitherfang, Giza, and the two double barrelled guns from the Amazon Nemesis Prime, and a black repaint of Earthrise Leader Class Optimus Primes trailer.
Check out the images below:
The images were taken by Chan Fuk Cheung.
Will you be getting this classic black redeco of Optimus Prime? Are you sticking with the Takara version? Let us know in the Energon Pub and stay tuned to Seibertron for all the latest news and reviews!

I also like the more extensive use of teal on the Takara version.

That's an interesting point I didn't think anything of it when I newsed but looking back at the reveal photos, giza was no where to be seen. Now its possible that the photographer added giza but I don't know

Nope, but we only found out he had it a few days ago when in-hand images started appearing:
I could have sworn this got posted here already, but I guess not.
I already wasn't intending to replace either of my Siege Datsuns with this ER mold, but this Barricade especially makes it easy. Worse/more boring colors, still no Punish and Enslave on the alt mode (although that's probably for the best given how this year has gone), and the bad-looking ER Smokescreen face? No thank you. The only selling point here is the fact that he gets an actual gun this time in addition to the shoulder guns.

I have and think I prefer the POTP one, but I almost never decombine him and its so big compared to the current Prime and Megs and other leaders that I am kinda looking forward this for a more scale figure. But this combo of Siege Prime with Earthrise trailer is identical to my Optimus and I dont want a straight duplicate

Okay, I do not get what's going on here, but either everyone is really confused or I missed something, cuz hasbro's is the one with the vivid black and teal, tt's is the one with muted colors, you can tell by the color of the wheels who is who, but everyone seems to have them mixed up

But Soundwave will be a instant purchase if I found him in store. I won't buy from a scalper though.

Takara's is the one with the teal con symbol, Hasbro nemmy has the purple con symbol. In the comparison photos, TT Nemmy is on the left, hasbro is on the right. This is confirmed by looking at stock images and the in package shot

Got it, someone said it was TT's netflix nemesis, forgot they did their own version that never showed up for sale

In my head canon (since I'm going to have both figures) the TT figure is RID Scourge's newest body while the Netflix version is Unicron Trilogy Nemesis Prime/Grand Scourge (if you consider those the same characters, I do). So one is a Decepticon that looks like Optimus and is on sort of the chaotic neutral side while the other is a creation of Unicron that looks like Optimus and is pure evil.

War For Cybertron Soundblaster = dark gray
Siege Skywarp =dark gray
Now Earthrise Nemesis Prime = dark gray
This is getting ridiculous now. They're all supposed to be jet black. Why is Hasbro doing this? Is there a logical explanation why they can't just use black plastic?

I'm beginning to think that the red Slitherfang doesn't have a name ..unless that's the spoiler for this set

This release contains Nemesis Prime (redeco'ed Siege Voyager Optimus Prime), trailer (redeco'ed trailer from Earthrise Leader Class Optimus Primes) weapons (from the Power of the Primes Amazon Exclusive Leader Class Nemesis Prime), Fangtron (redeco'ed Earthrise Battlemaster Slitherfang) and some Energon cubes. Also included is spoilers for the Netflix series, written in Cybertronian.
One of the big surprises with this set has been the incursion of Giza (the bird which transforms into a sword from the Amazon exclusive Nemesis Prime figure) as initial listings didn't picture him, which lead to speculation that the red Slitherfang was named Giza for this release.
We have embedded the review below for your convenience:

Frustrating case of first reviewer wanting to be first and not knowing about the toy or fiction itself... How ironic is it that someone who didn't even know this was coming is the first to get it.
Looks like he did some quick googling, but doesn't know that ER Prime is completely different from Siege, and there is no "Netflix Prime" (not yet anyway, its coming and will be the same as ER, just painted different).

I know what the cypher is, I was asking if there's any tipster to comprehension without going through it letter by letter. Like "the character for A looks like a lowercase a if you look at it sideways", shortcuts like that
To keep this on topic, I'm looking forward to Soundwave and Bumblebee from the next wave, I hope they start turning up soon. They're supposed to be next month, right?

As far as I know the Deluxes are coming end of this month/beginning of next month, but here in the UK the Voyagers aren't due until December, not sure about the rest of the world though.

This Soundwave is a retool of his Siege Voyager Class toy, complete with slight redecos/retools of the first Spy Patrol Micromasters (Lazerbeak and Ravage). Soundwave no longer turns into his Siege spaceship alt mode, instead taking on his classic earth mode! Lazerbeak and Ravage under go slight modifications as well with their appearances to better match their earth modes (for example, Lazerbeak sports a new head).
Soundwave is set to release soon but only at Walmart for those who live in the US and Canada (UK fans should keep an eye on Smyths toys)
Here's what PrimeVsPrime has to say about the toys:

Rodimus Prime wrote:I'll probably pick it up because I think it looks better than the Siege version but I don't like Ravage so either I'll sell him or just keep him in cassette mode in Soundwave's chest.
I'm in pretty much complete agreement. New Laserbeak looks good, but I don't really care for the new Ravage. I'm worried I won't be able to sell them separately though.
It occurred to me that I don't really want this for the tape deck mode, but more just because it's clean. I might try to get a Siege Soundblaster to have the mold around after I sell my Siege Soundwave.
Also, Buzzsaw when? Maybe that's one of the unannounced Selects sets.
Posted by Sowndwave76 on October 7th, 2020 @ 8:37pm CDT
But I will essentially hunt for this figure, because I can't help but think that the next time a G1-esque Soundwave is released, it will most likely be quite different, and imo, be hindered (and possibly ruined) by some sort of gimmick.
Which also means it could be a really long time before we get a better version than this one.
I kinda wish he was packaged with just Lazerbeak... I too could pass on Ravage.
In fact, I wish Ravage was replaced by Frenzy or Rumble.
Either way, I'm really looking forward to this figure; if I can get ahold of it!

It's been so long since I've seen that one Knight Rider episode. Cullen does go a bit deeper in the live action films. But not sure if it's close to anything like Venger from D&D or Cindarr from Visionaries, those were great villain voices.

It's mostly on display when he has Prime say his most aggressive lines like, "Give me your face!", "I'll kill you!", "He's going to die," or "We will kill them all."o.supreme wrote:Sabrblade wrote:He kinda already uses that voice in the live action movies.chuckdawg1999 wrote:I know this will never happen but how cool would it be if they got Peter Cullen to voice Nemesis Prime and he used the Karr voice?
