"Everyone hates me... everyone but you, Plexy."
It doesn't have a close-up view but I am so in love with that Brainstorm tbh. I know it's not beating the Voyager one any time soon but I want him to scale with his little group.

This vehicle mode looks amazing and they done a really good job on the retool tbh.
Only problem is it looks a bit... bland, but reprolabels are sure to fix that up.

Takara's is just as half assed. I dont see how giving the figure a sword changes the mold. Its not like the sword is integral to the G1 hasbro figure, he didnt even come with one.
Takara's won't be half-assed, it'll be...5/8-assed.
Hahaha, I can get behind that

There won't be one - they've unveiled theirs already, they're not giving him any changes, other than the aforementioned, unrevealed sword(s)

Stu@ as people have said, we've seen what takara are giving us with fort and aside from a more anime accurate cerebros/fortress, I think you'll be disappointed in what you find.

Going to go on a limb and say they'll reveal him within a month of SDCC. That's usually when the big-name exclusives pop up, right?

PMOP's Titanmaster gimmick can be ignored, apparently (if you look closely, you can see one of Apex's arms inside the helmet).

It definitely will, the ramps are connected to his shoulders and chest, so, the clearances should allow

Niiiiiiiice. Still missing some important stuff like the hip cannons, but this is still starting to look well good.

Indeed, the knowledge that you can at least approximate the city mode should be changing several views about him

Aye. Though now I'm a bit curious; did I miss something important because why do the legs open up?

There's a lot of "unofficial" modes out there for Transformers. That's part of the fun, discovering these things.
But I guess there are some people who need instructions for everything in life.

Before they release these figures they really need to let a few fans play with them for a little bit. Look how fast someone figured out a better way to make Max look. I feel like a few figures could've been much better had someone fiddled with them for a minute and figured out where there were flaws.
Posted by RevTibe on May 28th, 2016 @ 7:56pm CDT
Hasbro is pushing the playset angle really hard, so a slightly uglier base mode with more playable space may have been preferable to a prettier base mode.

That's true. I now can't decide whether I like more playable space or G1 accuracy. Actually, never mind, I prefer more play space.

Yeah, that would've been a good move. Even if they felt they shouldn't put the mode on the box/instructions for... some reason, showing pics/instructions of a "Classic Mode!" to fansites/on their social media would've been a pretty cool gesture.
But anyways; base mode play pattern!

Kurona wrote:Maybe a bit off-topic, but I just realized that so far, despite the obvious focus on the 1987-era characters, Titans Return also features toys and characters from 1984, 1985, 1986 and 1988. It feels a lot more like a celebration of G1 itself almost rather than just the rebirth stuff.
And I like it.
There's not too many '84 or '85 characters. Really, the only major releases for those years is Soundwave and Blaster. The cassettes are only there because of them anyways. There is Brawn and Clobber as titan masters but I kind of feel like those are kind of giving us the middle finger like "You wanted these guys so bad and now you have them, happy?" This is kind of a '86 and on line. Honestly, Soundwave and Blaster do kind of fit into that too. Both of their toys were still being made in '86 anyways.

Because Metroplex's could - for his city mode, and fort max is metroplex

And now instead of Fort Max's legs forming fortified towers, they form some open air walls.

Btw I still say that they'll revisit this mold for Scorponok!(if anyone remembers the pic of Generations Metroplex I put on here ages ago with trying to put him into some sort of a Scorpion mode)
But Trypticon & Omega will obviously be new molds
Posted by Deathsanras on May 29th, 2016 @ 3:40am CDT
I know the Metroplex transformation scheme might limit what they can do about getting into the classic G1 layout, but this at least a decent compromise.

Ah okay, thanks
Well....that....coupled with a 3p add-on kit(if any indeed happen?) may give it that more original look
As for those Takara haters....just remember.....you wouldn't have gotten Constructions with better articulation, nor a deluxe Groove(yes! granted! Hasbro is now bringing one out as an individual item) or Slingshot(Quickslinger) or Breakdown(Brake Neck) or even a G1 Space Shuttle Blast Off(which I believe is happening) if it wasn't for Takara

No-one's saying they're hating Takara though.
On the contrary, I'm very happy and grateful for the exclusives Takara pulls sometimes. Wildrider's my favourite Stunticon so I'm happy we did get him eventually, and then the things they've pulled with the cartoon lines - releasing unreleased figures like Blackout in Animated, giving us a Voyager Breakdown in TFP, retooling FOC Grimlock into RiD 2015 Grimlock, etc - have been very impressive and amazing additions to anyone collecting those lines. And from what they've shown us so far, they're going so far as to add in a sword for Fort Max.
All everyone here is saying is that you can't say it's "better" just because you speculate without basis that it'll have a ton of added shit. Hell, we can say for sure it won't have some of the stuff you said it would because we've seen the colour photos and they sure as heck don't have the hip cannons. And from all the stock photography and other stuff Takara have given us of Max so far, if they were gonna add in things like a recoloured Scamper or anything else, you'd think they'd have shown them by now. The only things that we know Takara Fort Max has over Hasbro Fort Max - that we know of, but I doubt this will change - are the two Master Swords of which we have only seen silhouettes and don't know how they'll actually look, and a different colour scheme more accurate to The Headmasters anime which may be more or less appealing depending on your taste. If you like the Takara version better, all the power to you. I think I actually might like it better too aside from the pure white ramps in city mode. But just saying something's better because you speculate it will have something is just incorrect.
