Fast Action Battlers are a superficially similar line from the first and second Movie Toylines. I'm pretty sure these ones are called Power Battlers ;)

Do we have any kind of confirmation that Vehicon and JunkHeap will be available as anything other than Fast Action Battlers from Hasbro or is this all we get unless we want to shell out exorbitant prices for the Takara Asia Exclusives? I can totally see Hasbro screwing us in this respect and then saying "Hey, you asked for them, we gave 'em to ya" when what we really wanted was the actual Deluxe (or whatever the heck it is) Class figures.

That's all we'll get in terms of actual molds for the two, from Hasbro and TakaraTomy. In fact, of the two molds TakaraTomy will release only Junkheap in Transformers Adventures, done in blue and white.

Don't be so quick to say that, we've yet to receive confirmation. High Octane Bumblebee is also part of that wave btw.

Let me correct myself.

Figures the 2 characters that don't have a trillion billion other toys would end up bundled with a half-dozen characters that do have a trillion billion other toys.

There.

Thanks JelZe.
While I find it disappointing I will try to keep my cynicism in check until I see them "in hand" and hold off on final judgement of these two but I was really hoping that they were going to get a better treatment. Who knows, I may be surprised at the final product.
Although, it does fall in line with the scenario I presented in my first post so its not like this comes as a surprise to me. :P

I'm bumping this. Why, you ask? Because I finally got the Breakout Battle/Farmageddon set and it's just great. Three fun molds, and the box is just awesome. Easy to get the bubble out and have a barn, a tree, and an explosion to use as a diorama. I <3 this set so much. Why did no one force me to buy this sooner?

The final wave of Age Of Extinction toys have been online only, so far, and for high prices since it's a single pack each of the Power Battlers Vehicon and Junkheap. It seems that's about to change, however, because the Vehicon has been sighted at close out retail store Ross!

Fellow fan and collector Andres Cova found the Vehicon at his local Ross store and provided visual proof of his find, including the price, which is $5.99

Andres posted his find in the Facebook group TRANSFORMERS ADDICTS! and we've shared it here for you to enjoy:

Well, that's basically what will happen. :/

Still, Ebay will be so flooded with these, the prices will drop back to normal retail levels and /or the basterds will be stuck with massive overstock.

It seems a few late Age of Extinction products are now surfacing at discount chains, like the recently reported Power Battler Vehicon. Well today, Seibertron himself found wave 2 of the Age of Extinction Kreo Microchangers at Dollar Tree. These are individual Kreons, 12 in a set, sold in blind bags. They were 2$ each, which Seibertron says is an " absolute steal".

Kick ass! Always nice when an item that had no hope for a wide release suddenly shows up, and at a nice discount!

... although the closest Dollar Tree to me is just out of convenience range. I can get there, but I really don't want to go out of my way if the store doesn't even have them. Besides, I already have the ones I really wanted anyways.

Kreons ain't normally my bag either, but I have so many Dollar Trees between my home and work that I gotta' check this out!

DT normally isn't worth looking into at all because they're the honest dollar store, where everything actually is $1.00. The only interesting TF KOs they ever had were of Cybertron Legends, including Brimstone who I'm not sure got the official treatment. Their only other item of possible interest to our fandom is some "T-BOTS" coloring books, featuring many robots that look vaguely familiar, including a yellow Tracks-ish fellow on the cover.

Some of their stuff doesn't get distributed evenly though. The store on Warren just west of Westland mall had a toyline called "S.T.O.P. vs. S.C.U.M." that I've never seen elsewhere, not even at other Dollar Trees. A cross between G.I.Joe and Mad Max, they all sold out fast except for Lady Lead about 5 years ago. I'll have to stop by and see if she's still pegwarming.

Man, this and yesterday's Vehicon news just keeps giving me renewed hope that Arcee and Chromia might still show up at TJMarshaxx or Tuesday Morning, cheap enough for me to stockpile enough Arcees for all the customs I've wanted to do! Marvel, Blurr prototype colors...

Just on a side note, who came up with the expression, "pegwarming", something about that sounds dirty.

It makes one wonder what is wrong with distribution. If I had found this set in TRU like it was supposed to be, I probably would have dropped $40-$50 bucks. If I'm lucky, I'll squeak by with spending less than $20. If I can get to a Dollar Tree in time, of course.

I don't think this one is any indication of distribution issues, since Kreo is dead and done in the US market for now. That's not to say there aren't any, I just don't think this is an example of it due to that factor.

I'm surprised these showed at all! Thought the ship sailed on them months ago in regards to showing up at discount. Happy for those that missed out though, that's for sure.

I actually had found wave one for 1$ as well, but in a cinema chain. I didnt know until right now with these comments that it was a good deal. Although they did add a sticker making is a real blind bag, these dont seem to have that.

Kreons retail at $3 a pop, and having no other choice but to import this particular wave was... obviously a lot more. So seeing these for just a buck is pretty amazing. Like "grab the entire box, slam a $20 on the counter, and giddily skip back home" amazing. Wouldn't even care about the lack of codes for that price.

I don't really know one way or the other...I just remember these were due out a long time ago and have been available in other countries for quite a while (I have about for figures from this wave that were sent from Canada). I was just figuring they were supposed to hit the shelves of TRU before the kre-o meltdown happened, but got gummed up somewhere...and then went straight to the liquidators.

Still don't want to buy any of the movie figures. Sorry, but Bay's weird take on them just doesn't cut it. I've only gotten a very few figures, like Evasion Optimus, and that only for his G1 ties. Snarl was the only other one that made the cut for me, again, because of his G1 roots and my fondness for stegosaurs.

I know this Chainsaw vehicon is rare, but I still don't want one....

To be fair, my post said "Lady-Lead" was pegwarming, which I only now realize has an onion's-worth of layers of wrong in it. I mean, I know lead-poisoning contributed to the fall of the Roman Empire, but maybe it wasn't just from the pipes their drinking water came through...

...um, right, AofE toys! I still didn't check out my Dollar Trees today, but some repackaged Kreo Cityville sets showed up in Dollar General last month, so the line still has a little life left.

Tried 2 Dollar Trees today, but nada.

A cashier at the Warren Road store said he knew what Kreons I was talking about, and that they'd be on the next truck in about a week, so hopefully that bodes well for other DTs carrying them if we're patient.

Anyone else canvassing Dollar Trees developing a problem impulse buying cheap junk food? Maybe I'm just upset that Lady Lead seems to finally be gone for good.

Okay, it's no loss, since the whole S.T.O.P. toyline was cheap and fugly...but I should've gotten one figure just for the compelling packaging backstory.

Oh, and they did have a Transformers/Angry Birds activity book, so the Kreons aren't the only official TF product they're carrying. No AofE stuff though.

On TFW's Kreo thread it sounds like this is mostly an East Coast thing.

Kanrabat once said you never know what you'll find at Winners (TJ Maxx in Canada) and he was right. A routine visit yielded some very interesting and odd sightings such as leftover Age of Extinction toys. The most notable is a Leader Optimus Prime at only 19.99$ cdn (16.12$ US). The walmart exclusive one step Stinger was also found which is as random as you can get, especially since this was never found in stores in Quebec, Canada (where these sightings are from), and had to be ordered online. The inclusion of Stinger leads to the conclusion that this is probably overstock from Walmart. For any fan who would only buy these at a discount or who had been curious about these toys, this may be your shot. Be sure to report what your local Winners may have in the sightings thread.
